1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions that surround the body, [19] - this we have had before. Now, we find an accentuation of those conditions that have formerly troubled the body. These at present are some little different in the effects that are produced. This more from the system's attempt to adjust itself to changes that have been wrought, and the rebellion - as it were - of the nervous system to this change, or to those conditions producing the disorders.

2. We find congestion in liver, and in the stomach the non-attempt - in a manner - of the eliminations of digested or undigested foods, with a poor circulation through the hepatics (liver AND kidneys), and an OVER-taxation in the circulation from the heart or from the diaphragm upward, with some fullness and nausea, with severe repressions in the head from the sourness in stomach and the pressures as produced in the circulation, especially the central circulation to the head. The eliminations, apparently, are sufficient from the lower intestines, yet not active properly through the upper bowel or through the jejunum.

3. In meeting the present needs of the conditions, we would first put those of a counter-irritant nature along the cervical region and base of head - either in those of a mustard plaster and use of Balm of Bengue (?) Bomgay (?) [GD's note: Druggist tells me this product is now called Balm of Bengay.] or antiphlogistine balm, or some counterirritant. We would find the mustard more satisfactory, as would be an emit with mustard water. Following same, use limewater and cinnamon water combined - a teaspoonful of each in a half to three-quarters glass of water. We would arouse the liver to activity; that is, across the liver area extending over the duodenum and the upper portion of the bowel; with those of castor oil packs as hot as the body can well stand them, and keep these up -

19-4 Page 2

that is, one after the other as fast as they cool - until there is a reaction from the bowel or the liver area itself, see? When this has begun to act well, these may be discontinued for the time being - but we would use a high enema to eliminate the drosses from the rest of the system; using at the same time, preferably taken internally, an intestinal antiseptic - that of Glyco-Thymoline, three to five drops at least twice each day.

4. We would also take those properties of the animated ash, that will release in the system - with the use of the ultra-violet light, especially, with same - to give a healing to the intestinal system, increasing the oxygen and removing the pressures, taking up the inflammation that causes the pressure to the head, to the neck, and to the eyes, and that reduces the activity of the blood supply THROUGH the liver. This we would take in one-quarter grain doses at least twice each week, following about thirty to forty minutes afterwards (taking same in water) with the application of the ultra-violet light for three to five minutes, especially over the liver and the bowel area.

5. In the matter of the diet, this the more often causes the disorders. There is found that, that which apparently has been assimilated all of a sudden turns at times to be of a derogatory nature to the system. This comes as much from the mental, or the body getting worried or out of patience, or those things that call for a sudden flow of the blood supply to different portions of body. This, as WE find, would be well for the body to follow at least very closely, until this present condition has been cleared up, in the manner as has been outlined.

6. Of mornings - citrus fruit juices or the dry cereals, with fresh cow's milk or goat's milk, but do not take cereals AND the fruit juices at the same meal. One or the other may be taken, followed with dry toast, with coffee or Ovaltine (which is preferable), or any CEREAL drink.

7. In the noon - we would follow rather a liquid diet, which may include beef juices for the strength of the body.

8. Of evenings there may be taken those of the vegetables, or the juices of vegetables.

9. Then, when the conditions are IMPROVED - when the eliminations are started again, the circulations are bettered - we may increase to those of the more solid foods. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) Is the cough caused by the general condition? (A) Lack of the blood supply through the upper portion of the body. With the clearing of the condition in the liver area, and in the duodenum and the jejunum, we will find the

19-4 Page 3

cough will disappear - or almost entirely disappear.

11. (Q) Is this trouble liable to be cancerous? (A) May become so, unless there is the releasing of the blood supply in such an extent as to ward off, or to prevent the breaking of tissue. Hence the taking of the ash, or the animated forces that loosen more oxygen in the system.

12. (Q) Should this ash be begun right away? (A) Begun preferably after we have begun to get the liver to act, else we will have a conglomeration of healing and of eliminations attempting to take place at once, see? Begin this in at least one to two days, but remove the pressure first from the head.

13. (Q) Does this affect the lungs? (A) It makes for a dryness, and at times pains through the upper portion of one side and lower portion of the other, but with the increasing of the circulation to nearer normal, this should be relieved.

14. (Q) The cinnamon and limewater, is that one dose - the teaspoonful of each? (A) Cinnamon and limewater is one dose - teaspoonful of each in three-quarters glass of water. This is to prevent pains through the stomach when the oil packs have begun to act upon the liver itself, see?

15. (Q) The soreness in stomach - (A) This will reduce the condition, see.

16. (Q) How often should that be taken? (A) It may be taken every two to two and a half or three hours.

17. (Q) What proportion should the cinnamon be? (A) Regular cinnamon water, as may be obtained - which is about one to forty, but just call for cinnamon water and limewater - they are made in the regular laboratorial experiments, that give for an activity or a settling and an easing of the tissues in the stomach itself.
