(Body and enquiring mind - associations and others interested or to be interested in purchase and sale of Paris Medicine Co. of St. Louis and E. W. Grove, Jr., who is at present at Chester, Nova Scotia. Questions.)

1. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]. This we have had before. Also those associations and relations as regarding the purchase and sale of Paris Medicine Company. This also we have had before. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) How can final negotiations be brought to a successful close in the time set by the Forces, August 3rd? (A) By the continued activities along the lines and through the channels that have, are to be, or were to be consummated, and in that activity towards that end these may be brought about.

3. (Q) Will it be necessary for [257] to go to see Grove in Nova Scotia? (A) Necessary provided [257] has sufficient of the proposition in hand to present a feasible outlay to the body Grove, or provided [257] has a definite proposition to lay before the body Grove. By the continued working towards this end, this should be consummated in the meeting as is to be held Monday - 29th - July. That then leaves the 30th, 31st, and to the 3rd, for the final closing of proposition. Should the conditions as arise in this meeting necessitate the delay for three to five days, then necessary to communicate directly with Grove, then personally present the proposition. Do that.

4. (Q) What should [257]'s attitude be at this meeting? (A) That definite promises have been made from both sides, and necessary that a definite answer now be given, so that this may not hold up matters at this time. See, there's an obligation on the part of others as well as on the part of [257] - though as has been given, [257] represents both sides of the proposition - but insist that these be gotten

8. (Q) What statement should be made to bring Grove to the final act of signing his desire to sell and statement he will sell? (A) That, that the body has made the proposition to dispose. This is only repeating just what has been given! There are obligations made on both sides. Just get them together!

9. (Q) What banker will be the final one with whom deal is handled? (A) As has been given, there has been one stipulated. This does not necessarily mean the ONLY one, but that one will, in a manner, dictate - no matter who this is handled through.

Let MCROBERTS, with [257], present proposition to the cereal company.
