Time of Reading Unknown.
1. DEK: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep. There is in this room the body of [137], whom you have before you, and wishes to ask you questions about the previous reading; and also other questions regarding other matters about his physical, mental and financial self.
2. EC: [137], yes, we have the body here. We had it before. You see?
3. Now we find there are some changes in the body at the present from that we have had heretofore; some are better, some have begun to show retraction. The body only needs to follow suggestions as given to bring the body to the normal conditions. The medicinal properties produce most of the retraction as yet. Keep the vibrations of the rubbing of the spine more, for this brings the better equalization in the circulation. Beware of the stimulus to the stomach that causes sudden flow of blood to the pneumogastric centers.
4. (Q) What was the trouble with this body last night? (A) Too much of the blood flowed to the pneumogastric plexus.
5. (Q) What is the cure for this condition? (A) Do not put that into the stomach that which causes it. We have just had that.
6. (Q) What particular thing that entered the stomach caused this trouble? (A) Oysters.
7. (Q) Is the weight of this body below normal? (A) Below normal.
8. (Q) What should he do to bring it to normal? (A) Just those things we have given him to do. Do that.
9. (Q) Is there any danger in the use of violet ray treatment? (A) If there had been, we would not have given it to him.
10. (Q) Should he be careful of the instrument breaking while in use? (A) Of course, he should use common sense.
11. (Q) You mentioned morning exercises in the previous reading. Are Walter Camp's suitable? (A) No, they must be [137]'s - not Walter Camp's.
137-2 Page 2
Exercises following those as used by Walter Camp's are good.
12. (Q) Regarding treatments as specified in the last reading, how long should these treatments be continued? (A) This has been given. Follow that.
13. (Q) Are the arches of the feet weak, or not normal? (A) They are weak - normal to the conditions existing in the system, as has been outlined. The vibrations from the violet ray, with the change produced in the blood supplied by medicinal properties and the exercises, will strengthen the muscular forces so as to take care of and bring the normal conditions to the arches through the body and to other portions of the body; remembering that the elements of the spiritual forces from within must have accord to that desire in self to give the best.
14. (Q) Is smoking injurious to the health of this body? (A) Too much is. There must be some. Taking moderately is well; taking to excess is bad.
15. (Q) How many cigarettes should he limit himself to during the day? (A) Eight to ten.
16. (Q) How many is he smoking now? (A) Twenty to twenty-five.
17. (Q) In regard to this body's financial condition: will he go into a new business in the spring, or in the near future time? (A) He may. He will have the opportunity to. Whether he will or not is his own volition. It would be very well. Perhaps better from some standpoints - in every way, from the physical, mental and from the financial. But for the perfect physical, all the financial is not worth much.
18. (Q) If he goes into the new business could he give up his present business? (A) Not wholly.
19. (Q) Describe the new business. (A) That is his business.
20. (Q) Will you tell him what business he should go into? (A) We have given this.
21. (Q) Who will sponsor this new business? Is he the proper man? (A) He knows it now - follow that.
22. (Q) Is this the proper man for him to associate with in business? (A) Very good.
23. (Q) Will you name this man? (A) I will not.
24. (Q) Will he voluntarily start the new business? (A) Yes.
25. (Q) Will he retain his health long enough to go through
137-2 Page 3
with it? (A) We would not have given it as being a success if it was not.
26. (Q) Will there be any other associates in this new business? (A) Not so many at first; many later on.
27. (Q) Will his brother, [900], be associated? (A) We haven't [900]; we have [137].
28. (Q) What is the condition and outlook of his present business? (A) Some phases, excellent. Very good in a general way. To give the conditions from this, we would have many different phases and conditions to consider. As we have from the present conditions without taking those that are to come, very satisfactory. Though some doubts, do not be scared about those.
29. (Q) Which of his present business holdings will prove profitable to him? (A) We have not those here - we have too many. We have none specifically. (Pause)
30. (Q) Are you going over his holdings, Mr. Cayce? (A) That is what we were asked to do, was it not? DEK: Yes. EC: Those that have to do with some propositions that are being refinanced - those will prove the most successful holdings.
31. (Q) Are they oil propositions? (A) We do not see oil in them.
32. (Q) Are they motors? (A) Yes, they have something to do with motor powers - more than motors.
33. (Q) How will his present oil holdings turn out? (A) We have many years to cover to obtain this. Shall we seek these?
34. (Q) Which of his present holdings will prove unprofitable? (A) Shall I seek these?
35. (Q) We would like very much to be advised. (A) With the rise that will come in oil properties in the first two weeks of January, these will prove very profitable. Be sure these are disposed of before April fifteenth.
36. (Q) In regard his connection with the work of Edgar Cayce - he associates himself with the work of Edgar Cayce - (A) We haven't Edgar Cayce - we have [137].
37. (Q) Should [137] associate himself in the development of the psychic forces in the work of people who come to him? (A) That is with his forces. We haven't it connected with
137-2 Page 4
us. He is psychic himself, but must be developed to give it to others. See?
38. (Q) How can he develop this psychic force? (A) We have only two forces in the world, as acknowledged. The first positive. See? That of the physical of material world; and that within self. That relation between the two - [GD's note: Apparently EC stopped here and would not continue - Otherwise DEK would never have given him the suggestion to wake up. Perhaps something was passed over his body which broke the connection.]
39. DEK: Now, Mr. Cayce, you have finished with the reading on [137]. You will have the desire to finish this reading at another time; and as soon as I cease speaking, within one minute, you will wake up feeling perfectly normal, and physically fit, being very happy having rendered a service to man, and with no ill effects to your system in any way. Now in one minute's time, perfectly normal, thoroughly refreshed and relaxed, in good humor, you will wake up.
