Time of Reading 3:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [109]. Now, we find there are conditions as cause distress. There are conditions as may be corrected so that the physical functioning of the body may be bettered. These conditions, as we find, have to do with specific conditions as have existed and do exist with the physical, even structural forces of the body, and the effects as have been produced in body through these forces operating in a manner as not to bring normalcy to the functioning of organs, and of the effects as are produced in same through these conditions.

2. These, then, are conditions, as we find them, with this body, [109], we are speaking of. First:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find the effect of conditions as have been produced in system, and these are reflected in the change in the blood supply from time to time, rather than the blood supply producing the condition as causes the troubles; yet the conditions as are produced by same are not satisfactory, when these are changed so that a normalcy in the eliminations as are exercised by the blood supply, as well as the various effects as produced in the eliminating channels of the body, the conditions will be corrected and improved. In the effect as is produced in blood supply, this rather the effect of conditions where eliminations are directed in improper channels, and the attempt of the body to produce coordination BY elimination BRINGS eliminations through the forces that are not proper for such activities. As is seen in the effects as produced in the lymphatic and capillary circulation.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find much of the seat or causes of misdirection to the organs in their functioning. Through those subluxations as have existed, and in part exist in the physical forces or structural portions of body, these have and do produce the variation in the reflex action of the nerve system, to the extent that many organs function improperly, so that the changes of distresses have been of a

variegated or a varied nature. Hence constitutional conditions have arisen from same, so that weakness in various functioning organs is a result of same, and the body becomes, under such strain, weakened in vitality, and weakened in the ability for the nerve functioning to be normal in its reactions, whether to that of reaction through the mental proclivities and activities of the system or whether to that of the purely sympathetic or vegetative nerve system, so that at times, as seen, the reflexes become automatic, wherein the activity of normalcy would be those of the reflexes as are sympathetic and those of the voluntary and involuntary become reversed in their activity.

5. IN THE ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, as given, the changes as produced there are the result, then; of physical conditions as have and do exist in the lower lumbar and in the upper dorsal and cervical reflexes. These conditions and their activities to the nerve system, as is shown through the active forces of the organs as are directed through the functioning of the glands, as are impregnated by the reflexes through nerve activity, have given off those conditions as produce abnormalcy in reflexes to the body.

6. Then, to meet the needs of the conditions in this body: This will require that activity both in a systematic, in a sympathetic, and in an action that will be consistent and persistent to bring the better conditions for the body. WITH same, we will find the rest of the natural life in this experience will be more pleasant in its reactions and activity than has been the first half of it.

7. First, then, we will begin with that as will be necessary for the basis of the changes as are to be brought about in the physical functioning of the body - though we will find it will be necessary in every six to eight weeks that a CHANGE be made IN the administrations as the basis of that to be accomplished for, in, through, and by the active functioning forces of this body to be brought to normalcy.

8. We begin, then, with that of the constitutional, and this should be used for at least ten days to two weeks before other applications of ANY nature are given. With the use of these, discontinue those of the effect that have been used and are being used at times.

9. Prepare the basis, or the carrier, as this: To 1/2 gallon of distilled water, add Wild Cherry Bark, 6 ounces. Reduce by slow boiling (retaining the steam in same) to half the quantity. Then add 4 ounces of beet sugar, first dissolved in 2 ounces of distilled or plain water. Then reduce at least to 1/2 the quantity again, see? Then we would add:

109-1 Page 3

Compound Syrup of Sarsaparilla..............1 ounce, Essence or Tincture of Stillingia.........1/4 ounce, Essence of Silkweed.......................1/2 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium..........1/4 ounce, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium.........1/2 ounce, Essence of, or Tincture of Elder Flower...1/4 ounce. Then add 2 drams Balsam of Tolu cut in 2 ounces grain alcohol. Shake solution together before the dose is taken, which should be teaspoonful half an hour before meals.

10. The diet should be principally those that are alkaline producing in the system. Plenty of those properties, however, that carry BULK, as WELL as that of the food values. No white bread, however, nor potatoes. Little of ANY flesh or meats of any kind, though the juices of these may be added for the stimuli, rather than the proteins of other forces. Much of the nut and nut oils may be taken as will be well assimilated.

11. After this has been taken for a week to ten days, we would begin to so manipulate those centers in the dorsal and lumbar regions as to raise the dip as exists in the stomach's position, relaxing the system in the lumbar region, that those pressures produced in the pelvis may be relieved, tensioning those in the cervical that the pressure as is produced from improper reaction from those centers below the diaphragm may not overflow the blood supply to the brain.

12. Ready for questions.

13. Such manipulations, such treatments, should be given at least twice each week. After six to eight weeks we would then change these properties and these applications to meet the changes these are to create in the system. As is seen from the properties given, the activities of these are, in this compound, not only for the organs of secretion and excretion, as related to those of the ordinary physical functioning, but of the glands as well in THEIR activity and relation to the blood supply. Ready for questions.

14. We are through for the present. Copy to Cayce Hospital
