1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [257], present in this room, and his association with the officials of the Federal Furniture Factories, offices 206 Lexington Av., New York City, and the association with the Association of National Investigators, Inc., at Virginia Beach, Virginia - and the body's association with various members of the Association. You will answer the questions which I will ask you.

2. EC: We have the body here. This we have had before. Also those associations with the Federal Furniture Factories, and the association with Association of National Investigators, Incorporated, at Virginia Beach. A portion of these, as we see, we have had here before. These, while in some conditions have not been entirely satisfactory with the body - yet we find these conditions are gradually taking shape in the ways and manners as have been outlined, and more and more the body feels the security as has been given would come to the body as respecting the outcome of this association with the Federal Furniture Factories. These conditions as we find that surround the business, the financing of conditions as respecting the combinations as are in mind, and tentative plans concerning same have been drawn - tentative efforts have been made from either condition. These, as we find, are to be settled in a manner before the departure [to Europe] of those associated as secretary and treasurer, and the president of same, and those associations as are to be made - those connections, even, that are to be made with and through, and by such trip, will CEMENT the organization for a still larger expansion in the general mart that is to be brought about by some of connections made. Hence the position, the conditions, as have been given as respecting the body [257] and the association with those connected with same, are to be made then the more satisfactory. Have as definite tentative plan, then, for the position, for the settlement of the amount, before such trips - or before such is left in the hands of those that are to oversee the affairs of the

Federal Furniture Factories before the departure of these, and with this departure coming the more responsible condition and position of the body [257], these will be made the more secure, if the body will insist that same are taken into consideration, and the place, position, and the standing of the body in respect to the position the body is to occupy in the new organization (for the body will be considered in same). Then there will be much more satisfactory conditions.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) How shall the body approach the treasurer? (A) As the body would approach any other, for the sale or disposition of any other commodity that was on the tracks of the company or organization. Business - purely business proposition. Would have the understanding - KNOW these changes are to come about the position is either secure or the position is not. Then know! As to what will be the outcome, that will be given, if the body will act in the way and follow the suggestions as given. Many conditions have arisen, of course, as the body understands, that have not been entirely satisfactory to self. Some discussion has arisen as respecting expenditures made by the body [257], and the returns as have come to the Federal Furniture Factories from such expenditures; yet these are minor, as to that position as has been made by the body, and many of the connections that have been made through the efforts of the body are made in a way and manner that makes the position more secure.

5. (Q) Is it advisable to show the reading to the treasurer? (A) The treasurer doesn't think any too much of them. Act in the way and manner as if the body knew what they were, and the body knows that the treasurer will even suspect more than is given. It is well to be fortified - not always well to present everything to the other fellow, against or for whom the body is fortified; for the injunction has been to pray, but it has also been made, "WATCH as well as pray."

6. (Q) What progress has been made by the body with the Association of National Investigators, and should the body purchase property next to the lots of the hospital site, or should he buy the former one opposite the Cavalier Hotel - Cavalier Shores at Virginia Beach, Va., considering all points of investment? (A) As regarding property or investment at Virginia Beach, and a consideration between locations of properties as are considered, or as are given here - there has been given the information concerning the purchase of properties as adjoining that of the building of the Association of

257-19 Page 3

National Investigators as being properties that those interested in should own, if or should they desire to be in the way of making capital of the conditions surrounding same. While those as are presented respecting the grounds opposite Cavalier are excellent, yet - with the changes made in the conditions about those grounds - trouble may be expected! In those as will be about the grounds in that section where ASSOCIATION will build, the more the change the greater the improvement. The outlay in capital will be found in THIS section to be at least twenty percent (20%) advance from what may be expected on that opposite or fronting Cavalier.

7. (Q) Will the treasurer of the Federal Furniture Factories give a donation to the Association of National Investigators? (A) We do not find him contemplating same at present. That may come later, but - if would - would come through other sources than that as is seen in the mind of the secretary-treasurer at present.

8. (Q) Should the body ask for the two percent (2%) bonus promised on all business done since the body came with the firm? (A) If offered in sincerity, this should be the natural outcome. Why not? Ask - for, "Ask and ye shall receive. Knock and it shall be opened unto you."

9. (Q) Will the treasurer go to Europe? and when? (A) Contemplating same, as given.

10. (Q) What will be the business conditions from July 1927 to January 1928? (A) Depends upon what business this is depending upon -

11. (Q) Of the Federal Furniture Factories. (A) These, as given, will be on the increase.

12. (Q) What plans may [257] carry out to make the most successful year? (A) Follow those injunctions and precepts as have been given concerning the connection of self or Federal Furniture Factories, or whatever association the body desires to improve self or to entrench self in as respecting that in which the efforts are put forth. As to these relations, there have been those connections made. Well for the body to visit these once in a while. Keep these in touch in a way and manner, so that those entering from other fields - for remember, the harder to sell, the more effort is to be put forth to dispose of that as is being created or made.

13. (Q) Should he travel in these six months, and where? (A) How will he see those without going to see them? Takes travel to go!

14. (Q) Should he visit Lammert at St. Louis, especially? (A) Be this one of those as is mentioned here, visit same.

257-19 Page 4

The body KNOWS which ones, which places, which connections have been made. He knows the position, the place to make larger ones. DO that.

15. (Q) Should the body move to new apartment on 106th Street, New York City? Will he be able to afford the up-keep of all his responsibilities? (A) If the body thinks so, he will. If the body puts his efforts toward those conditions and needs, he will. As to the position, the place, very good. One and six, however, is seven not three.

16. (Q) Should the body follow the three in changing the residence? (A) Well that the body keep these before it, as has been given though seven, as seen, is good - for it is a portion of the life, but crosses may be expected through same.

17. (Q) Has the body's attitude been proper towards his firm in the present year? (A) Very good.

18. (Q) Is there any connection with the body's success of the dream he had last night? (A) Rather the connection between the actions of the body with those with whom the body desires to have the more perfect understanding, and - as is seen in the way the covers are made to handle that as to be disposed of or to be shown - that is the way in which it is to be handled. Keep everything open and above board, but always be prepared for the next move.

19. We are through for the present.
