1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [255]. Now, in the general physical conditions of the body, we find there are rather those conditions of which the body should be warned; for while the conditions at the present do not cause such distress, but rather inconveniences, yet were the conditions to be allowed to remain, the conditions BUILDED IN the system must eventually AFFECT the system in a manner as would be hard to combat.
2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [255] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find, in quantity, very good; in the quality, this we find shows much of the effects as are being created in the system, and the disturbances as are being builded in various portions of the system, in the manner of the pressure, in the character of the hemoglobin itself, in the character of those forces as create for the system the replenishing or the coagulation necessary in portions of the system - especially where DISTRESSES are beginning to appear.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, or SYSTEMS rather, here - again we find evidences of disturbances. Especially is this seen in the vegetative nerve system; also that of the conditions as regulated by the involuntary nerve and MUSCULAR reaction through the alimentary canal, and in the eliminations from same. Those conditions as produce pressure from constipation in the system, and the effects as created by the CHARACTER of the constipation in the sphincter muscles, in the activity of the forces as carry ON eliminations THROUGH the alimentary canal, and MOST of the character of the nerve disturbance as has to do with the digestion of CHARACTERS of foods as may be taken into the system to replenish various portions of the body.
5. In the activities, then, we find there are specific
255-1 Page 2
centers that are disturbed in the cerebrospinal system, as WELL as those plexus and ganglia from which the sympathetic and the vegetative system receive their IMPULSES THROUGH the system. Then, we find conditions in the coccyx, in the lower lumbar, in the lower portion of the dorsal region. In the 11th and 12th dorsal, in the 3rd and 4th lumbar, and in the lower sacral and the coccyx. Again we find reflexes as have to do with those plexus as govern that portion of the system from which the chyle in the system affects ITS activity with the DIGESTIVE system. This coming, then, in the 3rd dorsal, or 3rd and 4th dorsal, and its radial forces as come to those of the sympathetic system, and that of the LIVER and ITS activities, both in circulation, in excretory functioning, and in secretions.
6. In the conditions as exist in the ORGANS themselves, as a result, and as a sympathetic activities with same:
7. In the brain forces, and those of the sympathetic and sensory organism, being in conjunction with those of the sympathetic and the activities of same, we have accentuations through the sensory activities of the body. At times the vision and at times the hearing; at other times the speech; at others the sensation of feeling, whether as to others the sensation of feeling, whether as to taste or as to those of the general impressions. These become ACCENTUATED in the body through the CHARACTER of disturbance IN the BLOOD supply, as WELL as that activity to the nerve system. This RADIATES, as in the nerve system, from the condition in the upper dorsal, as well as from those plexus and ganglia as radiate with the sympathetic from the cerebrospinal near these centers.
8. In the organs of the head - the throat, the bronchia - these show the character of the disturbances, as of a sympathetic nature, especially in the manner in which the throwing off of the conditions as supply the lymphatic CIRCULATION THROUGH same show the character of the drainages in system as related to same, which show disturbances at times. Not organic; only sympathetic, from conditions existent in the body as given.
9. Heart's action near normal. No ORGANIC disturbance with same; only the repressions at times, or below normal at times, through the activity of the nerve supplies.
10. Digestive system shows that of very good reaction, in so far as stomach PROPER is concerned; while the INTESTINAL digestion, or the SYMPATHETIC digestion through that activity as is produced in the vegetative system - shows distresses and the movement of the system THROUGH the alimentary canal becomes disturbed, and hence the CHARACTER
255-1 Page 3
of digestion becomes disturbed.
11. Liver, as seen, showing both reactions from too much activity in excretory, too little activity in the proper secretions for system produced in same. Hence that tendency of the hepatic circulation to become cold, and at other times overactive, and the kidneys see the reflexes - especially in the GLANDS of same, as reflected THROUGHOUT the system in the functioning OF those as produce that equilibrium necessary to keep the movement IN the body in normalcy.
12. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions at the present time, that the minor conditions as exist may be brought to a near normal activity - first there should be the proper consideration given of that condition existent in coccyx and lumbar and sacral. These should be brought to a near NORMAL position, by the RELEASE of the PRESSURE as EXISTS there more GENERAL reaction through impulse IN the system will be created.
13. Also would be well that the sphincter muscles of the system have attention, in that of dilation in the manner as to break up that form of contraction there. This will AID the peristalsis in the lower portion of the system to the greater extent.
14. With the RELAXING of the body, with the proper considerations of the DIETS for the body - in keeping an equilibrium NECESSARY - we should bring about the nearer normal forces.
15. The addition of the vibratory forces as may be had by the low or slow form of electrical vibration, will aid also in EQUALIZING the body. The diathermy activity the better. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) Can anything be done to help the eyes? (A) The general building up of the system will aid the more in the bringing about NORMALCY in this direction, rather than of LOCAL application - for these will only magnify or stress the condition. Releasing from the pressure in the upper dorsal must aid in this direction. Do not TIRE the eyes, but let's BALANCE the CIRCULATION through this portion of the system.
17. (Q) What should be done for the scalp condition? (A) Have more red blood!
18. (Q) Give diet. (A) That as will be a well balanced diet in BUILDING for red blood, and aid the nerve forces as are overtaxed. The body is a very good dietician, but be more NORMAL in the needs of EVERY PORTION of the system, and do not tax ONE portion of the body at the EXPENSE of the other. Iron,
255-1 Page 4
phosphorous, silicon, and such - are the better conditions. The properties taken as the activities in the digestion and that of the intestinal condition, would be those of magnesia, of olive oil, and of such. These as will work WITH that begin created, and by the manipulations and the vibrations, and not as cross purposes nor as counter-irritants.
19. (Q) What causes constipation? (A) That's just been given, as to what CAUSES the disturbance - in the coccyx and in the sacral - and this producing in the vegetative system that of a contraction of the muscular forces, as produce the movements through the system, bring for that contraction of the muscles in the lower portion of the alimentary canal, as to produce a SEDATIVE reaction, and NECESSARILY the body POISONS self by the sedentary conditions as accumulate there. By the dilation of the muscular forces, by the contraction of those forces in the system as produce the reaction in the lower portion of the intestine - or through that of the colon itself, by the releasing of the pressure in the lower dorsal, RAISING of the coccyx - as will necessarily be with the dilation of the system - we will FIND these conditions will be removed.
20. (Q) Where should the diathermy poles be attached? (A) At the 5th cervical, see - 5th CERVICAL now, is said - and at the 4th LUMBAR. These reactions as are seen from these centers are both for the activity of the upper portion of system - as related to the forces as act with the liver and those that act with that of the lower hepatic circulation. Then, we would ALTER these - after changes are made by the release of the pressure - to those of the 9th DORSAL and at the 4th lumbar.
21. (Q) Is the weight correct now? or is body still too heavy? What should the normal weight be? (A) More consideration should be given to health, than to whether the weight is what is given as average or normal. At the present the weight is proper, or may be increased or diminished - but do NOT consider THESE rather than that of health itself - for once lost, hard to gain!
