1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
2. Now, we find, we have abnormal conditions in this body that may be corrected. To give the existing conditions, and how these may be met at the present time, we will of necessity have to give the pathological conditions that have existed which have brought about the present condition, for we find these specific conditions existing from causes that have been hidden, as it were, and these in their exercising in the body have brought about this lack of ability to function through their normal channels. Many of the locomotaries and the portions in system that produce the movements necessary for the functioning of the system, for we have in times back conditions that have existed which produced lesions in the trunk portion of body and brought about the leakage, as it were, in the system of the poisons that should be eliminated. This began in times back, first from an injury and then from the nerve condition produced in the body that brought nerve indigestion. This then in its reflexes which showed in the digestive system the taxing of the cerebrospinal centers, the body then had trouble with the eyes hurting, burning, trouble with the head at times. These were the forerunners of the condition at present existing.
3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [181], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this very good at the present time, though there are conditions existing in the system that through the lack of elimination there shows in the blood flow this condition existing, though not of a blood condition; yet being attempted to be eliminated through portions of the system shows itself in the blood stream, for we find the leukocyte and the plasmatic cell in blood stream above the normal, while the red blood cell force is near normal, when age and condition is considered.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find many centers that are dormant in their action over the body; especially is this
181-1 Page 2
from the second lumbar down. This shows at this center how the first lesion there formed produced a condition in the region of the lacteals, this causing then troubles in the lower digestion, which brought to the capillary circulation, and in centers and in tissue in portions of the body, the distress signs of poor elimination. Then, with the continuation of this pressure as produced from this center, we have the reflexes to the various organs and tissue in locomotion that have become involved, as we have in that of the secondary cardiac plexus, which gives the distresses to the upper portion of the body. Through the channels of the respiratory system this shown rather as spasmodic condition. Sometimes more severe than at others. Again we have the condition that gives the extra secretions to the kidneys in their attempting to make the equalization in the circulation through the hepatics.
6. The liver very good for conditions as exist. Spleen engorged. These produced from a nerve condition.
7. In the centers then from the nerve system we are still speaking of, that these produce the reaction through the reflex forces, the locomotaries in the lower portion being affected direct from the center. Those in upper portion being affected reflexly.
8. In the functioning then of the sympathetic system, we have this being in the tautness of the connection as is made in the sympathetic region of the second lumbar plexus, the ilium plexus and the sacral plexus, both become involved sympathetically, though producing physically direct connection between, yet it produces then in the lower portion of the limbs this lack of circulation that comes in the lower limbs, producing the condition as exists through this portion of the body at times.
9. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good. The coordination that should exist between the brain forces and all of the functioning of the system has been under the strain. Hence we find that certain centers become an involuntary motion and others, that should be involuntary, are voluntary action.
10. In the throat and lungs, larynx, those conditions as exist from the reflex forces, though not organic condition.
11. Heart's action subnormal at present time, though no organic conditions of this.
12. Digestive tract spasmodic condition exists here. At times digestion very good, at other times nothing seems to agree with the body, you see, a reaction, reflection, from the hypogastric and pneumogastric centers involved in sympathetic and reflex condition, and the direct cause is
181-1 Page 3
produced from second lumbar.
13. In the rest of the system, as functioning organs, we find these under the various strains, as given, from the conditions of centers that direct their functioning.
14. RELIEF, then, to give the relief to this body would be first to give that in the system that will create the incentive for the correct eliminations, equalizing the elimination between those four centers especially, that must under this strain as created be all above the normal functioning, taking into the system those properties:
15. To 8 ounces of Ambrosia Weed, or Ragweed; that is, cleansed, add 16 ounces of rain water. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) after the green leaves have been cleansed and bruised. Reduce to 10 ounces. Strain while warm and add 2 ounces of Beet Sugar dissolved in 2 ounces of very warm water, 3 minims of Oil of Peppermint and 4 ounces of grain alcohol. Shake solution well together before each dose is taken, which would be teaspoonful every four hours, save when body is resting.
16. Apply those properties of mud, in the stream not far from the present residence, [468 Salem St., Glendale, Calif.], to the portion of the spine from the coccyx to the 12th dorsal. After this is removed each morning, deep manipulations [osteopathically] that would adjust and correct the conditions in this region, as given. This will remove these lesions and make the correct eliminations and the nerve centers supplying the portions of the body necessary.
17. Do that.
18. Apply the manipulation until the body is relieved from the condition and strain in body each day, and each day apply this mud. Not too wet, not too dry, covering with cloth.
19. We will bring normal conditions again for this body, [181]. We are through.
