1. GC: Now, you have before you a tract of land, located in the Northwest quarter of Section 17 and Southwest quarter of Section 8, Madison Township, two miles west of Trotwood, Montgomery County, Ohio. You will locate best place to drill shallow well, give depth, thickness of sand and production. Give water strata, if any. Is whole district underlain with oil? Give better location in this district for shallow oil, if any. Is pay oil in deeper sands? Give directions from the old well.

2. EC: Now, we find in the South portion of the quarter section 8 where we have had, and where the well was located here, we have some oil, could be and would be found in drilling here, in shallow depth. This, however, would be very small production. The greater production would be found 90 yards to the South and West from this location. This we find would produce 5 to 25 barrels of oil at the depth of 792. This we find near the center of a pool of oil, which covers a territory running Northeast Southwest, location being near the center and is 9 furlongs wide by 40 furlongs long. This is, extending in the general directions. This we find in this pool some 12 to 20 wells could be made to pay very well, for we have only one strata of water that would be troublesome in the drilling, the greater trouble being encountered where oil strikes with water. In this most places we would find by using lower packer. The oil could be pumped in. Settling tanks may be used to obtain production properly, only a small hole 8" necessary, using the casing here as in this, that may be free from obstructions in cave and in the surface water strata. These wells, we see, could be drilled from $850 to $1150. They may be produced in the manner that would give pay, well pay, for we find in the structure do not have much to do with the oil production, as we have more water in sands and only the top is in the sand; which extends in various depths in the change; that is, in the change of the surface formation, where domes show, you see, from the location as given. From 3 to 8 feet the better place being,
