1. [257]: Now you will have before you the body of [257], who is located in this room, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., also the bodies of Ben Lauterstein, and Irving H. Isaacs, whose offices are with the Federal Furniture Factories, 206 Lexington Ave., New York City. Ben Lauterstein at his home - whose home is 320 West 86 Street, New York City, and Irving H. Isaacs at his home 270 West End Ave., New York City, the owners of the business. You will have [257] and his association with the Federal Furniture Factories, and these two men. You will talk about the business, as to [257]'s future with the firm, his present standing, and what the next eight months will bring toward definite advantage of the body and the firm, and you will answer the questions which we will ask you. You will go thoroughly over this matter, over the business, examine it thoroughly, and tell us the condition you find at the present time. You will give the information slowly and distinctly, and in detail.
2. EC: Yes, we have those relations of individuals with the business, and business associations and relations of each as respecting the conditions surrounding these. These we have had here before.
3. As given, there is to come the time for the reckoning as respecting the future advancing of propositions and conditions as of the associations of others as respecting the Federal Furniture Factories, and associate companies with same; and, as given, the business is to see those changes as given, and in the months to come will see that of the broadening and of the changing as will come about for the larger expansions, and as MAY be brought through those sources as has been given - these will prove beneficial to those associated and as connected with same. Hence, as there has been given for the body [257], keep that association until these are ready for those changes, for in same there comes the bigger, better, and broader opportunities for the body, in the relation with the business, and with the relations to the furniture factories,

exchanges and trade, as the whole.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Why did Mr. Isaacs make the statements to [257] that he made last week in reference to financing of the business? (A) This rather as that of the individual, and the individual's turn of mind, and the individual's own activities, see?
6. (Q) Is it true that the banks are investigating the business? (A) Investigating the business, for the further financing of the expansions in the various directions, as has been given, see?
7. (Q) Will the auditor's reports be acceptable to the bankers? (A) Part, yes. Part, no. Hence, as given, some several months until October - before the final settling of such conditions, and the business conditions in general being that as will be another factor as respecting the expansions and changes, see?
8. (Q) What plans has Mr. Isaacs for the body, [257], and is he sincere in his promise? (A) Sincere, and expects - with the general change and general conditions - that these are to be shown in the manner of that and of the offers that will be made as respecting those changes. Hence, as given, carry self in that way and manner, not out of touch with other conditions or other associations, but rather keep self in a way and manner that self may take advantage of the experience of the business relations, of the business expansion as is being contemplated with and through these connections of Irving H. Isaacs and of Ben Lauterstein. DO that, in the way as has been given. Follow those. Do that in hand, keeping charge of those conditions as is necessary from period to period of the changes as are meted out for the entity and the body to meet; for the services, as seen, are satisfactory, and the expansion as has gone about under the efforts of the body is in the way of receiving that reward for the effort put forth, and will not go unrewarded.
9. (Q) Should [257] bring this issue to a head, or await the pleasure of the members of the firm? (A) As given, do not force these issues. Rather let the issue be forced by those offers and those conditions that are being presented to the body, for these as are attempting to make the expansion are as evidently in close touch with the efforts expended as those that would seek the efforts of the entity to expand in other fields. Why tempt thine own self, or bring those conditions to bear that would bring any

character of antagonism; for, as has been given from the first there has been sufficient of the antagonistic element in Isaacs, through the ABILITIES shown in the body [257] measuring up to those of Isaacs itself, see? Rather use self and self's abilities to show the worth of self in the association, than to rely so much upon promises of others that must of necessity be worked from the ground again to the peak of the abilities of the entity. When the abilities are shown, ALL seek. There is always room at the top. The mediocre man is the one easily fallen out, for these places are crowded.
10. (Q) What should [257] do during next six months? (A) Work like thunder!
11. (Q) Are his plans definite? (A) Make them MORE definite.
12. (Q) Is there any special line that he should develop? (A) All those lines as has been given.
13. (Q) Should he attempt to take on radio cabinet business during this year? (A) Not more than as has been set already, for this necessitates the outlay of much moneys, in the changes as are appearing in this field. Rather take care of that already being expended, than expanding to such an extent to make rather the small showing for that already delved into.
14. (Q) Is there any advice the body can offer the members of the firm to assist in the present plans for the bigger development? (A) That's much of the trouble with those planning for the bigger development. They - Isaacs and Lauterstein - think they know sufficient, see? and the interference from others may bring condemnation, rather than that of pleasure. So, in the application of that in hand, apply self; rather than in counsel, rather that of deeds.
15. (Q) What can the body do to develop a larger sales organization, to assist in the present development? (A) Work those already organized, rather than adding others!
16. (Q) What is the general business condition, and the outlook for the next six months? (A) Just as has been given. Slow through May, June and July there will be the up turn of business, see? July, August, September, very good - better than as has been in these lines, or in these fields - for there must of necessity come much for the replacing of conditions in destructive fields, and these will of their NATURAL conditions have their share in all of these conditions - yet

rumors and changes will have the effect upon the elements - yet the expansion will at that time be in hand in such a way and manner as the changes brought about will make broader field for the entity. Follow those lines as has been given, showing self rather worthy of those faiths and confidences as may be placed in the efforts of the entity from time to time.
17. We are through for the present.
