Time of Reading 11:20 to 12:00 A. M.

1. GC: You will have before you the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, present in this room, together with the enquiring minds of those who seek through the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment to bring this work to those who can be helped by it. You will consider all the associations and connections in relation to this work as you answer the questions which will be asked regarding various phases of it.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body Edgar Cayce and the work or information that may come through this channel, or source, with those sources or manners with which this may be presented, with the enquiring minds of those present in the room, the associations, the connections, the conditions that exist in associations and connections respecting the work.

3. In presenting that which is existent respecting the Work, this is much in the manner as if a shadow were cast over the whole of the present country; viewed from the material viewpoint.

4. Here in the immediate surroundings may be seen, as it were, clearing skies; with darkness or shadows over individuals in the surroundings.

5. In other portions of country, as Florida, Georgia (or a portion of same), Alabama, Tennessee, parts of Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, there are the light clouds, or the Cirro Cumulus; and gradually lightening here and there with strong lights.

6. While in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, there is the clouding up, as it were; and in the farther west even more clouded.

7. In Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, New England, there is, as it were, much of the breaking through shadowy clouds, more as the cirro-filum; or attender, corrector, and the like.

8. This is the situation that exists from the purely material or mental-earthly angle.

9. While in those realms of thought through the Borderland

there is rather the hopefulness, expectancy, determinedness, in many, many quarters; and more hopeful helpfulness in many a higher source.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What would be the best time, considering both general conditions, astrological and other influences, for making the contemplated New York trip? (A) When there is the expressed desire for such a trip on the part of those that are supposed to, or who materially, officially do, represent the work. That is the best time. For, while a spiritual truth is sought, and an addition to the mental activities and mental proclivities of all, if within the body-consciousness of those that would present same there is felt a grudging or any attitude of resentfulness, too easily does there become contending influences.

12. (Q) Should we wait for any more opinions from those in New York, other than the ones already expressed? (A) Few of the officials have expressed themselves! Wait for those!

13. (Q) Considering both the attitudes of individuals to be contacted, and as expressed at the meeting held Saturday, Oct. 7th, at Miss Edgerton's apartment, 267 Fifth Ave., New York City, and the general financial conditions, advise us as to just what would be the best arrangement as to a place to live and give the readings in. (A) You haven't gone yet; neither have there been arrangements made! A delay is imminent, unless changes are made.

14. (Q) Will you offer any advice at this time as to the arrangements we may be able to make? (A) These should be consistent with existent conditions, morally, financially, socially; and considering that there are many to be contacted of quite varied conditions or positions in the mental, the social, and the financial world. (A) Then, let all be done in decency and order, in keeping with that being presented for consideration by thinking individuals.

15. (Q) I hold in my hand a bottle of Ipsab recently prepared according to a formula given through this channel. Is this correctly prepared and will it in this form do what is expected of it? [See 1800-19.] (A) It will!

16. (Q) Is it correctly prepared, then? (A) Good.

17. (Q) Would you suggest any changes which would benefit it?

254-69 Page 3

(A) Deeper clarification only, or clearer of contamination of the water used, where there's not so much matter that has made - or does make - for a concentration of same.

18. (Q) I hold in my hand copies of two papers, Oneness of all Force [based on 262-52. See published under 262-52 Reports, 5/35] and Meditation [See [281] series]. (A) (Interrupting) They are very good, both of them! Use them as they are! Very good-looking papers!

19. (Q) Are they adequate expressions of the information which has come through this channel? (A) A very good basis on which there may be further expansion as necessity demands. Or, as we find, as these papers are presented and individuals are contacted in the various activities, even possible in the visit contemplated, there will be the contacting of those individuals who are particularly interested in these phases. Or data of such nature, concerning phases of activities, may be prepared for presentation in a form that is remunerative, as well as expanding and expansive in the activities of the work of the organization. This may be approached through the groups that are taboo, in a manner, to many that are thinking or feeling along certain lines; yet - when carried in the right way and manner - these papers will need additional data for the preparation of same. These as prepared would furnish the basis; and let them be written or prepared through the same sources or channels.

20. (Q) Please give the names of individuals who may be approached. (A) They may be any name! May be named Henry, or Anne, or Susan! Meet 'em!

21. (Q) Would it be well to approach a publisher in New York regarding the printing of a book containing the lessons prepared by the Norfolk Study Group? [GD's note: In 1942 A SEARCH FOR GOD, Book I, was published by Wm. Byrd Press, Richmond, Va. via A.R.E., with Meditation as first chapter. 10/43 HLC's Oneness of All Force was printed by A.R.E. and remained on pub. list.] (A) McCoy Publishing Company!

22. (Q) Are the plans which have been formulated for the advancement of the Cayce Foundation idea to secure individuals and groups to finance special phases of the work in line with the best development of the work? (A) These are very good. Carry them on. You must necessarily begin from a small beginning, but let THIS portion of the work be given to some one individual in New York to make such a preparation - Helen Danzig! Make her chairman of it, and let her commence work! If it doesn't

work out until four years from now, there'll be some activity - and some be asking for it!

23. (Q) Who should be approached (give names) for financing the Study Group organization program? (A) We don't find one in the present. This will come when more groups have been organized. And, as we find, it will be from Birmingham! Be very well through the publishing office of those associated with the Journal!

24. (Q) Are there any conditions which might arise in relation to the trip to New York of which we should be warned? (A) As given in the beginning, there are OFFICIAL representatives, see? trustees, officers! Have the greater portion of these in sympathy with the trip, or know the reason why! or don't go!
