1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [18] - this we have had before. We find some changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here; some, we find, are not so good; others, we find, that showed distresses, as being nearer normal. In the eliminations and the assimilations of the system, there are such incoordinating forces as to produce distresses in the hepatic circulation, so as to bring an impoverishment to the blood supply, also leaving drosses in the system in toxic forces as come from those conditions in the colon, and especially in the descending colon, where there are some distresses that give the effects as seen in the system, causing an irritation there. Also in the lower hepatic circulation, the attempt of the kidneys to function when there should be more activity with the liver, as causes the taxation and the digestion in the system. This makes for the low pulsation, making for an excess in the white to the numbers of the red blood supply.
2. In meeting the needs of the conditions in the present - and there should be those precautions taken, that this does not become too accentuated in the system, for distresses of an aggravating nature might easily arise from the existent forces:
3. We would increase the activity of the liver in its functioning, so as to bring about a better assimilation. We would increase this activity through that of counterirritation externally, using those of the castor oil packs for same, and these should be kept up until there is a full activity from same; RELIEVING the pressure in the kidney and bladder area through the usage of packs of Epsom Salts.
4. It would also be found that the irrigation of the colon would be beneficial, so that not too much irritation may be left there.
5. When these conditions have been relieved, then we would,
18-2 Page 2
OSTEOPATHICALLY, EMPTY the gall bladder, so that the system in its excretory functioning may give off properly for the assimilations of foods.
6. We would also find that the care of the diet during this period must of necessity be in keeping with that as is to be accomplished; that is, no food values that are not easily assimilated should be taken, but as much of those as are intestinal and of the gastric forces foods as possible. Much of this will be found in those characters of water; also of the oils as may be given. We would, then, have an altering of the yellow saffron water with the camomile and also those of the olive oil as intestinal and as gastral [of or pertaining to the stomach or digestive tract.] antiseptics and foods for the system. Then the FOOD values would be most of that as is pre-digested, until at least there is the full awakening of the functioning of the liver in its activity.
7. The body should rest most of the time during this activity, for nausea and headaches and nervousness must ensue if there is taxation to the feet, or the pressure to the kidneys and bladder, and especially to the lower portion of the body in its eliminations. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Are the female organs affected in any way? (A) Only reflexly, from the inflammation and pressure as created in the lower portion of the colon itself, and through those of the REGIONS of same.
9. (Q) Is this condition what is causing the pain in the left side? (A) In the descending colon, as given.
10. (Q) Any special exercise? (A) The most of the exercise, until there is at least the eliminations set up through the hepatic circulation, should be of the manipulations to make for proper distribution of the forces. See, two to three days would be required for such an activity to be set up.
11. (Q) What kind of food should she eat? (A) During this PERIOD, should be MOSTLY pre-digested foods. Afterward these may be, and SHOULD be, of a high blood and nerve building food; carrying as much protein as may be digested or assimilated by the system - but there must be the preparations, so that this MAY be assimilated - see?
12. (Q) How long at a time should the oil and salts packs be applied? (A) As given, these should be applied until there is full activity from the hepatic circulation, or liver.
13. (Q) Any further suggestions regarding this body?

(A) Do this, for - as we have given - there may be much trouble arise unless these are aroused to their normal activity, both as to the pressure in the pelvic organs and to the digestive system itself, for the blood is being UNDERMINED, as it were, as are the organs of digestion AND assimilation being crossed in their functioning.
