1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, with special reference to the eyes, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions with the body, and specific conditions as with reference to the eyes.
3. Now, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [56], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below normal, produced much by the hindered eliminations in various portions of the system and by the overtaxed nerve system, attempting through same then to create more of the leucocytal conditions in system, that the destroyed tissue through irritation in functioning system and functioning organs may be met.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, do we find the irritation with the eyes proper, and with the nerves of the portion about the eyes; we find then the whole nerve system is kept under strain; part by the strain of the expectancy of conditions, through worry, and through the various effects as produced; partly by a deflected nerve supply in the system. In the 5th and 3rd cervical do we find this especial deflection. Hence the irritation as is produced by used forces in this portion of system not being eliminated properly. Hence the irritation and inflammation at times as is created in this portion of the sensory system; not only the eyes, but the hearing at times, and the tendency to clear throat often.
6. In the other portions of the nerve system, the plexus of the 9th dorsal also shows some condition of irritation. Hence we have a nerve digestion, or a nervous indigestion at times, and irritation both pro and con created through the ilium.
7. IN THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, brain forces very good.
8. Organs of the sensory system, especially that of the eye, ear, show the deflection and condition and irritation as is produced in this portion of the body; also showing too much

circulation of a kind and character. Hence the tendency for colds and irritation in nasal cavity, troubles at times with antrum trouble, and the general condition of the organs in the sensory system.
9. Bronchials, lungs, larynx, show the effect of a subnormal blood, and of the nerve condition, though no organic condition at the present.
10. Heart's action is above normal in beat, but near normal in pressure.
11. The digestion shows the nerve condition, from deflection and from blood supply in the digestion, especially in the lower end of stomach, or the pyloric end, as is shown by the effect as is created by an exhorbitant effect as is created through the tendency of a plethoric spleen.
12. Full action in pancreas.
13. Liver shows the inactivity and overactivity in excretory and secretive forces, respectively.
14. The kidneys are overtaxed at times, as is shown by the system attempting to eliminate through these channels when there is trouble with the general elimination, as shown is the greater portion of the trouble.
15. In the general system then, we find this will be necessary for the permanent relief of the body:
16. Through manipulation, osteopathically given, we would correct those lesions in the dorsal and cervical region. This would necessitate at least thirteen such treatments or adjustments; and for the local condition in eyes we would apply those properties of evenings, or when the body goes to rest, of a scraped Irish potato (old - not new) - this used as a salve or balm over the eye and fastened securely in place; and of mornings, or late in evenings, these may be removed and bathed off (the secretions as are drawn from same by this application) with a weak solution of boracic acid; and in the evenings, before this is applied, apply those vibrations, for one to two minutes, of the violet ray, using the eye applicator for same.
17. With these corrections, with the building of the system, especially, towards that of the rebuilding of the blood force, and of the relaxation of nerve system by removing the strain over the ganglia of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic, we will find we will bring the normal conditions to this body, [56].
18. We are through for the present.
