1. GC: You will have the entity [257], present in this room, and his business associations, his mental and physical self and his business problems before the Forces - we seek advice and counsel from the Divine and the all knowing Forces and we respectfully ask proper guidance in such detail that the body [257] will know the definite steps to take. We will ask questions. Please be patient and answer them in detail and completely.

2. EC: Yes, we have those conditions, influences, and various elements as enter to make those associations and relations of the body of [257]. These we have had before, or many of these - for in such relations, conditions, as material things, are constant in their change. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Are the plans of [257] in reference the sale of Radio furniture to manufacturers laid out on a firm sound basis? (A) As laid out, yes - on a firm, sound basis. There will be - of the NATURAL conditions - those elements as will enter that may alter name from time to time. The plans as LAID are sound, legitimate, and equitable - and would be of far-reaching nature in the changes as this manner would bring to the ones so engaged in same, and would naturally - of itself - gradually become a business in itself.

4. (Q) How can they be improved, so this will be a successful profitable year? (A) Work!

5. (Q) Will this year be as large a radio year as the manufacturers of Radio believe? (A) Even larger - UNLESS there are other INFLUENCES as may CHANGE conditions; for while Radio and its great scope of change has been considered of the luxury nature, this is becoming one of the NECESSARY luxuries - and will, with the changes as are brought about, be greater and greater in its scope; UNLESS this be hindered by curtailment in the manner of broadcasting.

6. (Q) What may be expected and guarded against to make

257-36 Page 2

this a successful year? (A) That depends upon what phase of the endeavor is to be considered. From the actual production end, NONE. From that of the expansion end, that is, a different condition. From that of the changes as arise, still a different condition. The plans, however, as laid, as need be only worked out, would meet the needs and bring about even greater successes along these lines.

7. (Q) Has [257] made a proper selection of an assistant in Russell Davis of Philadelphia? (A) Good - and an EFFICIENT assistant.

8. (Q) What can [257] do to aid this man make a success in the handling of radio Furniture, with Atwater Kent Jobbers? (A) Do not overshadow him too much. That's the greatest assistance that the body may give; that is, do not allow self to overshadow Davis' abilities. Demand and expect certain or DEFINITE things from the body's endeavors and these will be worked out by Davis!

9. (Q) Will Thos. Molloy be successful in the handling of the Wood Cabinet Corporation of N.Y.? (A) This presents a different CHARACTER. While strong, and able, and efficient - yet will need NURSING in a different manner. Not as an overshadowing, but as an able backer in the efforts OF Molloy TO succeed in the direction as set out with the Wood products. The ABILITIES, the PLANS OF the body Molloy are excellent! and will bring RESULTS! The body is just tender, or fearful, and needs only pushing.

10. (Q) How can [257] guide him to success? (A) Keep boosting!

11. (Q) What should [257] do to train his secretary [349] to completely handle his affairs while he is away? (A) Hard indeed to have anyone fill the office of self in any time; yet under stress, and under the varied conditions as arise, EFFICIENCY in the secretary-ship is necessary. In the training, then, there needs in THIS instance to be more of that assurance of expectancy on the part of [257] for the secretary to fill that place in as efficient a manner as lies in her power to do so. Instill that into the very SOUL of the body, and there needs be little fear that it will NOT be accomplished in the absence of the body! and there may be expected a report in every instance that will be satisfactory. Demand only such a report. Assist in other directions.

12. (Q) Is she competent in her work? (A) This has answered itself!

13. (Q) Has Ben Lauterstein of the Albert Pick Corp. made [257] a fair proposition in giving a salary and an interest

257-36 Page 3

of 1/4 in the Federal Wood Products Co.? (A) A fair proposition - yet not TOO good a one! It depends upon the efforts of the body [257] and associates to make it such a WONDERFUL one as to even be beyond the OWN concept of what it may grow to; for in the application of self in the various fields of wood and metal - and their combinations, as are seen being worked out - there may come almost an UNTOLD expansion by the body, as has oft been given, and as again has been given, do not attempt to DO it all! Rather surround self with efficient assistants, that the fruits of the LABORS of self may be enjoyed by self rather than of others. Then, do not have the idea or ideal that "Look what I done!"

14. (Q) What will the Pick stock be worth in three years? Will it reach what Lauterstein believes? (A) No reason why it shouldn't!

15. (Q) What will the profit amount to on the 1/4 holdings during 1929? (A) Seventy-five to eighty thousand dollars!

16. (Q) Should [257] have the matter in writing - (A) In WRITING!

17. (Q) Should [257] resign from the Vice-Presidency of Albert Pick Co. for the best interest of his holdings in the Federal Wood Products? (A) Not necessarily. Well to be able to know all the various phases of other developments in the various branches of the channels through which distributions, not only of own wood products but of others is distributed. Rather be able to feel the pulse, than to look on and say "Is that so?"

18. (Q) Will his connection with the two companies at the same time bring criticism to [257] or his associates? (A) No.

19. (Q) What about his holding office in the Federal Furniture Factories at the same time? (A) Why not?

20. (Q) Is Irving H. Isaacs sincere in his desire for [257] to make $100,000 a year on the basis of a five year association? (A) Correct - for that, in a manner, would keep the body busy, and out of the way of Isaacs in a manner; yet still where the body could continue to say "Look what I done for [257]!"

21. (Q) Should stock cabinets be built by the firm prior to the June market? (A) Not too fast! Be sufficient to be able to meet the needs. These should be felt out along the line of Davis' undertakings, and not let him get over anxious - but don't hinder him too fast.

257-36 Page 4

22. (Q) What should [257]'s next step be in reference the back money that the firm owes him? (A) Don't leave that out of the future relations!

23. (Q) Should [257] buy 1000 shares of Sears-Roebuck at Monday's market to hold for ten days, even though he has only limited cash? (A) Then it's rather dubious to do such; for while these changes - as given - may come, why JEOPARDIZE so MANY interests by such a move? Don't work so fast as to stumble over self!

24. (Q) How much should he buy? (A) Such that he would be able to meet the needs of fluctuations in a normal way, without JEOPARDIZING interests or self's own MENTAL forces.

25. (Q) Will the stock take decided dips during that period? (A) Why ask such questions when it has just been given as to - If it was just going straight on up what would be the use - Buy a million shares! Use judgement.

26. (Q) What oil stock would be well to buy in April, and what is the trend? (A) This is a very DUBIOUS condition, for there is almost one continual combine in these directions. As to individual ones, ANY of these would offer opportunities as holdings - but as speculative interests, not so good, though there may be considerable changes. Indiana, or Continental, or Harlan - any of these offer opportunities.

27. (Q) Will the consolidations take place of the Communications company as given in 1928, American Tel & Tel - Int. Tel & Tel? - [See 257-30, Par. 17-A, 18-A on 8/24/28.] (A) These combinations in communicative forces, as has been given WILL take place. As to when, and how, consider the conditions as prevent such a coalition at this time. Not only are there some of the laws as concerning same to be changed, but many of the larger holdings are to be won over by death even. In these changes, then, these are to be a GRADUAL change, and will come about much in the same way and manner as the various Express companies came under the direct correlation physically in one form. Not that wars alone are to produce same, but the RUMORS of many of same, making the necessity OF communications in the varied fields to come under one supervision, will make physical coalition. As to when, in time - it may be years, but all of the varied channels of communication will work one with another, and thus the varied commodities in their various divisions - as has been given - will offer an opportunity of investments as for holdings; and as for speculative interest - both those of the air and of physical contact, meaning those of

257-36 Page 5

Telegraph, Telephone, as well as Radio or Radial Operative Forces - including International American, Western Union, Westinghouse, and Radio. [GD's note: This prophecy was fulfilled. See 416-7 Reports.]

28. (Q) Should they be bought now? (A) Dependent upon whether for speculative or for holding. As for speculatives, SOME of these - International especially - good opportunities. Western Union, still opportunities.

29. (Q) Will the re-discount rate be raised prior to July 1st? (A) This has been given.

30. (Q) Are new consolidations pending for the Pick Barth interests? (A) Will CONTINUE to be so.

31. (Q) Are new deals pending that will cause rise in Goldman Sacks Corp? (A) There are. These of the chain store variety are the outlets for these particular interests, and of those that seemingly at present are minor and mean little, but will suddenly come forward - especially of those of the middle West and South. Their names? Wait and find them out! until they come along! There's many of them being considered!

32. (Q) Advise [257] as to how he can further improve his standing as an executive personally, financially, to be the well-rounded man his ambitions lead him to? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, avoiding even the appearance of censure.

33. (Q) Which time would be best for [257] to go to St. Louis on the Medicine matter - April 9th or April 12th? (A) It will take both!

34. (Q) Are the conditions in any way changed from the instructions given the body by the Forces last week? (A) Follow those.

35. (Q) Please guide the body during this period in order that all of the faithful to Thee and Thine word shall be assisted by the results of this purchase and handling of this company. (A) Keep just that as has been given and ALL will be well.

36. (Q) Should the body permit an interview - (A) (Interrupting) Certainly!

37. (Q) (Continuing) that he has already had with the American Magazine to be published? (A) Certainly!

38. (Q) Should the Forces [Edgar Cayce Work] from which [257] has received so much help be mentioned in this article as the body desired to give the credit where the credit is

257-36 Page 6

due - (A) Then give it!

39. (Q) Or is it better to wait for time being and have a special article on the work and then introduce the various people who have been assisted please advise us on this. (A) That's given first!

40. (Q) Should body go to Oklahoma with his wife and baby? for a vacation? (A) Well!

41. (Q) When? (A) May - June.

42. (Q) What should body do to improve his spiritual self while developing the material? (A) Just as given - study to show self approved unto Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts - for this the basis EVER for an entity to work; for what profit it a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? or what would a man give in exchange for his soul? The ENTITY is in the way of developing self, developing soul, and drawing close to the Creative Energies. Do not forsake that first injunction, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" [Deut. 5:7; Ex. 20:3], for in "ME" is the sufficiency for the needs of power, wealth, position, fame, honor - yet honor through those giving honor. Through that which GIVES honor may honor be kept, attained, or even satisfy. For, when trials and turmoils come from within - with the abundance of this world's goods - there can ONLY be that turmoil from WITHIN of a life not kept in attune with that injunction. For he that putteth position, self, power, money, place, before the God - THAT becomes the god, and must crumble before the Throne!

43. We are through.
