Time of Reading 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [195] ..., Ohio, and drawing showing proposed series of ducts to be made in drawing wheel of motor, which I hold in my hand. You will answer the questions which I will ask you as to this and to motor.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [195]. Also the drawing and contemplated changes as respecting the motor. As has been seen and given, the body sees or understands more thoroughly these necessary alterations to meet the needs, yet these will possibly be better understood by answering that as we see written here. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Are ducts too elongated? (A) No. There is just a little bluntness to the ends where the changes or the breaking up take place, or not bluntness - but needed more rounded in the upper curve, see? below B. The smaller curve, not the larger one the smaller one. Mark that - right here - see? That's it! Check it - X!

4. (Q) Hump at B in duct is to retain mercury until proper position is reached. Is this hump too pronounced or not pronounced enough? (A) That's just what we have been saying, see? and, as has been marked here to show. This smaller OPENING, see? and the hump not so blunt, but more rounding - at B.

5. (Q) What liquid will balance best with mercury in ducts as the relieving factor? (A) Oil - Castor Oil.

6. (Q) Castor oil better than kerosene? (A) Better for the gravity in same and the resistive forces are better balanced.

7. (Q) Adding mercury and other fluid to ducts all air is eliminated, would proportion by volume 40 mercury to 60 other fluid be approximately correct for best results? (A) Approximately correct. Just a fraction difference. These will come better by illustration, or by DEMONSTRATION

- see?

8. (Q) What a more perfect ratio? (A) This will come by the testing, rather than trying to RATIO the differentiation, see?

9. (Q) Should teeth on rachet be from 4 to 8, and made to synchronize with each duct when in motion? (A) This would make a more active machine, a more GENERATIVE in force, but in the present 4 it would operate - but made to synchronize with the ducts and made 8 would give more power, or when once started would GENERATE more resistance, see? or power.

10. (Q) Will motor function with above changes and proper adjustment of angles? (A) With the DRAWING, as is seen on board, where the angles are changed somewhat. These ADDED WITH that, so we have that internal activity, see? then these, we find, would operate, and the body should have same completed before the first of the year. By the 18th.

11. (Q) Are there any more suggestions? (A) These should be sufficient and proper to carry this to completion.

12. (Q) On drawing board at 139 W. 2nd - (A) This has just been given. Changing these to these angles will make the better synchronization, see?

13. (Q) Lower end of ducts being more blunt, will this give better increase to vibration? (A) In the motor this is broken up. See, that's why this duct is elongated and the bluntness more rounded. Not in the whole, but where the mark made here, see?

14. (Q) Where the check mark under B? (A) Where the check mark under B. The inside line, you see. Inside. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Datastician " " Mr. [900]
