1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are many abnormal conditions in this body. Some we find are specific conditions affecting the functioning of organs. Others we find are conditions that are functional in their action through the system.

3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [149] present in this room. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this below the normal in red blood supply and in the elements necessary to meet the resistance in the system. Hence the weakened condition that exists over the system at times, and the inability for there to be perfect coagulation in the functioning of the system throughout. In this reduction of the vitality in system, this we find produced by specific conditions in the eliminating organs of the system, especially in those of the kidneys and the liver. Hence the high hepatic circulation, yet the subnormal pulsation at times in the system, with a subnormal blood pressure.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find there are many centers that are involved in conditions, for the body being under strain and nerve tension has produced many minor lesions in the cerebrospinal nerve centers. We find there have been, and are, major conditions in the cerebrospinal centers that have produced lesions that assisted in bringing about the specific conditions existing in functioning organs. Especially do we find this from where the body in times back received the outward effect to the 12th dorsal and the 1st and 2nd lumbar. These impinioned conditions then prevented the functioning of the organs that these centers affect in their normal condition. This brought about then the slow action of the lower hepatic circulation and eliminations through the kidneys proper, and with conditions existing in the genitive functioning organs produced the condition that

149-1 Page 2

exists in kidneys proper. With the same condition reflexly we find the lower branches of the solar plexus centers becoming involved, involving then through nerve supply and through blood supply the whole of the hepatic circulation. This in turn brings the strain on the liver proper, until the lower portion of digestive system becomes clogged with extra secretions in system; this affecting then the whole hepatic circulation sympathetically, involves all of the eliminating system in trunk portion of the body, producing in times back in the high respiratory and capillary functioning. Hence the cold perspiration that has existed at times in this body, with the tendency for these to show especially in night sweats. In the reaction in these we have produced in the body the nerve condition as exists through the sacral, the ilium plexus, the lumbar plexus and the lower dorsal plexus. This then brings about the conditions as we have existing in the body.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain force very good.

7. Sensory organism strained at times, sympathetically.

8. Lungs good.

9. Heart's action subnormal at present. We have had different conditions through this, though no organic trouble.

10. The lower portion of the stomach and the digestive tract, in the action of the hypogastric system, the pneumogastric becomes involved. Hence the condition as exists in the digestive tract proper. The non-eliminating of foods and of properties taken in system affecting the blood supply and weakening the condition in the system, through the duodenum and the pancreas, though these are affected only reflexly; the kidneys being the seat of the trouble under present conditions.

11. The liver at the present time subnormal and engorged in size to meet the needs of elimination in the system, though inactive in the secretive functionings at the present and overactive in excretory functioning.

12. The lower portion of digestion, as given; that is the small intestinal tract, in the ascending colon and about the organs that affect the digestion, or the assimilation in digestion in intestinal tract, gives some distress at times to the body.

13. In the kidneys proper we find the sediments in the system show how they have become centralized and give distress to the functioning of the organ in its excretory functioning, giving the high state of excitement through nerve tension to the emunctories in kidneys, as is shown by

149-1 Page 3

the extra amount of sediment that has become so lithified there. The inflammation produced in the bladder coming from this condition.

14. The organs of the pelvis all being under the strain produced there.

15. RELIEF, to relieve these conditions and bring the normal forces to this body would be to do this: First, we would correct osteopathically the condition in the lumbar and sacral region, and the lower dorsal region, giving the extra eliminations through the functioning of the lower portion of body, so that the dissolving of sediment, and of the functioning of kidneys, would be stimulated in their excretory function as to eliminate those conditions there. Also in the eliminations in kidneys and in liver would be stimulated to their normal functioning, taking in the system at the time that these corrections and these stimulations are being given, those properties that will assist the system to dissolve this sediment, taking in these properties. This would be the dose. To one dose this would be added: Eucalyptol...................1 minim, Rectified Oil of Turp......1/2 minim, Oil of Juniper...............1 minim.

16. This would be taken in capsules and one dose taken each day. When the pain and the stress on bladder is exercised in system apply a saturated solution of Bicarbonate of Soda, with cloths dipped in warm water, or hot as can be stood by the body, over this portion - of brine salt, to which is added 2 minims of turpentine, Spirits of Turpentine. These will produce the ease to this portion of the body. This may also be applied to the lower portion of the lumbar region, or across kidneys. This we will find will bring normal conditions to the body.

17. As to the diet that should be taken in system, first we would prepare the stomach proper for food values. Take into the system a mild tea, as is prepared from Yellow Saffron. This will be healing and relaxing in a sedative manner to the intestinal tract all the way through. Eat whole wheat and cereals, with the properties well cooked, all properties well cooked, that digestion may take place in the intestinal tract in its proper manner.

18. Do that and we will bring this body to the normal conditions.

19. The osteopathic adjustments and manipulation should be taken every day; not severely at first but sufficient to stimulate the functioning of liver and kidneys in their

149-1 Page 4

equal balance, for the correction in hepatic and in hypogastric circulation must be balanced so that the elimination through absorption will be carried on properly.

20. No stimulations in coffee or teas, that is, save the tea as is given from the Saffron. Elm may be used in the water for the satisfying of thirst, for the burning sensations are produced from nerve condition rather than from the excited condition in digestive forces.

21. Do that. We will bring the normal conditions to this body.
