1. GC: You will have before you the situation which confronts us in the selection of a home for the work manifested through Edgar Cayce. You will please advise us regarding the advisability of buying the DeTreville place, in Arctic Circle, Virginia Beach; the possibility of buying without entanglement our old house on 35th Street; or renting in some other location. Just what would be the best step, considering all surrounding conditions and the mental attitude of those who would hinder. You will answer the questions which we will ask regarding this:
2. Yes, we have the conditions as exist in the present, as confront those interested in the furtherance of the work as manifested through Edgar Cayce and those conditions mental and material as surround same.
3. In advising, then, there are three distinct phases as should be considered by those who are to make such selection, or are to act in the capacity of determining the route to be pursued in the present:
4. In the financial first, to begin at the present time - with the surrounding conditions - to rent, is to lay self liable, without due consideration of where the income would be for the furthering of same, and leave mental attitudes and activities open for others that would hinder, or even aid, questioning as to the course pursued.
5. In the matter, then, financially, to attempt to purchase or to obligate self for a purchase, the consideration being between that on Arctic Circle or that on 35th Street, with the entanglements, though from the mental attitude the 35th Street presents a much changed or bettered atmosphere, but entanglements MUST eventually ensue. Then, from the FINANCIAL viewpoint, the better position would be for that of the Arctic Circle house.
6. In the mental attitude, there are many that feel, have felt, both of the Associate group and of individuals that are mentally in accord with the attempts of those that would carry on, the act of attempting to make an established

place, even for the investment or for the home, then presents the better attitude mentally in the minds of many.
7. In the selection of that given from the financial viewpoint as the better becomes objectionable in many ways to many closely associated, and many affiliating minds, on account of the atmosphere or the surroundings of same, yet there needs be that purposes and aims, and the atmosphere of spirituality, be in and about all the surroundings that would deal with with the better abilities of spiritual forces to manifest through. From then, this viewpoint, as we would find, that while it becomes questioning, must be settled primarily in the minds of those as are the more CLOSELY concerned; for to be continuing to be dissatisfied, even when objections are offered or favorable comments are made by some, must continue to work HARDSHIPS to many. Then DETERMINE WITHIN their own selves as to what course to pursue.
8. In the spiritual outlook: In spirituality is, as its name - or the essence implies. Can all be of one mind in WHATEVER atmosphere or surrounding same may find itself, the SPIRIT moves on - either hampered by the material things, the mental attitudes, or AIDED by same, as one that enables the sources AND the surroundings to abet, not hinder, that as would be given to those that seek through these channels for aid in their physical, their mental, their spiritual attitudes, or aptitudes, toward their Maker, their fellow man.
9. Then, it is set before thee, THIS day, good and evil. While there are those enticing influences that would wield over many those of associations in the one place, and to others those of the closeness or proximity of that that is held rather as aversion without understanding the principles or sources from which the emanations of those that would aid in the same as would self - BEING UNDERSTOOD! Then, choose thou! Pray over it! Then take the DeTreville house!
10. (Q) Is there any other place at Virginia Beach - (A) There are many other places at Virginia Beach.
11. (Q) That you would advise other than the two suggested? (A) These as we have suggested - these we have given the surroundings.
