1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [165], who is at ... Ill., and who seeks counsel and advice as to his mental and material affairs. You will answer the questions which he has submitted concerning these, as I ask them:

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [165] - this we have had before; also those associations mentally and materially that present themselves now in a new or changed circumstance and condition.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) Should my business future lie with [165] & [...] [GD's note: Not [5616] as in other rdgs. but a new partner] Co. or with the Truscon Laboratories, or with some other institution? (A) As we find, there are opportunities and possibilities in the association with the Truscon Laboratories that outweigh many of the other conditions that confront the body. To be sure, with such an association there must be those provisions made for the handling of the [165] Company, in a manner that does not leave too many questions marks as to the conditions. With the Truscon Laboratories, however, as we find, the greater part of the provisions may be made; especially where there are those agreements for such and such quantities of those provisions for the manufacture of products, as well as for the distribution of certain types of products that have been distributed through the [165] associations. Also, the associations would allow the working out of those obligations that are had in many different directions. However, the conditions that would make for the association with Truscon should in no way or manner invalidate any of the associations that have built for [165] associations those good reputations in directions that have existed and do exist.

5. (Q) What definite direction should my activities take to make the most out of my coming business years? (A) As seen, the variation of the associations through

those directions, should these be accepted, will open for the body many opportunities that have been the basis of the body's activities in the years past. Then, these would give the opportunity for the carrying out of many of the ideas and ideals of the body in the directions that have been held by self.

6. (Q) What form of approach should I make in my next interview with Truscon in order to put myself on the best basis with them? (A) As should be demanded of Truscon associates and as self should do, STATE; and put the whole situation before them as its exists, with also the abilities of the body in the varied associations and connections that may be made most helpful for self and for Truscon. These should be the basis, these should be the conditions to be considered; for the basis of the service rendered in the greater part of the organization of Truscon is in line with that which has been held by the body. While the operations of Truscon heretofore in this particular field have not offered nor given the full service, owing to conditions that were of a nature that the policies did not allow the activities to go in the manner as intended by that one who directed such, making the inability to meet those various needs in the fields of activity in this particular line, with the activity of the body in association and connection with same, with those policies of self that are ideal with those of Truscon as a whole, these may be made - and can be made, under the directing hands of the body in association in this connection - a most successful undertaking.

7. (Q) What automobile manufacturers will I be able to sell finishing materials to? (A) Those that are in association with some of the interests of the organization. Also some of those in the immediate field of activity. While, to be sure, this covers rather an extensive field, these may be begun first in the associations of the General Motor lines; also the Paige or Graham; also the Ford interests. These will be approached or reached best by that policy which has long been the manner in which the body itself has worked with finishers in various fields of activity; for in these, and with this association, there is given the opportunity, owing to connections and financial conditions, to carry to a successful conclusion many of the ideals that the conditions financially and connections in other directions have prevented from being carried to the termination necessary for the body to produce that desired in these various fields - see?

8. (Q) On what type of material should my technical efforts be spent? (A) If the associations are to be in this direction, with Truscon, then necessarily the technical efforts must be in the direction wherein the products are of the nature as supplied by these very activities themselves - see? Then, these come more to those of the metals, or would-be metal reactions or elements.

9. (Q) In what place should I be living for the next few years? (A) This, to be sure, would depend upon the associations and the requirements for the activities; in close proximity to the base of activities - either Cleveland or Detroit.

10. (Q) What business connection should I have with Dr. Plum of Detroit? (A) This, to be sure, will depend upon the character of activity in which the body engages self in association in the fields of endeavor that are the basis of activity of the doctor.

11. (Q) With John Carlson of Chicago? (A) The same things; though this connection would depend upon the basis of the activities of the change - whether made or not made.

12. (Q) With [257] of New York? (A) This would depend, to be sure, upon the associations and directions in which the activities take their action.

13. (Q) With Harry Jacobs of Detroit? (A) Much in the same manner.

14. (Q) With Kenneth Starbird of Detroit? (A) This is another of the associations that is dependent upon the connections that are made.

15. (Q) Any further advice or counsel that would be of help at this time? (A) As we find, the possibilities have been outlined for the body. This information does not work the efforts nor cramp them, but shows the possibilities, the plausibility of the association and the connections that may be made. We would do that.
