Time of Reading 12:00 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [195], present in this room. You will answer the questions I may ask you relative to the present business associations and investments of this entity and advise as to the better procedure of this entity in new ventures, also in his securing financial assistance at this time for the hospital of the Association of National Investigators. [Work:EC:Cayce Hospital]

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [195]. This we have had here before.

3. In the physical forces of the body, these we find show much improvement in many ways. Still some conditions that could and would be brought nearer to the normal functioning were those lesions entirely relieved along the Eustachian Tubes, and this would give a better reaction to the physical and the mental forces of the body.

4. As respecting the associations as regarding business and business associations:

5. Many conditions present themselves, and may be sought better through relationship or the attitude of self as respecting the various aspects of conditions as present themselves, through that desired to be known - though all present themselves here.

6. As to the abilities of the body and the mental forces respecting securing contributions towards Association of National Investigators, much may be secured through the entity's and body's efforts and mental forces of this body, by the application of self and of the association of self with those who are and may be interested in such works or in the propagation of such phenomena or the study of such phenomena, remembering all of these phases present and represent a different attitude in individuals and groups as to their approach or desire of association with such. [Work:EC:Cayce Hospital.] Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What business association is now best for this entity? Will some new manufacturing proposition in Dayton, Ohio, be presented to the entity? or will entity form new associations in other location - if so, where, and when? (A) Not NECESSARY for changes, yet the entity may desire to change, and this would not bring any condition that would be adverse to the success of the entity. While there are many conditions surrounding the entity, and many that present various phases of study and approach, we find through that which has something to do with cloth and rubber appears that which would call or draw the attention of the body at the present the most in this vicinity - that is, as toward new conditions.

8. (Q) Will present management of Keepsit Bottle Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, be able to increase production and make a success of same? Is Mr. Terry dissatisfied, or trying to secure control? What is recommended for better feeling and better manufacturing conditions? (A) These conditions as respecting the Keepsit Bottle Company have been presented and treated and portions of conditions given from here, especially as regarding the management and the manner to handle same. These - as has been given, and the conditions as present themselves as reality at the present - are near one and the same. The success, as is seen, of this company and the products of the company depends upon the ability of quantity production. The condition as invested in the present management has an interest of its own that the management is zealous of. This condition the body [195] has been warned concerning since the association of self with same. Do not allow the management to gain the full control of the product or production, though some of the patents as respecting same are involved in same or through same - these, however, may be turned in such a way and manner - do not use too drastic measures, but continue to use pressure until the management is at least turned into a better channel with somewhat different policies, for quantity is the keynote, as has been given, and - as has been realized by those associated with same - a very necessary factor, but do not allow quantity to interfere with quality of production.

9. (Q) Would it be better to change management? (A) Change the attitude or change the management. Change the policies or change management. Better perhaps that an assistant management be associated with same, with the authority and the ability to gradually change the conditions surrounding the production.

10. (Q) Much Common stock of The Mead Pulp & Paper Company

195-48 Page 3

with plants in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Dayton and Chillicothe, Ohio, is held by the entity. With increased production and improvements, the earnings are growing. Will dividends be increased in 1928 and 1929 and value of stock enhance to a great extent? (A) These will be factors in and regarding this condition. In the Kingsport plant, especially, there has been contemplated, is being contemplated, much change in the character of the product to be made. Do not give voice to the expenditure of too much capital toward this change, for the change in itself is not well. Better that that being produced, especially in this plant, be kept in the same policy without the necessary expenditure for the change. This, as is given, would have much to do as to the ability of the company and the associates to pay larger dividends through '28, '29. As is seen, the products of these plants are more and more in demand. The ability of the plants from their natural physical location for the product itself to be distributed at a nominal sum has much to do with the ability of such company to increase the abilities to serve. Then we would say, without undue expenditure towards expansion - into fields that are yet (for the plant itself) unexplored - would give the much more dividend to the stockholders and those owning stock in these operative concerns.

11. (Q) Will it be to advantage of entity to invest in holding company which will control banks and trust companies now being organized by [900] and associates in New York? Will stock pay dividends after first year? (A) The conditions as surround this association, this holdings company, peculiarly adapts, fits or presents the condition wherein extraordinary dividends may be paid through the operation of this corporation - for many factors that govern same are in motion to mete out unusual abilities for those associated with same to make same above an ordinary success. Hence we find the association with same, or the owning of stock in same VERY desirable by anyone for much may be said concerning this group and the policies as are contemplated and as are being set for the operation of such corporation or association. This kept in the way as has been set for same will bring much good results. Not that it is not possible for those lean days, or those conditions to be presented that would not bring disaster and troubles, yet there has been set before some of these associated with same that of the good end that of the evil way of conducting such association, such corporation. Choose well, and those associated with these will ever call these so conducting same blessed.

12. (Q) Would it be well to liquidate some present holdings to get into this? (A) Dependent upon that liquidated. Do not liquidate that that is paying well, or that is in the way of equally as good investment from the financial - yet this, as given, presents a peculiar condition in that the association, while considered purely physical, financial and material - this corporation, this institution, will be found to have a soul! Connected, associated with such, well for any. [12/11/27 P.M. See 900-357, at which Mr. [195] was present, in re such banking institution.]

13. (Q) Will entity's brother, [[195]'s bro.] [184] of Los Angeles, California, be successful in selling land at Wilton, Arizona, this spring? At what price per acre, or will it be more advantageous for entity to go to coast and endeavor to dispose of this holding at this time? (A) This, as we see, again presents much of a situation as has been seen and dealt with. This - if it were (the holding) in the way of being able to be handled by the entity, the body [195], this would bring - well, more than he could ever spend! yet the situation at the present time is such that with the desires of the entity this does not seem feasible, plausible, or even practical - yet these offer great opportunities to gain the most SATISFACTORY disposal of same. While the endeavors of the brother would be sincere, yet handle it YOURSELF if the most would be accrued from same - right now!

14. (Q) How best and in what amount may entity secure at this time financial assistance from [2734] of ... Fifth Ave., New York City, for hospital, or rather Association of National Investigators, Virginia Beach, VA? [Work:EC:Cayce Hospital] (A) Here we have again a situation presenting itself that follows much along the line of that the entity, the body [195], has followed in the study of the phenomena itself - that is, while [2734] will gain much and will give much towards this investigation, or this hospital, first the body [2734] will attempt to gain in a few minutes all the knowledge [195] has gained in four to five years, see? In the presenting, then, of this, when the financial enters there will be - "Well, what have YOU given to it? What WOULD you give to it?" see? "How much do you think I should give to it?" see? These will be as direct questions. Make it high enough!

15. (Q) How best and in what amount may entity in connection with Mr. [257] secure financial donation for hospital at Virginia Beach from Victor Emanuel, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, but of recent years of New York City?

195-48 Page 5

[Work:EC:Cayce Hospital] (A) These will be first brought about by the MUTUAL association of individuals socially and of mental development, and the amounts should run into $2500 to $3000.

16. (Q) How high should we make it from [2734]? (A) That as the sum total of [195]'s investment in the five years, meaning then something near $15,000 to $20,000, to $25,000 - for, as we see, the entity is interested not only from that of the curiosity aspect and from the belief in phases of phenomena that may be interesting and educational, but there enters still another phase - that of the desire to in SOME manner satisfy self's own conscience as to making amends for many conditions that are not satisfactory in own life, see? These then, with that as the ability to serve mankind through this philanthropic way and manner, will present to the mind of [2734] a way, a means, to gain mentally, physically, consciously, and a way to satisfy self. Hence make it large enough!

17. (Q) Regarding institutional association, will Dr. House receive permission from State of Virginia and local board to practice in Virginia? [Work:EC:Cayce Hospital] (A) The word has been set that there can be no objections raised, and these will go forward in their regular channel through the secretary. Though the conditions present to the Board some unique situations, these - unless other things enter in - are already set.

18. (Q) Anything further regarding the banking association? [See 900-357, Par. B1.] (A) From the soul to the money, how can there be more?

19. We are through.
