1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [257], present in this room, and his business associations; especially Edwin Grove, Paris Medicine Co., General McRoberts and other associates and associations of the body. You will answer the questions we will ask you regarding these.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257] - this we have had before, and many of the associations and relations. As respecting that of Paris Medicine Company, Edwin Grove, General McRoberts - these conditions, as we find, are much nearer to where definite conditions, definite situations and relations, will be established, and in the near future, as soon as convenient, there should be again the opening of the negotiations as between McRoberts' interests and those of the Paris Medicine Company. With the changed conditions and relations, these, as we find, SHOULD be brought to a satisfactory understanding and a most satisfactory termination. Then, open those relations and negotiations. Do that.

3. (Q) Should [257] do this or let McRoberts do it? (A) It's been given that through McRoberts - and McRoberts' interest - open the negotiations and relations.

4. (Q) Will [257] have reason to see Edwin Grove this summer? (A) Well, that would depend. There may be - through this negotiation, and these establishing of relations as connected WITH negotiations - the NECESSITY. Of course, it may be done OTHERWISE, if so desired.

5. (Q) Would [257]'s present contract be jeopardized in any way? (A) This is the status - that as held - there is no jeopardy. In the opening of other negotiations, should [257] open them, there IS! Should it be through someone else, there is NOT! This has been often told. Just heed that!

6. (Q) What should [257]'s attitude be in respect to all parties? (A) Not OVER anxious, but see that they get to work on it!

7. (Q) When should [257] see General McRoberts?

257-57 Page 2

(A) That's just been given! Just read that!

8. (Q) Is Mr. Grove enjoying good health now? (A) That has nothing to do with the deal, except unless there is the deal soon he will not enjoy it all!

9. (Q) Is there any other advice to warn [257] in the proper handling of this matter? (A) Do as has been given. Use that is in hand, PROPERLY! THEN more may be given!

10. (Q) As to general business conditions, what will be the general trend of the stock market during balance of May? (A) There will be, as has been seen and given the body [257], the various changes of the whip-sawing until stabilized, near the latter part or middle of coming month. Then a gradual upcline, see? that would be for sixty to ninety days.

11. (Q) What will happen to Radio-Victor? etc. (A) Be very good.

12. (Q) Will U.S. Steel - ? (A) Not very good - unless it could be bought outright, or two-thirds of it paid for!

13. (Q) Will Radio Victor - ? (A) No.

14. (Q) Should [257] sell them - ? (A) If he can.

15. (Q) What are his present possibilities? (A) Present possibilities in THIS line are very good.

16. (Q) Will he sell them cabinets, even though - ? (A) Sell them cabinets.

17. (Q) What will [257] now have to do to be able - ? (A) Just keep on working at it! This has BEEN outlined, as to how it should be handled in making those combines between those, and through whom these should be made, and how the combinations should be made - that hasn't been worked at all as yet, or passed over, or not paid any attention to! We are THROUGH with this portion of it!

18. (Q) When will Kolster Products reorganize for business? (A) In 31. That is, be STABILIZED then.

19. (Q) Will General Electric, Westinghouse, Graybar, Victor, be successful in present plan? (A) Eventually.

20. (Q) Will they be successful in 1930? (A) Not as the plan as referred to. In other conditions, yes - in the gradual consummation of the various changes and the interlocking workings of the organization; but as for the commercial outside, it'll be some time yet.

21. (Q) With present plans and set-up, will [257] this year sell as much as he sold last year?

257-57 Page 3

(A) ABOUT an equal amount.

22. (Q) Is [257] doing what is best in keeping his mind open and investigating various other propositions that come up? (A) Correct - but he should take up some of those that have been given!

23. (Q) In trying to do what he can, which one especially? (A) As regarding those as have been given!

24. (Q) Will the Miller-Weston proposed plan make a profitable and satisfactory connection? (A) Should. It's WORTHY - but this doesn't always mean that it will. It SHOULD, under the present conditions.

25. (Q) Is the Crescent factory a good factory to work with? (A) Very good.

26. (Q) Is it for best interest for [257] to insist on Ben Lauterstein's connection at the present time in the new outside propositions? (A) Well to request - NOT well to demand.

27. (Q) Does Lauterstein sincerely want to help [257] or is his attitude and interest same as in the Paris Medicine deal, and why? (A) This has been explained in the various workings of the mind of Lauterstein. OFTEN been changed and should be easily seen - if studied and applied. DON'T just look at the conditions from PURELY material! for the MENTAL is always the builder. The spiritual forces, or the spirit OF a condition works on in whichever direction it's worked - whether it's carrying one below or above!

28. (Q) Irving Isaacs wants to - ? (A) A very excellent one!

29. (Q) What is the interest that Isaacs - ? (A) A great deal more abilities to assist and aid than there has been in the past, and for quite different reasons - for there's been a good deal of mental development there, that even isn't shown in Lauterstein - though he's good.

30. (Q) How can [257] help Frank Isaacs now? (A) Let him alone!

31. (Q) Should [257] help Isaacs (Frank) go in business in Virginia Beach? (A) No.

32. (Q) [257] has organized a new company - (A) Be successful for the time. Then there will be necessarily needed other capital. This may be handled in other directions, but don't entangle self too much in same.

33. (Q) What name would be a winning name for the company? (A) This very one that's chosen would be very good.

34. (Q) In order to obtain the maximum success in its new venture, what general policy should the company adopt?

257-57 Page 4

(A) Much as that as has been outlined for each as has been associated with same, or is associated with same in the present - that give ever that that is equal to or better than is EVER demanded.

35. (Q) Would you advise the company to concentrate on one line or take on additional lines? (A) Concentrate on the one at present.

36. (Q) Would you advise any fundamental changes or additions to our present line, and if so, what? (A) No.

37. (Q) Is our present personnel adequate to take care of our territory? (A) At present, it is.

38. (Q) What is the general outlook for business for our particular type of merchandise during the coming year? (A) Very good as a whole. Be seasons of up's and down's, but beginning with that of the summer season - or in the central portion of same - July and August - the expansion of same will be good, and will be increased on through the latter portion of year, reaching the maximum for the present year during the first weeks of October.

39. (Q) [257] has been offered $13,000 for the [4159] home in ..., N.J. He has asked $17,500. Should he sell or - ? (A) Sell. [See widowed sister's rdg. 459-1, Par. 7-A, 8-A.]

40. (Q) At what price? (A) That that may be reached between give and take.

41. (Q) What must [257] do to further prepare - ? (A) There is nothing to be gained by attempting to make further preparations, other than to cause an entanglement in the organization of the peoples as were presented or represented by [4159] [Rabbi], see? The better would be to have the closer negotiations with the trustees of the congregation as respecting the settlement. Let THEM force the issue - and they will! for it's compensation, see - and they REPRESENTED - he REPRESENTED the congregation! The TRUSTEES can designate as to whether at the actual time the body was serving the congregation or NOT! That's the whole question. Let THEM designate, and if they will not - there's no use in making a fight! but THEY making the fight, in that he WAS of service and was serving - there's no question to be asked. Then go to the president of the Board and begin negotiations on that line, and let that be stated - that he was. Writee it out in the legal form and let them SIGN it, that he was!

42. (Q) Is his present attorney to be relied upon - ?

257-57 Page 5

(A) Not too good.

43. (Q) What can [257] do to protect himself, since he handled the case? (A) It's been told what to do! It'll force the issue even with him!

44. (Q) Will Turk [Solon Turk] - a friend of [459]'s [[4159]'s widow] - be of assistance? (A) It's been told how to work it! Work it that way!

45. (Q) Which of the applicants for position as assistant to Francis is the best? (A) This has already been told - from Richmond.

46. (Q) When should [257] go to Oklahoma to see Westheimer? (A) Latter part of June. 28th to 30th.

47. (Q) What is the best way to handle this deal, as a reorganization or a purchase, or a sale? (A) Reorganization for a sale.

48. (Q) Could he raise the capital through General McRoberts or through Emmanuels - ? (A) Through MCROBERTS would be the better, though it may be combined between the Emmanuels AND McRoberts LATER on - for they will find the interests will merge later on, when they each are seen as to what they amount to.

49. (Q) What oil companies - ? (A) These are very questionable - for they may CHANGE at any time, for these are in the position of SOME that show the biggest gains are under a cloud; while others that are in a position of re-organizing or re-combining with others. Oils, as a whole except GENERAL, or consolidated - as we find, will not be especially spectacular - as safe in, at least.

50. (Q) Should [257] and Cayce go to Texas? [Work:EC] (A) Be very good if it could be arranged - but I don't see how you would arrange it!

51. (Q) Can [257] handle this by himself, and then bring to Cayce? (A) POSSIBLY. There may be some changes - but don't promise too much!

52. (Q) Is there still money to be made for Cayce and Cayce Hospital from that field? (A) It could be possible. It's not improbable, but hardly possible IN the present status.

53. (Q) What can [257] do at the present time to further help the financial condition of Edgar Cayce and his family? (A) Don't be too hasty in any movements in that direction, but there are MANY channels through which assistance might be brought. Just as well to interest OTHERS who will interest themselves, as attempting to do it yourself, see?

54. We are through for the present.
