1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [257], present in this room. You will answer the questions which he will ask you regarding all his business associations and relations pertaining to the Paris Medicine Co. deal.
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [257] - this we have had before.
3. In the physical forces of the body - these are very good in many respects and manners. There should be some precautions as respecting the congestion that arises in throat and head, as WELL as that of the tendency of late of there rising, as it were, after eating, the gastric juices of the stomach, or heartburn that at times occurs. Do not over eat, nor do not under eat - but be more mindful of the warnings as respecting these.
4. As for those conditions in the head, throat - the head and neck exercise, or being more consistent in the treatments that may be taken for the clarification of this, will save a great deal of trouble later on.
5. Paris Medicine deal - in this association and relation there are new factors arising in the situation. Some of the old associations or connections - as has been given, as would figure in - are ready to NOW begin some of the matters as were left off, rather than being any other - but we would follow along those channels that will re-open the negotiations between those that have considered the taking hold of same - and this SHOULD, under the existent conditions, and the changes as are coming in the next thirty to sixty to ninety days, these have negotiations so set as to bring about a culmination of these exchanges, these conditions, that will clarify themselves. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Should I again go back to see Maurice Wertheim and on what basis? (A) This would be on the same character of basis as was discontinued, or as in the first, and these combined with
257-65 Page 2
those influences in which these are handled should open up for a proper reconsideration.
7. (Q) Is he the one referred to in the first part of the reading? (A) He and the associates - because there are others that will be brought back with this - these that were first considered.
8. (Q) Should I continue through Gen. McRoberts? (A) These will be combined in their efforts and forces.
9. (Q) Should Gen. McRoberts and [257] agree on a new basis between them? (A) When necessary this may be made, but not right in the PRESENT negotiations - but open them again on the present, see?
10. (Q) Will Zonite or Drug Inc. be best purchaser? (A) We would find that through Zonite, or through the associations with same, would be the best to purchase same. Or Drug, Inc. We would go back through the same channels, though, through Zonite.
11. (Q) Should I make the approach to Wertheim with the General or without the General? (A) Without the General, but with his consent and agreement.
12. (Q) When should I go to St. Louis? (A) By the 25th to 26th of April.
13. (Q) Who should I see first, and what is to be my approach? (A) Through those of the lawyers or bankers who have been holding, or who the approach has been through in the first. Some circumstances, some conditions will be found to be changed, to be sure - but these are the proper channels for the opening of the negotiations - see?
14. (Q) Will this affect my legal status in the first deal? (A) Should not affect the legal status.
15. (Q) What kind of a basis should I work out with Mr. Orr from the bank? (A) This necessarily will require some little time, but with the working out let Mr. Orr make the approaches FOR a proposition - see? Then these can be carried BACK to other associates and an equitable basis be worked out for same.
16. (Q) Is Mr. Orr in St. Louis, or is he still in Arizona? (A) Preparing to go back, but on the 25th or 26th he should be back - see?
17. (Q) How can Mr. Seely help in the present situation? (A) By making it easier with Orr.
18. (Q) When should I take it up with Mr. Seely? (A) This had best be done by either letter or conversation, and open these in the very near future - so that the hints or helps that come from these suggestions may be in the
257-65 Page 3
operation - see?
19. (Q) What group is Theo. Price of N. Y. working with since he is so anxious for figures? (A) This is an entirely outside group, but represents a very strong organization.
20. (Q) Should I approach him? (A) Rather give an opening for the approach from him. Do not make too strong a suggestion, but this will come as hints have been put out - these will aid in the opening, see?
21. (Q) I telephoned Mr. Price but he didn't call me back? (A) He hasn't forgotten it yet!
22. (Q) Shall I wait until he calls me? (A) Either wait until he calls, or accidently on purpose make the meeting or contact again - see?
23. (Q) Can Jefferson Seligman be of any assistance at the present time? (A) A little bit later. Not in this, but in some others.
24. (Q) Should I talk about the Cayce work to Seligman at this time? (A) Very soon. Rater give JUST enough to make questions be asked - see? Don't give so much that it OVERPOWERS the situations, for remember the age, the outlook, and the set conditions, and when the body storms know he is interested most.
25. (Q) Should I personally see E. F. Hutton or suggest to the General to see him? (A) Best to suggest the General.
26. (Q) Shall I go with the General? (A) Be well to. Of course, as to making the first appointments - these will be made by the General himself. Then when it's necessary, why they will be together.
27. (Q) What will be the final price? (A) This will depend a great deal upon the bankers in St. Louis. Hence the opening, or the propositions from there - see? These are not set, and there is a great deal of leeway or latitude to be made - but [257]'s interests will remain in too near the same figures - see? May be some shifting in stock or holdings, or exchange in the various conditions, yet in their whole will mean the same - or near.
28. (Q) Will the General expect a bigger part than he has requested from [257]? (A) No.
29. (Q) Will he get his commission from Zonite as before? (A) From Zonite as before.

257-65 Page 4

31. (Q) What will be the best plan for financing the company? (A) This depends a great deal upon the situations in general, and in a whole these will be financed through stock issues, through the various channels as has been heretofore - then some underwriting in specific places or conditions - see?
32. (Q) Who are the best bankers and group to work with in N.Y.? (A) Those channels through which this has been given are the best to work with.
