Time of Reading 6:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.

1. [257]: [257] and conditions surrounding him in the deal of the Paris Medicine Co., with General McRoberts and Mr. Mann of the Zonite Co. There will be a meeting on Monday morning, at which time certain information will be given [257]. Will you kindly direct him as to his actions.

2. EC: Have same, then, pronounced and given in writing, as has been outlined for the body, that it may be presented to the proper sources and proper authorities for acceptance or rejection. Let it be reduced to that proportion and those conditions, and - as will be seen - this will be acted upon in a way that is commensurate with conditions that have been set. Do that.

3. (Q) Is there any further advice for the body [257]? (A) As has been outlined respecting these, do not attempt to pull five or six strings at once. Work one WELL, keeping others in background don't pull all at the same time!

4. (Q) Is it advisable for Mr. DeGrief, who is an expert on quinine matters, to meet general McRoberts? (A) Very good, but not in this special deal.

5. (Q) Should [257] telephone McRoberts on his arrival? (A) They have their appointment. Meet it at that time.

6. (Q) Should [257] make the trip to Nova Scotia to present it? (A) Why not have - as has been given - the body come to New York to accept or reject the proposition?

7. (Q) In reference [257] and [2597] trip to New York today, is it safe for [2597] to go to New York? [See 2597-7.] (A) Not overly safe.

8. (Q) What advice to [257] in reference to going to Asheville? [with Mr. [2597]] (A) This, as has been given, would be well at the proper time. Be very well if the trip to Asheville was made, but not for too long a period, until there is more strength and vitality - for we are dealing with conditions that have to do with heart BLOCK. A shock of any character might be INSTANTLY fatal.

9. (Q) Would it not be well then for [2597] to not go to

Asheville at all? (A) We must consider the man's abilities and the interest as entailed with same. WORRY would be just as bad as the other.

10. (Q) So, if [2597] goes on Thursday - returns to Virginia Beach [& Cayce Hospital] on Tuesday, and is not worried, it would be well? (A) This would be better. THEN the body may go to New York and make those arrangements as are necessary.
