Time of Reading 9:00 to 9:45 P. M.

1. HLC: You will have before you the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, present in this room, and the presentation of this work through the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., especially those phases of the organization's activities involved in the various steps and developments to be undertaken during the stay in New York City and vicinity. You will consider all of our plans, arrangements, conditions and circumstances. You will advise us as to whether we are carrying forward as we should, and will answer the questions which will be asked.

2. HLC: You will have before you the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, present in this room, and the presentation of this work through the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., especially that part of the work which may be furthered by the members who are present. You will advise each individual regarding his or her activity, as I ask the questions:

3. EC: Yes, we have the work, the psychic work, of Edgar Cayce, and that manner in which those that are members of same may present same to others.

4. In considering such an undertaking, each individual should satisfy himself or herself as concerning the plausibility and the reasonability of that which may be presented from his or her own experience with the application of the tenets or truths that may be presented through such a channel.

5. Each in his own development is then interested in certain phases of an experience of such a nature.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) In cooperation with [423], present in this room, we seek to present before a group of the American Society for Psychical Research, on Wednesday evening Nov. 8th, a reading that will be the basis for mutual cooperation in developing psychic research. Please give the subject for this reading. (A) The Sources of Psychic Information That May Be Helpful to Mankind In His Present Environment.

8. (Q) Give the suggestion that we should give to obtain that reading. (A) You will present that which will be beneficial to those present in understanding the relations of sources of such information that may be helpful to mankind in his present experience, and how there may be determined that which is truth and that which is false.

9. (Q) Is there anything that we as members of this organization can do to make this reading a success? (A) Prayer and meditation. [11/8/33 - See 5752-3.]

10. (Q) Will you give the subject for a reading to be given before the group which will meet in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest W. Zentgraf on next Sunday afternoon? (A) That which will be of aid to those present in understanding, comprehending, that period of depression through which we as individuals are passing and experiencing at present. The suggestion for such should be: You will give at this time that which will aid each individual present in understanding the reason and comprehensibility of that through which we as individuals are passing and experiencing in the situation economically at this time. [11/5/33 - See 3976-14.]

11. (Q) Advise us regarding our plans for the New York stay; as to any line of activity we should stress that we are not stressing. (A) Only that each soul that presents itself for aid or help in any line or capacity should study to show itself approved unto God, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, rightly DIVINING the words of truth that may be presented in such seeking. Let each member, each soul, search his own heart and find whether there has been through such channels that which has brought comfort, peace, harmony, understanding; for these are the fruits of the spirit; and so seek those that may be weary in body, in mind, that they too may find some hope, some light, some understanding. For, as ye seek ye will find; as ye sow, so will ye reap. Have ye gathered where ye have not sown? Then make thine own peace with thine own soul, in the light of that which has been presented to you and that may be presented to thine brother.

12. (Q) How can I, [333], as a member of this organization, help in carrying forward the ideals and purposes of the Work, especially in New York? (A) As the development of self is along the spiritual lines, that which will stimulate spirituality in the experience of others STRESS. For, much may be found in same that will be of aid, of comfort, of help, to thine neighbor.

13. (Q) [378]: (A) As thy development is along the lines of research and of presenting that which has aided in thine own conscious understanding, so seek to bring to those of thine association, thine acquaintance, that which may be - through same - of aid, of help, to those that would likewise EARNESTLY seek. [See 378-17, Par. 8-A, clarification on 11/3/33.]

14. (Q) [417]: (A) As thine development is in that of seeking to aid others that have had rather the blunt portions of life as their experience, as this has aided in helping self to see the position and relation of self to the neighbor, so present that in thine experience that has helped self.

15. (Q) [257]: (A) As thine development is in seeking rather the comfort, the aid to thine brother in every experience of his activity, so may those of thine OWN understanding be brought in association, in connection, with that which may be of help. Not everyone called shall answer, but he whom the Lord calleth doth answer. Be not weary in well-doing, for he that endureth to the end shall wear the crown, in glory; spiritually, materially.

16. (Q) [279]: (A) As thine development has brought, when seeking, that knowledge of the relationships that SHOULD exist between the Creator and the creature, so in that experience that has awakened in self the desire for the knowledge of that He would have thee do, so in body, in mind, make known that which will bring to others that aid, that help, which THOU hast visioned. Dare to be laughed at. Dare to be scorned; for those that KNOW - and KNOW they know - are His. Keep faithful.

17. (Q) [261]: (A) As thine development, thine interest, is in that which may aid the MANY, and that which may aid the individual, and that which is helpful to the individual must be of aid to the greater number, so as thine experience has brought that of counsel, of help, here, there, in the varied experiences of self - present that to others that they, too, may taste

of that which to them may be as the manna from heaven.

18. (Q) [282]: (A) As thine development surpasses many in understanding of the varied fields of activity that may bring not only succor, aid, understanding, but may bring peace and harmony and contentment in the experiences of others, so then give that hope to those that falter in body, in mind, in understanding. And dare to keep the faith with that thou hast purposed in thine heart as respecting THY relations with THY Maker.

19. (Q) [255]: (A) As thy development has merited, does merit, that of the comprehending, the understanding, that comes with speaking oft with thy God, as thou hast seen, as thou hast experienced that peace which may come with the understanding of that which may be presented, then dare to make known that which has been the dictate of thine own conscience. For, He will make known the ways to whom, where, when and how, through those that wait before His throne.

20. (Q) [428]: (A) As thine development has brought that of understanding, of peace, of harmony, so may that THOU hast experienced be brought to those that may harken to that thou mayest present respecting the associations in such a relation. GLORY in the strength of the Lord, and thine body will receive that strength which will make THEE a power in and through HIS name.

21. (Q) [903]: (A) As self's development has brought that which makes for the seeking for the sources and the reason of that which would make such information, such understanding, of value in the experience of any soul, so present to thine neighbor that THOU hast found that has been of value in thine experience. And dare to make known that which is even questioned in self. For, the seeker finds, not the stumbler.

22. (Q) [1192]: (A) As thine development has brought in self that of a seeking to ease the pain, the hurt, of those that have found the experiences hard; as thou hast seen in thine experience that which has made the way somewhat clearer, somewhat brighter, so present thine own experience. For, as like seeks like, so may THINE experience bring to another that hope that has been raised in thee. For, He faltereth not. For, has it not been given, though ye wander far afield, wilt thou cry unto that God in thee, the God of promise, He is not slow to answer those that seek.

23. (Q) [322]:

254-70 Page 5

(A) As thine development has made in thine daily experience, thine self in body and in mind, a HELPER to thine brother, thine neighbor; as thou hast seen in that which has been received by self through such associations, such relations, that which has comforted thee, hast aided thee; so those in distress, in body, in mind, may be awakened to that which they too may receive for themselves, through thine efforts in His name. Let no soul present any thought, any manner, that may not from the depth of his soul be, "As God deals with me, deal I with my fellow man."

24. (Q) [358]: (A) As thine development has been in that thought of the correlating of the philosophical thought of the East, the West, so may that thou hast gained, that makes within thine own consciousness the awareness of the ONENESS of God's purposes in the hearts of men, be presented to those thou may contact. Aid those who may seek to know how God in his mercies makes known to the seekers of His grace.

25. (Q) [346]: (A) As thine development has brought thee along that way that has made known to thee the dependence of every soul upon HIS goodness, His mercy; as through such channels thou hast received that which has awakened in thee thine OWN position; so may those to whom thou may speak also come to know Him and His goodness among men.

26. (Q) [602]: (A) As thine development in this experience has brought thee to know the spiritual application of truth in body and in mind, so present that thou hast found good in that THOU hast associated with, the connections with, that thou hast received through these channels. Do good to those that even persecute you, that even would laugh thee to scorn. Give THEM at least the opportunity to reject. For, so did they to His prophets, to His angels - everywhere.

27. (Q) [355]: (A) Awaken to the abilities in self that have been aroused through that thou hast received in thine association with such information. And study first to present self holy and acceptable unto Him. THEN may thy good be not evil-spoken of. Make known thine OWN relations with Him through such understandings as THOU hast received.

28. (Q) [349]: (A) As thine development through this association in such information has made known to thee the needs of the body, of the mind, of those that wander far afield, then GIVE to others as THOU hast received. And great may be that to which thou mayest attain. As ye seek, so will it be done

254-70 Page 6

unto thee.

29. (Q) [338]: (A) As thine development through such associations, such understandings that have come to thee, is applied in thine own experience, so make known to others those channels through which thou hast received. And so may others come to know Him better.

30. (Q) Florence Worthaler: (A) As thou seekest, as thou asketh, as thou in earnest desire to make known thy cause unto those forces, those influences that may be thine, FIRST convince self; then pass to others that which has been helpful to thee. To All: Make known this: Though the body-desires may be many, and the impartial life is as that which must meet the needs of the material body, their INCEPTION, my children, must be in the Spirit; else they turn to clay in thy hands.

31. We are through.
