1. GC: You will have before you the psychic work being done by Edgar Cayce (whose body is present in this room), especially the life readings, and the publishing of data concerning these. You will tell us if this is a feasible manner of presenting this phase of the work. If so, you will tell us the character of article that should be published, by whom these should be written, and to what magazines these should be sent for publication. You will also have before you the outline of a suggested article on the Life Readings, which I hold in my hand. [Prepared by Mr. [195]. See also Mr. [195]'s rdg. 195-21 on 1/16/26 approving EC booklet which was published March 1926 & filed under 4905-53, Reports.] You will go over this outline and tell us if this will make a suitable article for publication. You will correct this outline, and answer any questions that will be asked you concerning it.

2. EC: Yes, we have the psychic work done by Edgar Cayce, and that phase of same as is presented in the Life Readings.

3. In presenting articles for publication, there are many phases of the phenomena itself, as well as the purport of such articles, to be considered. These may be approached from different angles, and the purport be kept correct. These may be approached from either angle and the purport be incorrect, thereby bringing about contention, or setting self in that position of championing some cause, or conditions, or tenets, that have been expressed by peoples from ages, or that would bring condemnation from many who already have received from such sources those conditions that have been beneficial in a physical and mental manner. This does not both indicate from this that the truth of same does not exist. Hence that as given - remember the purport and the manner of presenting such conditions, see?

4. In the Life Readings, we find there are at least three phases of conditions presented, that present the three conditions as are in the general mind of an entity. There is seen the spiritual, the pride of the flesh, and the pride of the eye. In these manners, then:

254-32 Page 2

5. In the spiritual is that the soul liveth.

6. In the pride of the eye is of the material benefits that an entity may gain through its already acquired conditions or position in the affairs of the world.

7. Of the heart is that as may be attained through the position in gaining the knowledge of the entity's enduring position in various experiences in the earth's plane.

8. ALL remain true. ALL have their place in the development of an entity.

9. Then, in presenting an article, the first that should be given would be the intent, or the purport as is to be set forth regarding information that may be obtained through such sources, and the abilities to apply same in an individual's personal life in the present plane. Many individuals attain to this position: I care not what I HAVE been. What is my status with my people and my God at present? yet that as lived to-day is as to-morrow to-day, for to-day is to-morrow, to-morrow is today. In the purport, then, as is given in presenting such, the position will be seen that there will be caused much of the tangles as from the theological standpoint, yet that as may be seen will be that as proof, if what as is given is applicable in the material, the physical, the spiritual life, and as these are applicable, and as these may be applied IN the daily life, the answer then is: This is as a missionary journey. Such articles shall present same in that manner.

10. As to an outline, as is seen this is very good in many respects, save the name as implied is beginning at the end rather than at the beginning, for the end of each living being is the fact of BEING a reincarnate entity, see? Then, to present the conditions would be as rather in that vein - of not as a parable in fact, but as a simple story, that may be termed a parable, with a truth in every line. Do not begin by names of individuals through whom the information may be obtained, or who for, but rather as experiences of an individual into the realms of that called supernatural, see? Then, the name would be rather "An Evening With The Supernatural" - not that as of mystery, but rather as of true, see? or rather would be superhuman, but very natural.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Whose Life Reading would be the most interesting to be used in writing this article? (A) Whose Life Reading - who as an individual is the most interesting to most people. To one Tom's life might be the most interesting - that's as to Tom's interest and Tom's influence. To others might be Jerry's, see? depending upon that class, that character, of periodical, or of what nature

the beginning was made. ANY will accept, were they prepared correctly. Who can prepare them? Anyone that has experienced.

13. (Q) Would an article appearing in a magazine of large circulation, and bringing Mr. Cayce's name before the public, be beneficial to the work which he is doing, or would it be harmful, in that it would tend to overload him with work? (A) Use no name, as given. Let the work speak for itself, for it has been said: "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father." Also, "If ye believe not in me, believe in the work for the work's sake." Let the benefits to mankind, to individuals, to the entity personal, be in that vein, see? As there is seen, there have been many entities, there are many entities in the earth to-day, occupying various places, stations, positions, from that merited by their experience or sojourn in the earth's plane. Many have asked for, many have received, those readings that have so classified their condition, and their position, and [that have] shown wherein these may be applied in their individual lives to-day, and ANY of these may be used, for many of these are of those personages that the ENTITY would be interesting to many. Such as we find in this: To those who are of that nature, that of Achilles [900], or Hector [5717]. That of Wellington or of David. [See parallels between Duke of Wellington and King David.] That of [4219] Jonathan or of Piper, [Carl Piper?] or that of Kidd [2213] or that of Barrington [Geo.?] or that of any of the numerous ones that may be given. Each, as we see, merits that position, in that it is necessary for them to pass through that position now occupied with those environs, with those conditions, as have been builded through the various stages in earth's plane, to meet the needs of that to make the entity at an at oneness with the Creative Energy.

14. (Q) Would Ann Watkins, of 251 Lexington Avenue, New York, be of assistance in placing article in magazine? (A) Yes.

15. (Q) Would it be in keeping with the work to have a life reading on a person occupying a high position at the present time without them knowing it? (A) No - for to be of benefit there must be the desire of same. There arises in the minds of many as this: They know not how would they seek. "Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you." Those that have the gift, give to those who seek. Through same knowledge of same is gained by all.

Now, there enters the other phase, as like in this: Through such channels much monies may be made, for, as is seen, there enters in that phase in which the articles as may be written, as that of the constant nature, leading on and on, for, as is seen, and as has been given, through these sources, there at present enters into the affairs of the world that of the expectancy of the mysterious, with the message from the sources through which the new religions will be brought. These may be taken advantage of, but not for mercenary purposes alone. The TEACHING, the administering to the needs, must accompany same. Not that the monies or financial gains should NOT be taken, but not that alone, for oft has there been given that through such sources, that as is necessary to carry aid and succor and strength to many may be gained through these channels. Then, do it.

16. (Q) Would it be correct or right to have the first article written through information gained through Edgar Cayce? (A) All would be written, if they were written concerning the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, from information gained through those sources. What? Was the first gospel written by Jesus, the Master?

17. That is all the questions.

18. There may be much said, and much be given, as respecting these. Ask and ye shall receive. [3/15/27 See 195-41 on Mr. [195]'s article, AN EVENING WITH THE SUPERNATURAL.]

19. We are through for the present.
