1. [257]: Now you have before you the body of [257], who is located in this room at Virginia Beach, Virginia. You have the body and the enquiring mind of [257], with the conditions, connections, and associations in the business, in a financial way and manner. Then you will answer questions concerning these, or their relations concerning same. You will give the information in detail.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]. This we have had before.

3. In regards the physical forces of the body, these we find very good in many ways and manners. Better than that as we have had here before. Warning should be taken as respecting congestion in relationships with changes as are being made and contemplated by the entity, and that as given respecting the change in diet for place, season, and such conditions.

4. The mental and business and social relations are more in accord with the temperament and elements of the body than we have found in many times before. As to the relations as respecting business, ready for questions.

5. (Q) Should [257] continue relations with Federal Furniture Factories as their sales manager without demanding payment of past due commissions? or what should [257]'s attitude be on this subject? (A) There should be the concrete understanding of the relationships that are to exist between the Federal Furniture Factories and [257], and that association, position, place, that [257] is to occupy, maintain, or acquire, with this connection. We would not DEMAND same. We would come to an amiable understanding OF the relationships that are to exist. There is seen that there are many conditions to be considered in this connection. Hence there has been given that the body should be patient, long-suffering - yet such may become wearisome, tiresome, and unreasonable; yet there are in this association and connections greater possibilities than may be attained or gained through association in other directions, when there

257-27 Page 2

has been so much of self spent in maintaining, gaining, and reaching the present position. Hence it would be foolhardy on the part of self to make demands, until there is a more perfect according condition between those relationships being attained and maintained and reached by those comprising, making, and handling the Federal Furniture Factories and associations of same - see?

6. (Q) How can this concrete understanding be brought about in an amiable way, and when can it be successfully consummated? (A) This, as we see, would refer back just to that information as has been given concerning same. There are other influences, other conditions, other propositions, that are and have been, and where knowledge is had concerning other propositions. Get these propositions in concrete form and manner, so that these are NOT in a way where there would be the committing of self to LEAVE firm, but use same rather as a prize and a basis upon which others may see that the worth of the individual endeavors are necessary. In other words, as this: When there is an offer of $50,000, $75,000, a $100,000 as a salary, that gives a concrete basis upon which an amiable settlement and condition may be brought about. As long as no one sets any criterion, or any basis upon which this may be maintained or reached, there's necessarily - as in any undertaking - this would be kept as low as is possible TO keep, see?

7. (Q) When should this attempt be made? before Mr. Isaacs goes to Europe, or after he returns? (A) These may be brought into BEING, and a consideration given same before September, or before he goes to Europe, and the consummation may not be entirely completed until AFTER the return - but give a basis upon which to operate. There will also be seen there will be propositions wherein a portion, or a part time of the endeavors of the entity may be given to other channels, see? under the supervision of the body, but the DIRECTING channel through other sources. These will also have their influence that will bring about the consummation of a concrete, definite, basis upon which to operate. There will be so much time allowed, or all time required by the body for such and such basis. There should not be considered less than $75,000 to $100,000 salary basis.

8. (Q) Why do they demur at this time in making a settlement of past due commission? (A) That same basis upon which those connected with same have continued to delay. That's a portion of the individuality of those in charge of business - delay as long as possible; yet when forced issue - as has been given

257-27 Page 3

concerning same, there are others interested that are factors in amount given to individuals. These have held off, and hold off, for other considerations, see? Hence the forced issue may be brought about. Not any act on the part of those so closely associated to do that not right - but just, "Put it off just long as we can."

9. (Q) Should [257] send a telegram - which he has in mind - to the members of the firm during the coming week, before Mr. Isaacs sails for Europe? (A) In a part, yes - but have more complete basis upon which to work. Do not make a definite stand, that you either give or take basis; that it must be made concrete basis upon which to work.

10. (Q) Is it the intention of the firm to make full settlement on commission basis of the four years of [257]'s accomplish- ment? (A) Yes and no. There are to be - the intent and purpose, that is, are to be that other considerations, associations, other conditions, are to enter in, rather than the pure commission basis. Commission basis, yes - but not wholly as cash basis. Bonuses, stocks, associations, connections, relations, time for other conditions, etc.

11. (Q) Will the Albert Pick stock - which the firm would give to the entity - be of value during this year? (A) Be of value during this year. Not a great deal value, but more than par at present - on which basis it is being operated.

12. (Q) Will the business be successful under the present management? (A) Be successful under the present management.

13. (Q) Are the bankers at the Manufacturers Trust Co. - Mr. Ralph and Nathan Jonas - interested in keeping Isaacs, Lauterstein and [257], associated together? (A) Yes and no, again. There are DIFFERENCES of opinions as concerning the associations. There has been and is that consideration being taken thought of as to SEPARATING a portion into heads of various departments, or of various manufacturers - see?

14. (Q) Should [257] go to St. Louis to see Mr. Isaac Orr in reference the purchase of the Paris Medicine Co? of which he is the executor? (A) Well to consider same, and to approach same through and in the way and manner as a whole, or a secondary consideration, for that necessary to bring about the amiable and concrete settlement with those connected - but we would not break the furniture connection at the present time, for [257] would be able to draw MONEYS from both sources.

15. (Q) How should [257] approach Mr. Orr on this subject

257-27 Page 4

of purchasing the Paris Medicine Co? (A) This will be given, and has been outlined, by self and by others. Follow those leads as have been given.

16. (Q) Would it be advisable for [257] to talk to Mr. Ginsberg of the Saginaw Shops of Chicago, who has made a definite offer in times past for [257]'s services? (A) Well to get a concrete, definite, UNDERSTANDING and letter or paper concerning same - but don't bind self until you're ready to.

17. (Q) How should [257] present this information to the Federal Furniture Factory executives? (A) When these papers, or these letters, or these agreements - that are based entirely UPON the OUTCOME of the settlement to be made with present association in the Federal Furniture Factories. That's first, see? These are to be based entirely upon the future association with the Federal Furniture Factories. Then when these are in hand, in the concrete way and manner, simply present same in a BUSINESS way and manner, making the appointment and stating to those through whom these would be presented to the Board for action. That of the regular business arrangement.

18. (Q) Should [257] make any effort to meet again with Mr. Jonas, who is the head of the Financial Industrial - which controls the Federal Furniture Factories? (A) Yes - when these are in hand, well. Not before.

19. (Q) Should he go through Mr. Isaacs and Mr. Lauterstein? (A) Mr. Lauterstein.

20. (Q) Does Mr. Isaacs hold an antagonism for [257], or is it just his manner? (A) More manner than real antagonism, for while it may be termed an antagonistic condition - yet it is more of that nature of being OUTDONE, than of pure antagonism. See the difference?

21. (Q) Will Irving Isaacs be able to hold this position as the head of the Albert Pick Co., Chicago? (A) For the time, yes. As to future - that may change.

22. (Q) How long will he be able to hold this position? (A) Too many things depend upon the action of the individual, to give a definite prediction as to just the period. For the next two or three years at least.

23. (Q) In reference to [257]'s Chicago trip, has he started his organization for national sales properly? (A) Very good. The outline as set is proper. Necessarily some minor changes in the way and manner these will be presented in various centers. These will be seen, and the body mind would be able to meet the exigencies as they arise.

257-27 Page 5

24. (Q) Is it to [257]'s benefit to continue this organization, even though he has no definite understanding of his firm's treatment to him - once he accomplishes his work? (A) Correct; for, as has been given, merit that position one would attain or acquire for. Think not that others do not see that these are being builded on the correct principles.

25. (Q) Do Isaacs and Lauterstein - (A) (Interrupting) realize this condition? They certainly do!

26. (Q) Is body of [257] following the advice as the forces have desired him to live and act? (A) Would [257] consider that as has been given, there would be seen - as has been often given to others - that in action one acquires an understanding. The acquiring and the accomplishment should be the answer.

27. We are through for the present.
