1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of same, and you will answer any questions regarding these conditions, or the treatment for this body, that I will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. Now, we find that through cold, congestion, that the conditions have become more exaggerated in the infection and in the portions as are involved in the condition, and the infection hinders in the eliminations; thus, through this, producing the temperature and the pains as are seen through the body.
4. For the present condition we would use the inhalant as has been given, by putting 2 teaspoonsful in 4 ounces of water, and steam same, see? Make this steam, and let the body inhale same to relax the body thoroughly, see? and apply hot applications to the chest and the throat, see? and take internally those properties as will act thoroughly on the liver, such as would be found in these properties. This as a dose. Two doses at least should be taken. One this evening, or morning. Another to-morrow evening, see? Prodophyllum.................1/2 grain, Leptandrin.....................1 grain, Sanguinary.....................1 grain, Cascara Sagrada..............1/2 grain. Put this in capsule. This should be in the two capsules.
5. Follow same by a laxative saline, see? such as small dose of salts, or of phosphate of soda in which there would be put 5 to 6 drops Syrup of Sarsaparilla compound, see?
6. This for the PRESENT condition. Then, as soon as the temperature has left the body entirely, and a little strength has been gained, we would go about the removing of those conditions as exist in the throat, see?

7. Do that then at present. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) What should be used as the hot applications? To the throat and chest? (A) Equal parts of coal oil and turpentine, with the portions greased with either mutton tallow or some sort of a lubricant that prevents this from blistering, see? This applied to very hot flannels, until the portions are relieved, see?
9. (Q) How often should the inhalant be used? (A) Every two hours until the body is rid of the dizzy feeling and of the tendency to clear throat and burning sensation as is seen therein. The nausea as may be caused by the active forces for the liver, and for elimination through the alimentary canal, must be borne for the time being, see? for this will pass as soon as the body is refreshed. Well that stimulants of Spirits Fermenti, egg or milk, be given rather as the diet than taking too much foods in the system at the time, see?
10. (Q) How often should he take the eggnog? (A) Three to four times each day, or whenever there is the desire for something in the stomach, see? Drink plenty of water at all times. Let this be cool but not ice cold. Taking for the dose (eggnog) 2 to 3 tablespoonsful - would be sufficient at the time, unless the body desires more. Do not overload the system until the body is cleared through the alimentary canal.
11. (Q) Is there anything further for the temperature in the body? (A) The aching over the body may be reduced, that is producing the condition in the whole system, by using alcohol rubs, preferably, of course, grain alcohol, or the alcohol rub may be used along the spine. This, of course, will reduce the temperature. This would be given whenever necessary to reduce the temperature, see? Beginning from base of the brain, rubbing along spine, each side of the spinal column, to the end of the spine. This would be stimulation, also reducing temperature, and as a food for the body, were the GRAIN alcohol used, see? Do as we have given.
12. We are through for the present.
