Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ga. (Body and enquiring mind. You will give such advice and aid as will enable him to develop best, physical and spiritual assets for himself and his family. Then you will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [165], and those conditions mentally and materially, and those opportunities and experiences of the body.
2. In giving that as might be helpful to this body in the present experience, the present environments, as we find, the entity should look upon those experiences - through which the entity has passed in many of the mental and the material aspects - rather as a growth of opportunity. And while these would not be in the future as builded upon the ashes of failures, those experiences in the past should be rather as stepping-stones for the future associations in this material plane.
3. As is known by the entity, as is the portion of the entity's own inner self, as one sows so shall one reap. It is not sufficient, however, for any to live by mere trite sayings or to announce to be tolerant or to be patient or to be any of those attributes of the spiritual forces that may manifest themselves through the activities of an entity. Rather must there be little by little, here a line, there a line, the LIVING, the MANIFESTING, of all of these attributes in the experiences of an individual. For as it is meted to those of the fellow man, so will the returns come in the experience of the entity in its associations in the new activities or in those that are a portion of the entity's experience in the present.
4. For it is not by might nor by power, not by that which may be used to enable one through fame or fortune - or through even the associations of the past - to become as a power, but that which is LIVED, expressed, given to others as a helpful, hopeful influence in their experience day by

day. Thus applying self in the experiences in the present may we find that coming into the experience of the entity which, in body, in mind, may give the greater expression of development for self, for those that are in the material world dependent upon the activities of the entity. So may the entity make for itself that advancement.
5. For as has been given oft, "As ye do it unto these, the least of these my children, ye do it unto me." He, the Father-God, is not mocked; whatsoever is sown in righteous spirit, whatsoever is thought and done becomes a portion of the experience for the development of any individual, any soul. It is not those that cry, "Lord, Lord," only; but those in their dealings with their fellow man. As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.
6. In this age, in this period when there are the doubts, the fears, those seekings for expression in all the many and varied ways, it will be found to keep the balance; that it has ever kept the balance in the activity of an individual, and it may keep the balance in this entity's activities in the present for making the greater advancement, for making of a sureness of self in its daily efforts. While the activities that come about in a general association may be very much in line with those influences that have been given in all the beauties of a life, an experience of service to the fellow man, in the INDIVIDUAL it must become as an individual and as a personal or definite service done day by day. For we grow in grace, in knowledge, in understanding FROM WITHIN. And even though there are the words of the mouth, even the activities of the body, if they are done, if they are MEDITATED upon to be seen, to be feeling, to be making only an outward show, these must eventually come to naught. For the KINGDOM is within. Contentment, peace, harmony, glory, love, beauty, is from WITHIN; and is as a growth that makes for that activity, that expression, that which will bring the growth, the understanding, the environments, the necessary influences. For with all the labors, the efforts, with all the application of beauty, of strength, of power, of might, ONLY God may give the increase.
7. Then, let thy purpose be, let thy prayer, thy meditation, be more and more, "I am Thine, O Lord; use Thou me more and more as a channel of blessing to my fellow man; in THY way, O Lord, NOT my way!"
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) Should my family live in (..., Ga.) or elsewhere? (A) As we find from the associations in the present, when there has been - as it were - somewhat of a more stable
165-21 Page 3
understanding and application of self in its environs and in its activities in its associations, this would be the more preferable. For as ever, and as has ever been in this body's associations, the family has been rather as a helpmeet, rather as a complement, rather as an aide, an understanding, a prop in the hour of distress, a haven in those periods when there has come the sullen miscomprehending of those things that have been at variance at times to the ideas (not so much ideals, but ideas) of the entity. Hence, as we would find, by the latter portion of the present year this should be MOST advisable.
10. (Q) Will Joe Smith be helpful? (A) As self gives out towards the aiding, towards the understandings, for the ideas and ideals of Smith, so may they become as a complement one to another. That the ways, the manners of the two are not always compatible does not mean that there should not be cooperative measures in their associations or activities. Not that one would work towards on end and another towards another end, disregarding the ideal or the purposes; but let each rather - in an UNDERSTANDING manner - know what IS THE motivative influence that PROMPTS the activities of each in their associations and their respective spheres of activity. And there may come those helpful influences that will ever be that of a cooperative influence.
11. (Q) Will Rex Tooker be of help? (A) This might be said in the same way or same manner, there might come with the better comprehension, the better understanding, the abilities for one to become more reliant upon the other in their associations day by day. Helpful.
12. (Q) What portion of my effort in business should be industrial? (A) That which has been set as the ideal or the plan to be worked out by self in its associations for activities in those directions, where the greater commercial valuations may be made for the broader associations and connections, in the use of the products of those with whom the entity is associated; and in making for those things that may work out to meet the needs of the various channels through which such products may be used, see? Those, as we find, that will be as for the finishings in the greater of the interior works for things that float would be well. Ships. Boats. Signs. Floats, and the like.
13. (Q) Please suggest best lead for increasing business. (A) This has just been suggested. Those that have to deal with the navy, of the construction in such activities, would be the greater lead - as WE find - in the present associations, and in the abilities for the developments in
165-21 Page 4
those lines in which the interests of the entity are being directed.
14. (Q) Should I get into (..., Ga.) musical life? (A) By all means!
15. (Q) What field is there for me in vocational guidance? (A) Be well in those institutions of learning in and about this place, for the body to cultivate not only those who are the fosterers but who are in associations with those that make for such; and become a member of and one advisory to such associations or such committees. And as those advance, there may be these in the GREATER field of activity even in those where the governmental services of activity are chosen from these, too.
16. (Q) What person will be my best advisor? (A) Rather, as we would find, not as a personage; but rather as first, as has been indicated to the entity and for this body, know self's ideal and that which prompts same, that which is the motivative influence within self. For as has been given oft, the promises have been that the divine, the Father, would meet His in the temple; thy body is the temple of thy soul, of thy living God, where He has promised to meet thee within thee! If thou art on the Lord's side, if thou hast met and do meet with Him oft there, what better guide, what better promptings may there be? For soon in thine counsel, in thine associations, it will come to those that are thy friends, thy associates - yea, thine enemies - that THOU hast counsel, THOU hast advice as from the Infinite. Be satisfied with nothing less! For His promises are TRUE. Not as men count shortness, nor as men count glory, but it hath not entered the hearts or the minds of man as to the glories, as to the purposes, as to the service any soul, any individual may be in a period when there are leaders being sought, there are the expressions from the Infinite, there are the desires of so many souls for that counsel that may come from within. Be THOU, then, the counsel to many, rather than being counseled by any - than from the Lord thy God. Let that mind be in thee that was in Him that gave, "If ye come to me, believing; if ye keep my commandments (that of the last commandment as given), ye will Love one another." Let that consciousness then of thy Savior, thy Lord, thy God, abide with thee.
