1. EC: Yes we have the body here, [135]. Now, we find, while the cause of the disorders and disturbances has been - or comes from - a specific cause, the effects as are seen or manifested are rather unusual, and while the even structural portions of the body and its - or their - development have been hindered, that - with patience, persistence, faith, consistently applied - there may be the greater relief brought for the body, and that conditions will show a great improvement for the body.

2. In the effects created by disturbance, where nerves, muscles, and even the sinew have been attacked by the bacillus - that of destructive nature - these hindering in the locomotion, in the activities of the locomotories in the system, the blood supply overtaxed by the attempt to create more of the warriors in the system, this requiring or taking up much of the vitality of the body - even at times affecting the mental in its better development, yet the mentality shows for a constructive force and for a development that may make for the bettered conditions in the whole system.

3. The blood supply being weak, there must be precautions taken that the food values are taken that are necessary for the resuscitating of all the forces in system as developments come. The body should be well supplied with those vital forces or vitamins themselves, that an equal balance may be kept in the system as the various organs begin to function in and under a normal manner, that these are not make to make the body OVER develop or UNDER develop in the various functionings of the glands as supply the nutriment in portions of body - of the organs as supply for the various functionings of the system in their relationships one to another. There should be kept those conditions for the lung supply as will make for a respiratory system that will supply for those nerve forces of the body which make for the proper execution of

135-1 Page 2

conditions as are developed in the physical functions, as to the purely physical, the mental, and those relationships as one to another.

4. So, we would - in the BEGINNING - use these:

5. Keep those proper manipulative forces as will make for coordination in the cerebrospinal system as related to the functioning organs themselves, so that the plexus impulses TO the various organs are stabilized in their activity as one to another.

6. Also we would use the low form of electrical forces that may be had through the Radio-Active Appliance - the plain - which makes for an equilibrium in the extremities of the body as related to the central nervous system, and that the body may REST the better in its normal activity.

7. We would also prepare this, to be used as a massage along the cerebrospinal system, and especially over the lower locomotary and the upper brachial centers. This we would not use oftener than once each week. When those conditions in the extremities - or in face, neck, hands, arms OR limbs - are not so they may be used or coordinated properly, through those infectious forces as HAVE affected the body - this may be massaged also into THESE portions of the body:

8. Take 1/2 gallon of pure gasoline - not high test, but plain gasoline - NOT colored. Add to this: Oil of Cedar.......................1 ounce, Camphor Gum (Stir until this is well dissolved)..............1 dram, Oil of Sassafras...................1 ounce. Take about 2 tablespoonsful to massage into each center; that is, the lumbar centers and the brachial centers, and over the cerebrospinal centers themselves. This will bring RESUSCITATING forces to the plexus coverings themselves, where there has been unstabilization in the plexuses themselves in giving stamina and vitality to the body in its locomotion and activity; STRENGTHENING the system as to muscular reactions, as to the stability to keep in an active reaction for the body.

9. In the matter of diet - we would keep well balanced, as given. This may be a SAMPLE, though it should be changed occasionally.

10. Mornings - Only the citrus fruit diet, CHANGED, of course, at times, to the hard cereals, whole wheat, whole rice, or corn - as the case may be; but DO NOT COMBINE these with the citrus fruits, or have them taken at the same meal! Milk, Ovaltine, or cereal grain extract, may be used as a

135-1 Page 3

drink.

11. Noon - More of the vegetables that are RAW. These may be made into salads with salad dressings, especially with as much of the olive oil as is palatable and that will be assimilated with the character of foods. This would include lettuce, turnips, cabbage, and all of those that may be used as such. Tomatos, if they are RIPENED ON THE VINE; otherwise, those that are canned WITHOUT preservative - or especially benzoate of soda. (Do not use such as use that as preservative.) These may be used, especially the juices of same. Any that are palatable, that are raw.

12. In the evenings - flesh may be taken in moderation, but none that does not have the hoof divided and that does not chew the cud. In these, these should not be rendered in other than their OWN fat, and should NOT be in any grease other than their own - whether boiled, fried, or roasted. This will, of course, include breads also. Rye, whole wheat, or it may be mixed. At this meal light wines or malt extracts may be also taken as drinks.

13. Do this consistently, PERSISTENTLY - IN faith, in earnest - and we will find the better conditions, physically and mentally, coming for the body, [135]. Ready for questions. We are through for the present. Two copies to Dr. Cora C. Hansen Copy to Ass'n Office " " Research Department " " Cayce Hospital
