1. GC: Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice, counsel and guidance as to her problems - particularly in reference to keeping up the home. You will give such information that would be helpful, in regard to the proper method to pursue, and answer the questions she has submitted as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [255]; this we have had before.

3. As to the problems and those conditions in the mental and material affairs of the body in the present, these are rather disconcerting from the purely mental or spiritual applications. There is much confusion in the present.

4. As to an approach as to how that which might be given would be helpful or constructive in the experience of the body, rather would there be a course chosen by the body mentally - under and after analyzing all those conditions that confront the body. And when there is the definite choice as to this or that way, then there may be given information that would be the more helpful in choosing the one with the greater possibilities, or the outcome of this or that choice may be given, and as to the abilities of the self to carry on in that direction chosen.

5. But to give to do this, that or the other under the existent circumstance would only make greater confusion.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Explain the courses open to the entity. (A) Many courses! This depends upon what approach is made for asking the question! This is asked blindly, without knowing the obligations, the possibilities, the abilities in the varied directions in conditions that confront the body. In making decisions there are necessarily many things, many varied conditions, that enter in just at the present time. Some making the approach that there is the necessity of

255-13 Page 2

disposal of this, that and the other interest in given activities. Others that the requirements are of such a nature that they demand curtailment in physical and mental activity in given directions, and interests in this or that portion of the experience of the body. All of these are a confusion to the body in the present, but with the prayerful consideration; analyzing self, the surroundings, the requirements, the needs, THEN there may be given - WITH the choice of this or the other way - the vision that as may be expected, or would have the right to expect under the given or certain conditions.

8. (Q) Considering my past development and present abilities, in what line of activity should I engage to bring financial returns? (A) As given here, there is being set before thee two to three varied ways or manners as to the activities and the approach, and all are confusing to the body at the present time. Yet in whatever field is chosen, that which will be the most personal, or the more personal and applicable to the activities of individuals, will be that to which the body's abilities - mentally AND physically - will respond more readily. That is, there is - to be sure the physical training in given directions. There is the innate or soul training that is easily aroused or awakened in each soul, each entity. Hence the body's activities would deal more with the individual, whether as just one or many. In such a field of service or activity would the greater successes be obtained.

9. (Q) Considering present conditions and circumstances, and the confusion, would it be best not to continue with the list of questions the entity has sent, at the present? (A) Rather do they make for confusion, until there may be the given line of thought. But under the existent conditions there may be many a varied thing that must be considered before the activities of the body in this direction or relation might be seriously considered. Proceed.

10. (Q) Should her life work include the manufacture and sale of the hair curling fluid suggested through these sources? [289-1, Par. 11-A and 12-A] (A) This may be done, but there's confusion in the present respecting same. Confusion.

11. (Q) Please give the entity such advice and counsel as will be the most beneficial to her at the present time, under the existent conditions. (A) As indicated, first all the conditions that confront

the body, the varied activities, the varied possibilities and probabilities in the varied fields, should be weighed well; as well as those demands, in a manner, or those ultimatums that are in a manner being presented through certain channels. If the body CHOOSES to enter into such a field as the manufacture and distribution of such a product, this may prove to be a most remunerative channel. To be sure, there should be added with same the full line of cosmetics that would be in keeping with these activities. And this then becomes rather a requirement that would necessitate rather a far-reaching field, and a greater demand - than is at present seen - upon the efforts of the body and her surroundings, that it may be perfected and then disposed of or maintained in such a way and manner as to be remunerative to the body. Of course, it may be done. As to the field, or manner, or way, this isn't a small proposition, you see, in any direction it is taken. It may be given, but to have a formula or to perfect a formula is a long ways from making it remunerative in a manufacture and distribution, unless it is combined with a greater field of activity, or kept as a whole and then disposed of in a way and manner as to maintain an interest in it - or disposed of as a whole.

12. (Q) Please give all information necessary for making the hair curling tonic. (A) The ingredients are as given. First, at the proper season, gather the seed of the American persimmon - just after the first frost upon the fruit, you see. The cleansing of the pulp from the seed is necessary; not that the seeds are wholly dried - but this may be done by machinery or by hand, dependent upon the quantity or amount to be made. The bark of or from the root of such a tree should also be gathered in the same proportion. The seed or the pit, with the kernel, should be crushed. Equal parts (by weight) of the crushed kernel and bark combined in one part of the kernel, one part of the bark, and three parts of distilled water. This should be allowed to stand for one to three days, you see, then (being stirred occasionally) - as it begins to show ferment - it is to be distilled. Then, from that distilled - add to four parts of the distilled fluid one part of bay rum. This would be used as a massage into the scalp and to wash the hair in, you see, or dampen same and set - and just don't get it too kinky, but it'll wave!

13. (Q) From what State or Country should these be obtained? (A) As given, it should be the American PERSIMMON - and

255-13 Page 4

most any State where it grows; the varies, of course, in various portions.

14. (Q) Does it make any difference as to variety of persimmon? (A) The American persimmon.

15. (Q) Should the kernel be taken out of seed or be just crushed? (A) As given, just crushed.

16. (Q) Should distilled water be used for making tonic? (A) Just given.
