1. GC: You will have before you the phenomena as manifested through Edgar Cayce, present in this room, and the contemplated work of the institute that is to propagate the phenomena, also those connected or associated with same. You will make corrections in any data that I may read to you in connection with this. Also give a brief outline of what should be included in the pamphlet that is to cover the by-laws, rules, regulations, etc. You will also have before you the contemplated trip of Edgar Cayce, and those associated with him, and you will tell us if it is advisable for this trip to be made at the present time, under the existing conditions, and considering the health of the body, Edgar Cayce. You will answer any further questions we may ask you regarding any of this.

2. EC: Yes, we have the work of the phenomena as is manifested. This, with much of the contemplated work of the institute to propagate same, we have had before.

3. There is seen, there is being laid out plans for a work that, as given, is to change the thought of mankind in general in many directions. Hence should be weighed and laid out well.

4. These conditions surrounding same, SO far, VERY good.

5. Ready for the letter.

6. (Q) First I will read the membership card. "Association of National Investigators, Virginia Beach, Va. (A) Association of National Investigators, INCORPORATED.

7. (Q) [Continuing] Membership Card. Class of Membership----------- Mr........................... Address..................... ................... Admitted 192 . Expires 192 . (A) This well, were it made in a form convenient to be carried in card case, or used in a way and manner in which same may be as reference in presenting self at library or lecture hall, or institution. There should be a different

form, or - rather than that as given - have Life Membership Card, see, for those who are such. These may be made some little different, by the class, character, or these may be presented, preferably, in a card case that is as a holder that may be used for other purposes also - but preferably the lady's card case than man's, though man may have same issued to same, see? Use this in preference to certificate. Much better. More in keeping with the contemplated work. More convenient to be handled. More consistent with conditions. We would change to this.

8. (Q) The letter which will be sent to fellow members: Dear Fellow Member, we take this means of informing you of your election to membership in the Association of National Investigators, Inc. The Board of trustees congratulates you and assures you of its appreciation of your cooperation in the educational and institute work of the organization, full access to which is accorded you. We trust that you will use your membership when you need or desire any help the Institute can render you, and we assure you our service to you will be limited only by the facilities of the hospital and our capacity to meet your requirements. Enclosed you will find a membership card which will identify you as being associated with us. You understand, of course, that your membership entitles you to apply for readings for yourself and unmarried members of your immediate family, and that readings will be furnished at the regular rate of ten dollars each. The readings will be taken as near as possible in the order of receipt of application, but we reserve the privilege of tendering emergency readings at any given time. Your membership gives you the further privilege of entering the Institute for treatment at the stipulated rates, and provided, of course, that accommodations are available. Thus, you may receive individual care and treatment, as prescribed in your physical reading under the supervision of sympathetic and competent physicians and close at hand to Mr. Cayce. This privilege of entrance into the Institute Hospital does not extend to adult members of your family unless they are members of the Association. personal visit, benefiting thereby in the use of the Association Library and Lecture Hall. Copy of the by-laws of the organization are hereby submitted to you, and all further literature including our magazine will be forwarded to you, so that you can follow intimately the research and educational work that we are carrying on in the field of Psychic Phenomena. We will at all times welcome your suggestions, criticisms and advices. We will make every effort to enable you to serve on one of the committees that is carrying on a phase of the work interesting to you, provided, of course, that you express your desire to so serve. Your membership affords you the opportunity of joining us in our work of rendering aid to the sick and discouraged, and to seek to so enlighten the minds of men as to give the race a better understanding of itself and its relationship to the Creator. We are all human soldiers marching through an earthly career en route to eternal life, and in seeking to aid the lame, the crippled and the weary to carry on, we recognize no creed, no doctrinal limitations, and invite all to join us who have faith in the living and divine God. In short, our aim is to march behind the banner of the Master, uniting all creeds under the one emblem upon which is everlastingly stamped the ideal of love for God and man, and to so broaden the consciousness of humanity as to awaken in individuals the realization of our common brotherhood, despite the fact that we each possess individually developed viewpoints and abilities. Trusting you will find it in your heart to further help us in our worthy cause of disseminating the good our work is constantly achieving for all who seek from its source aid and succor, and that you will become active in the purely philanthropic work of our organization, we remain Brotherly yours, (A) This very appropriate, with the contemplated work. This should bear the name of the trustees, and of any that are known as national or international investigators of phenom ena, but should not be printed, but be written as personal, see? No change, other than those suggestions with same. Now, in that as is to be sent to those who seek for

254-37 Page 4

readings, and to those who are to be asked to become associated as members to the Association - as has been suggested and planned - there should be data prepared. First: Why the Association is setting forth much of the work and good that has been accomplished in past years in what might be rightfully called a haphazard manner. Hence in the purpose, that of the closer cooperation of those that, having seen the good, feel that in the brotherly love and touch that should come from all that know of such good, this may be better disseminated through channels where cooperation is shown. Hence the Association. The purpose, then, of the Association: The institution [is to be] builded around that of a place where the records of that accomplished through these sources are kept, and others of similar nature, or of the various philosophies that may be found that will coordinate - and combined in that oneness of purpose to bring the better understanding of the purpose IN life, and thus enable man to realize the closer association with the divine. In the lecture room and the library - members, then, having access to such, gain better in the understanding of such, and the library may be made circulating, or a repository - as it will become - to all those who seek to see their THEORY disseminated. Hence this would become as the clearing house of such. Again the invitation to become associated with those attempting to do such work in a PHILANTHROPIC way and manner. Then setting forth the rules, the regulations, the by-laws, the trustees, those in charge, etc., see? As to trip contemplated, conditions, surroundings - as is seen, there is much to be done. As has been given, there should be the first consideration of WELL building in every way and manner. Set forth, then, that as is to be used in the change as is to be made for the approach, as it were, to the phenomena. Hence the much needed rest [of Edgar Cayce] should be taken, for many conditions are to be considered - ALL are to be considered - each individual associated with the phenomena to be considered. There are others to be seen - others to be known; for, as given, first to individuals, THEN to groups, then to the masses. PREPARE - BUILD - in that manner. Not overtaxing that carrier of the SOURCE of information in the body [Edgar Cayce], but rather DISSEMINATING same; for rememberest thou not, there has been given that as the work was begun was first from Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Alabama, Texas? Then the return, as it were, in triumph, to build the circular hall [Temple Beautiful - was compared to our

present great universities. GD.] with many followings! [GD's note: I think this is paralleling Ra-Ta's return to Egypt & bldg. of Temples, etc.] Carry on! Do that as given. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) To obtain financial assistance for the institution, who should we see on the trip in Cincinnati, Dayton, Nashville - (A) Those as will be SENT, as it were, to meet the needs of the conditions as may arise - for, as is seen, there is the CONTINUAL setting in motion of conditions, and the greater, bigger, better, contacts are being made. Not as to go to John Smith or Joe Jones, but to the individual forces as are directed in the needs of the individual's association with that which may be attained.

10. (Q) Should the trustees' names be printed on the stationery on which the letter is written to fellow members? (A) THAT stationery alone should bear the imprint or names of the trustees. Not the general, no - but this one letter, see?

11. (Q) Give any general advice to the body Edgar Cayce, and those associated with him, regarding this work, that will help them? (A) Let not thine good be evil-spoken of. Conduct thy going in and coming out in the manner and way in keeping with that as is being contemplated. Keep thine face toward the light. Trust in thine God, and in the promises of Him who gave: "If thou believest me, keep my commandments, and I will pray the Father, and He will send that Spirit that shall abide with thee, and keep thee when thou goest in and comest out."

12. We are through.
