1. EC: Yes, we have those conditions and those negotiations as are involving or interesting E. W. Grove, Jr., Isaac Lande, [257], the Zonite Company, and McRoberts and Lauterstein, and those conditions as surround these offers, transfers, and conditions. These, and much of these, we have had before. Many changes - but, ready for questions.
2. (Q) Were [257]'s negotiations with Grove rightly handled by [257] and Lande? (A) Very good.
3. (Q) What should [257]'s attitude be with Lauterstein in respect his participation in the profits? (A) These should be in the same attitude as has been outlined for the body. These have not changed materially. With the changing of the interests that have become interested, does not change the status quota of Lauterstein as regarding same!
4. (Q) How should [257] handle matter in future with Lauterstein? (A) In the manner in which the entity has been given instruction as TO the associations, but why cross these before reaching them? Handle this properly, and it will open the ways for others!
5. (Q) Should [257] discuss participation with Lauterstein at this time? (A) When closed yes.
6. (Q) As they are set, will the negotiations come to a successful close for all concerned? especially [257] and the Zonite Co. and Mr. Grove? (A) Eventually, they will come - as is set. There are many different interests that are to be considered. As has been given the body, the body should represent self, self's interests, the same as Grove's interests, so that - that same element of trust, confidence, may be kept, even in the close; for there are other conditions, other times and periods, when these may be associated in other changes as would come about. Well, then, that these be handled in the proper way and manner.

7. (Q) What shall be said to McRoberts at next meeting Thursday? (A) That the conditions, (those, so far as they have been) have been accepted, and the conditions are now ready for the necessary exchange of the interests as are to be set forth.
8. (Q) What shall be said at meeting Friday by Lande to McRoberts? (A) The same.
9. (Q) What should [257] say over the telephone to Mr. Grove on Friday, as to acceptance of his offer? (A) Tell what the conditions are! If they are to be accepted, accept! If they are to be rejected, reject! Take them AS they are! as the status quota really exists! Be not unmindful that these must be handled in an equitable manner to all concerned.
10. (Q) Advise [257] what work he has to do before all final papers are signed? (A) To make, as it were, the proper peace and relations between those offering and those accepting the terms.
11. (Q) Will [257] have to go to St. Louis? (A) As we find, he will.
12. (Q) When will Grove come to N.Y.? (A) When they are ready!
13. (Q) When will all papers be signed for final transfer of business? (A) This depends upon those interests as are seen in St. Louis, and as the negotiations go farther the necessary changes as will come about will cause some delays, but this need not hinder from these going forward with the proper papers and the proper conditions for the transfer and for the changes.
14. (Q) Are there any warnings for [257] to protect him in order that all conditions will come as advised by the Forces? (A) Keep in the way and manner as has been outlined. That's the warning, and that's the protection. Be sure that all things that are said are able to be met face to face, and be mindful of the speech, in that respect - so that when met in ANY condition or surrounding, they [the words] will mean as near that as is INTENDED to be meant by the body, as is possible. Let them not have one meaning in the eyes of McRoberts and another meaning in the mind of Grove, but being the go-between, to gather interests that are desirous of obtaining, and interest desirous of a change. Then, MEET them in the proper way.
15. (Q) What should [257] do in reference the commissions with Grove? (A) This has been dealt with, and should be handled in that way and manner.
16. (Q) How can he get him to agree on the full amount?
257-49 Page 3
(A) Through acting in the way and manner that the body knows that [257] is SINCERE, in that the interests are one.
17. (Q) Should any papers at all be signed immediately by Grove? (A) The acceptance.
18. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do that. That's plenty to do for the present! We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Datastician
