1. EC: Now, we find there are a great many changes in the body since last we had it here. There are many abnormal conditions and many of these may be corrected. The conditions as are shown in the body in the physical forces are but the manifestations of hidden conditions in physical and in the mental reactions in the body.
2. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body.
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find full and above normal, yet producing the abnormal pressure in abnormal manner. This produced by conditions in the nerve system and the lack of coordination in same, as we shall see.
4. The elements and constituents of the blood flow, blood stream, we find show that the blood often carries more of the bacillus than should be in blood stream, for eliminations are often very poor. These are subject to change, however, very quickly in the system.
5. IN THE NERVE SUPPLY, in this we find the greater troubles in the body, for the systems of the nerves are so distraught as to cause much of the trouble, and with the functioning organs in the state as many are, this adds to the conditions in nerve system. There being then in the cerebrospinal nerve system certain centers that show how strain is exercised on same from functioning system, as those in the lower portion of the lumbars, from the pelvic organs, producing pains across the back, to the base of the brain, the dizziness. This produced in cerebrospinal system, as is seen at times in the body. Again in the 9th, 10th, dorsal, we find these show how the strain is exercised on same through the functioning of the supply to the digestion, especially in liver, in spleen and in the reflex and direct action of heart proper. In the sympathetics we find again a different form of depression to nerve system. These coming then as reflex actions in the body. With the strain in the system, and with the conditions in mental forces, these bring distraughtness to many portions of the body, bringing the lack of control to the system in many ways. This is the greater seat of trouble as is produced in the pit of stomach

and in the right side. These are reflex conditions. In the sensory system again we find the reaction of both sensory system, cerebrospinal system and the sympathetic system. This brings the gradual inability of the body to overcome depressions through the feelings of the sensory system, and particularly subject to any expressions that affect the sensory organism of the body rather than the sensory organs of body.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces good. Needs much of the rest to the whole organism, in thinking, in acting, in worrying, in all pertaining to the vitality of the body.
7. Teeth need attention, as is shown in some portions of the mouth.
8. In lungs good.
9. Heart action normal and abnormal, according to the functioning of the nerve systems.
10. In the digestion, subject to the conditions of nerve system.
11. Liver itself shows the strain under which the blood supply operates and how the digestion operates with the excretory system. Not organic conditions, yet having often the appearances of same. Fullness in the ascending colon often causes distress in both right and lower left side. These are produced more from irritation to the organs of the false pelvis than of organic condition in the intestinal system. Hence the necessity at all times to keep the intestines clean, nearly clean entirely, especially the descending and transverse colon.
12. The organs of the pelvis, with their change, and congestion as has been and is produced in the change [menopause?] coming to the body, irritates the body both sympathetically and through the pressure produced in the ilium and sacral plexus to the cerebrospinal system, causing most of the headaches, unless produced, as given, from indiscretion in eating when under strain. The conditions here need local attention.
13. Then, to bring the normal conditions to this body would be, first, that the body rest from labors and strain on physical conditions. Diet to reduce strain on the whole system. Take those osteopathic treatments that would relieve pressure on all cerebrospinal nerve system, and relieving the pressure in the lumbar and dorsal regions, keeping the portions in the system of the pelvic organs cleansed nominally with those properties as douches that will give the antiseptics necessary to reduce irritation. These will be found in small quantities of Glyco-Thymoline

in large quantities of water. Also using those stupes as would be found from putting Tincture of Myrrh and Aloes in warm or very hot water and steaming the rear portions of body to reduce irritation in system.
14. Do that.
15. As for the diet, this should consist principally of those properties easy of digestion, with plenty of elm water and of lemon water, little sweetened, and of whole wheat and barley breads, (No white breads) and of vegetable matter. No meats save of fish or of wild game, and of those properties easily digested in body.
16. The rest, the osteopathic forces, the rest in body and mind, will give the quicker, better, relief to the body. Do that.
17. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given? (A) Every second day, until at least 10 - 12 treatments are given. Then they may be made farther apart.
