1. GC: Now you will have before you the information [137-70] given on dreams of [137] ..., the 8th day of April, 1926, and you will answer the questions regarding this that I will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the information as given here. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) As given, 66 indicates general upward trend followed by slump after shorts covered, then sudden downward movement and recovery. As also given, beginning Monday, April 12, general upward movement will begin, continuing into May. Do these conditions still prevail in general? (A) Still prevail in the general tone of the market. There is, as we see, the variation, as has been outlined, that the rail will advance, with utility and other stocks decreasing, or attempt, and then the sudden change, from industrials advancing - see, utilities and industrials advancing - and rails attack for a down swing, yet the general tone will be for the increase, beginning Monday - Tuesday, see?
4. (Q) Correlate this with stocks specifically given - i.e. 1. Stewart Warner. (A) This the industrial stock that will receive some attacks in the general advance, yet gaining little by little to a much higher level, unless there should be some unseen breaking down from the present conditions.
5. (Q) Hudson Motors. (A) Again an industrial that is receiving a great deal of attention at the present and on account of the many various conditions and reports, and as has been given, one of the spectacular stocks, as will be seen, in its movement, in the various conditions as are to be seen, see? Hence, we will find some advance, some breaking off, but a general advance.
6. (Q) Allied Chemical. (A) Another industrial that will find an advance, with some attacks, especially by Thursday of this present week.
7. (Q) Southern Rail. (A) One of the rails that will gradually advance.
8. (Q) Louisville & Nashville.
137-71 Page 2
(A) One that will receive a great many setbacks, yet gaining, little by little - falling off, but changing much in this advance period at the present, as we see, yet gaining some two to three points in the two to three weeks.
9. (Q) Chesapeake & Ohio. (A) One of those rails that will be attacked, as is Atlantic Coast Line, on account of the conditions as are being beset by the attempt of coalition or of combinations, yet we find a deflation period following the small advance, and then a high advance. Deflating very much though during that period.
10. (Q) Illinois Central. (A) A slow but sure stock. Not a great deal of change, unless the coalitions or combinations, as are given, and as has been shown by the extending through Markham, that is to take place. Should this, with the general rail, advance, this would go many points up.
11. (Q) Atlantic Coast Line. (A) Given.
12. (Q) As given, Atlantic Coast Line R.R. will (A) (Interrupting) Just as given, is to be one of those strongly attacked, when this attempt to bring down or to change over in the bear movement from the industrial stocks to rails.
13. We are through.
