1. GC: [GD's note - Suggestion as follows]: (Body and enquiring mind - and the sketch of motor assembly held in my hand. The changes in the chemical gravitation motor are as follows:
In the Drum - Gears and Pinions have been substituted for roller bearings and races at each end of drum.
Tank is to be made of a casting - in two halves lower half shows in Diagram with insert cast in semicircle, such that a square fixture carrying the pinion and bearing may be inserted. This casting gives perfect rigidity between shaft center at B and Pinion Shaft center at O.
In Diagram - C. D. is center line of containing tank. A is center of Drum in running position on line C. D. B the center of drum shaft is set on a line of center tank - C. D. - while point O center of inner pinion shaft is set 30 seconds above line C. D. figuring the 30 seconds as angle O A D.
To make angles 15' and 15' 30" respectively - the whole tank is set in a cradle and end of tank at D is elevated. This keeps angle at O always 30 seconds larger than angle at B. Tank is designed 21 inches in Diameter by 21-3/4 in length. A rachet on shaft of inner pinion at O has been designed such that pinion can only turn in desired direction - So at the start giving proper resistance to the expanding vibrations. You will answer questions that I will ask you.)
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [195]. This we have had before. Also the drawing, or outline, that shows the change in the position of motor and the manner in which rigidity is to be exercised with same, and how the angles in the manner given should be that off center in the rotation from drum and axis of that impelling power through the section as marked in O.
3. Now, we would make the casting in that manner that will

carry forward the idea in toto as is shown here; not varying one iota from that as is seen in the outline. Do that. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Are the changes as outlined above such that will cause proper resistance in starting and running? (A) Such as will cause proper resistance in starting and running, in the expansion - for the angles are set aright.
5. (Q) The square fixture holding inner pinion whose center is at O is stationary. Would it be necessary to design same so that it could be adjusted nearer to B to help mesh gears? (A) Not necessary.
6. (Q) Are there any further suggestions as to changes or corrections to the changes as contemplated? (A) Make as is designed here, for the proper activity. Do that. We are through for the present.
