Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Florida. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to how he should proceed to extricate himself from the predicament described in the letters which I hold in my hand. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [228]. This we have had before; also we have those conditions, those circumstances that confront the body-mind in the present.

2. First, as general advice or counsel:

3. Do not allow self to become panicky, or DEMANDING of self to make a definite association or connection until ALL conditions have been thoroughly analyzed within self.

4. That there are disappointments in the situations which have arisen does not discount self's abilities, or the associations or connections that have been made - even through those conditions that have become, through the activities of the Board, untenable in the present.

5. There has been, as intimated by the letter, rather an exceptional manner of recalling what should have stood the body in stead - if the programs of the organization represented by the body were carried out as is intimated in the manner in which settlements or closing of contracts already in existence are to be liquidated by the organization.

6. And it is on this basis that they (the organization) have reached their conclusions in the manner indicated as to the outstanding obligations upon which the said [228] is to receive returns from, as such contracts are liquidated.

7. This, however, does not change the situations; only that the body should not allow itself to become involved in carrying out the liquidating of same to the detriment of self becoming associated in those directions where PERMANENT connections or associations may be made.

8. Hence, as we find, using the present connections -

228-8 Page 2

through the very activities - there may be made an association or connection in Miami for IMMEDIATE needs.

9. But if this does not satisfy - or unless it answers within self as to being a satisfactory arrangement - then we would soon (if this does not answer) return to the more agreeable surroundings and connections in West Palm Beach.

10. For there, through the associations made, there may be had connections that would answer for immediate needs - though they may require the activities of the body in associations with more than one organization.

11. And then, THROUGH those connections, make applications to the Federal activities in the Home Loan organizations; as Inspector or Collector, or for activities in those directions.

12. These, as we find, will lead to PERMANENT associations.

13. Or there may be, through those activities of the Baltimore Guaranty Trust organization, a status of conditions or positions created by which or through which the body may become associated in THESE directions - as inspector of properties, loans or the like, that would be most satisfactory.

14. Either or both of these propositions may present or represent the necessity of time, for the associations and connections to be established; one through the POLITICAL associations or affiliations, the other through the activities as to the ABILITIES of the body in its connections with finance organizations of different characters.

15. Hence the necessity for the establishing either in the Miami district or in the home (West Palm Beach) district, for the MEANS to hold self in abeyance for activities that may arise through the establishing of connections in either of these directions indicated.

16. These, as we find, are the analyses of the situations. And these may be worked out by the body, by applying self in these directions.

17. Ready for questions.

18. (Q) What course should I take concerning the Home Office of the Credit Protective and Finance Corporation? (A) As indicated, there will be the desire on the part of such that the body liquidate all those OUTSTANDING contracts that are a part of the assets and liabilities of the Protective Credit Finance Corporation. But this connection, or the body handling same, should not allow a detriment to self; or should not be allowed to so jeopardize self in these directions as to be detrimental to the best interests of the body. This will depend, then, upon WHAT the

228-8 Page 3

propositions are in this direction.

19. (Q) Is the amount listed by them as my claim the amount that should be claimed, and why? (A) As indicated, the basis of same is upon outstanding obligations. That these have been curtailed, then, will make for an easier settling of same; though curtailing, as would be indicated, the amount due [228] in the end.

20. (Q) Comment on their letter of the 10th. (A) This has been done; as to the obligations, their settling of same, and how.

21. (Q) Would you advise that I remain in Miami and seek employment or should I go to West Palm Beach or elsewhere? (A) As indicated, there may be connections or associations made in Miami. But, as we find, deep within there is the innate DESIRE to return. Then, unless very shortly satisfactory associations may be made, we would return to the environs and associations of West Palm Beach. For there in many ways the activities of the entity merit and call for better consideration, or more DUE consideration than indicated by those about Miami. And then through those periods, or through those channels, make for the connections as indicated.
