1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [257], and his association with the Federal Furniture Factories, 206 Lexington Ave., N.Y. City, and you will answer the questions I shall ask you regarding these. Also his connection with the General Electric of Schenectady, N.Y.; the Westinghouse of Massschusetts, and the cabinets now under construction by the Federal Factories.
2. EC: We have those conditions as surround construction of cabinets by Federal Furniture Factories for General Electric and Westinghouse. These conditions, as we find are proving somewhat troublesome to the mind and activities of [257]. There has not been the full cooperation, as there should have been, on the part of the superintendent of construction in the matter. This condition, however, may be made satisfactory by the adherence of those conditions and instructions and suggestions as have been given to the body of [257] concerning the associations of the body with General Electric and with Westinghouse. These should be made DELIVERABLE, and other business should be obtained and gotten through and from these same associations and connections. While some of the conditions that have been given respecting changes in radio manufacturing after August enter into these conditions, the change will be in the numbers and in the character of cabinets that will be necessary for changes in reception, as of sets that will be builded by engineers on building and experimenting on such elements. As to the conditions surrounding this, make them amenable.
3. (Q) Will this connection between these two concerns and Federal Furniture Factories continue, with [257] handling the business satisfactorily? (A) Handling the business satisfactorily, YES. Continue and continue to grow.
