1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [138]. Now, we find the abnormal conditions are rather those of the acute results of creation of inflammation through strept in the blood supply, from cold and congestion, affecting partially the lungs themselves, the bronchi, also the glands that affect digestion as towards assimilation; this condition arising from the acute attacks of the bacilli in the system.

2. In meeting the needs of the conditions in the present, we would find that there should be tepid baths - especially along the spine; hot foot baths, basting with equal parts of mutton tallow, camphor and turpentine, rubbed well into the soles of the feet after such a hot bath. Following the tepid bath - at least once or twice - or to reduce the temperature - especially this along the spine and across the diaphragm, we would rub with the rub alcohol; giving internally - every three or four hours three to five drops of Syrup of Squill. This is a heart stimuli, or cardiac but will loosen the condition in the respiratory system.

3. Keep the head cool with not too cold, but cool cloths across the head, or top of head - see?

4. Also we would bathe well of evenings - on the chest, the nose, around the throat, between the shoulders - with the mutton tallow, camphor and turpentine, well into the body.

5. These, we find, will relieve the condition.

6. For those conditions in the throat, when there is coughing - from the phlegm accumulations - we would dissolve three to five grain tablets of Calcidin, one in a half glass of water. Keep these where the heat makes it rather warm, or of an insipid character. Give sips of this every hour or two hours, when necessary - see? Do that. Ready for questions.

7. In the matter of the diet, we would use the citrus fruits, gelatin, arrowroot, or those that have the greater amount of stimuli with the least amount of weight to be carried through the system. Give the body ALL THE WATER it

will drink at all times, even when with the temperature, but let this be warm or tepid - NOT cold - but drink quantities of water.

8. (Q) What causes the eyes to have phlegm in them, and to be red? (A) This is from the inflammation. That's why it is given to rub so between the shoulders with these properties, to prevent this circulation from bringing the temperature to the upper circulation, see?

9. (Q) Is the condition serious? (A) Not serious, if taken in time. It may become so, should the temperature be allowed to take hold - especially on the lacteals and on the digestive system, or congestion in the lung, and inflammation in the pleurae.

10. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) Do that at present.
