Time of Reading 3:00 P. M. Birmingham, Alabama.
1. FEM: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep.
2. Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep, and all of the organs of your body will function properly, and you will hear me and answer all of my questions. You have before you this afternoon the body of Mrs. [3], and the body is present in this room. Now Mr. Cayce, I want you to go over this body that you have before you from head to foot and examine the body carefully and tell me of any ailments or disorders that you may find within the body, and then tell me what will cure or relieve the body from the conditions that you find.
3. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now with the conditions in this body we find there are many that are abnormal at the present time, yet without the body being all the time sick, yet all ailing, you see.
4. FEM: Yes sir.
5. We have a neurasthenic condition, also an anemic condition. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body - Mrs. [3] we are speaking of, present here:
6. First, with the circulation, we find this anemiatized con- dition existing. The body hasn't the sufficient quantity of blood to carry on to perfection the conditions that are to be met with from time to time; hence the tired, dull, leaden feeling that comes to the body when exertion of any character is used in the system. With physical it becomes an expression of same to the extremities, while if especially a mental exertion the body becomes tired all over, with especially a reaction to the sensory nervous system; that is, the eyes would be tired of looking, as it were; sounds become crossed, or too many of them - see?
7. FEM: Yes sir.
8. This is an expression of the neurasthenic condition that exists in this body. The amount or number of red blood corpuscles are deficient by more than a million in number. The white blood or the resistive force, through the leukocyte action, are sufficient in numbers, yet their action is hindered by the condition of the muscular forces in the body, as well as by the condition of the ganglia.

Especially is this true through the trunk portion of the body, through the pelvic organs, and through the digestive tract, especially in the connection between the hepatic circula- tion and the emunctory circulation of the trunk portion of the body. Hence with the dilapidated condition of the blood force, with the action of the hepatic circulation, with the blood forces, the condition we have through the trunk portion of the body, the lack of the blood for the digestive organs to function in their normal force as they should, the condition through the pancrean glands that assist in giving to the chyle the proper incentives for creative force of new blood is shown, as with the effect of the condition is expressed through the mucous excretions from the other organs that produce intestinal digestion in its proper manner and form.
9. The nervous system: The cerebrospinal nerve center or the brain force is good, and the elements necessary to reach the perfect equilibrium of both mental and physical conditions within the body show their place within the functioning of the brain cell itself. The lack of the blood force to supply needed tissue has an effect to the brain of making it tired when thinking, as we have given. The impingement to nerve ends through the lumbar region - third and fourth lumbar, where we have at times a very decided heaviness about this body, especially as of long standing on the feet or of sitting or lying in one position it becomes very apparent - causes the conditions to be oversensitive through reflex forces in the body itself.
10. The action of the sensory system is, as we have given, an index to the condition existing in the body. The sympathetic connections with the cerebrospinal, especially near the cardiac plexus, cause the especial sensitiveness of this body, as an individual, to outside influences, whether of physical or of mental aspects. That is, the body is very capable of reaching a very high spiritual development along either mental or physical lines.
11. The organs in their functioning themselves: We find in many instances the reflex conditions well defined through their functioning, as we find with the condition in the lung, larynx and bronchials at times. This is a reflex condition, rather than organic forces.
12. Through the digestive tract we find the same condition, yet some of the functioning elements, especially through the pyloric end of the stomach, shows some effect of organic conditions; hence the acid state often being found after an over quantity, that is for this body, of food of any character is taken in the system.

13. The liver and kidneys especially show the conditions as exist through hepatic circulation and through nerve and blood forces, for they are the indices of the ability of the blood in its circulation to take care of the physical within a body.
14. Through the pelvic organs and their functioning, we find the condition as we have given, as an expressive condition of the nerve forces and the blood conditions with the nerves in their impinged condition. Now these are conditions as we find in this body.
15. Now to bring the normal conditions again in this body we must reach them directly through the action of the mind forces, which in this body is the stronger element; yet they must be reached without weariness to the physical that would cause more direct influence on specific organs, or else we defeat the principle upon which we must bring the normal forces to this body - Mrs. [3] we are speaking of now.
16. We would give direct incentive to all of the ganglia of the nervous system from the first cervical to the end of the coccyx here by giving correct incentives to each, to give the correct vibration to the system. This we would give by applying cold each morning, just after rest - that is cold water - the whole length of the spine, then by rubbing well until the blood is drawn to each center along the whole spinal column. We would take very little medicinal properties into the system, and only those that act as a cardiac, or as an assistant to the digestive forces in the system, those we would find in clary water with specific elements taken every seven days for a period of thirty-five days. This we would take: Senna.................1 grain, Licorice compound.....1 grain, Yellow saffron........2 grains. Do this, keep up the exercises for the body and in the open as much as possible. Eat little meats, and those that are taken should be of sinew rather than fats, but with these conditions followed we will find we will produce the correct equilibrium for this body. Do that. Mrs. [3], present in this room.
17. (Q) Mrs. [3]: I wanted to know how long it would take before I would be cured. FEM: Mr. Cayce, this body would like to have you tell her how long it will be until she can be cured. Give a specific time, if you can.

(A) Depending on the conditions that arise through the same forces that have brought most of the conditions to bear on this body, which have been received by suggestion, both internal and external, and it depends on how much the mind controls the body. With the correct equilibrium established in the circulation, the rebuilding blood centers, and nerve tissue, we would give, if correctly given and followed, six to seven months before the body would be strong and fat, you see - fleshy, not fat.
18. We are through.
19. Mrs. [3]: Ask him when will my pains cease. FEM: I don't think he will answer it, because he says he is through, the second time. I will try.
20. (Q) Mr. Cayce, answer just one more question. When will this body's pains cease, if these treatments are followed? (A) [No response]
21. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will forget all about this reading you have been giving. You are feeling all right, and all of the organs of your body are functioning properly. You are feeling good. Now wake up in two minutes feeling fine and all right, and absolutely free from headache. dache.
