Time of Reading ... St., Apt. ..., 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body & enquiring mind - questions regarding mental and material affairs)

1. EC: Yes, we have those impressions of the body-consciousness, and those conditions as surround the mental and material body, [257] - this we have had before. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) In considering present conditions of country, give me exact plan to bring about sale of Paris Medicine Co? (A) As has been given as respecting this, there ARE channels through which were this carried - and there has been the indication to whom, through whom, these should be handled - this has not been complied with. Because there were some inconsistent attitudes taken as respecting the first mention of same, does not indicate that this may not be opened to that point where some basis for a handling of same may not be consummated; though, to be sure, in the present crisis this may NOT be handled wholly in the same channels as was first indicated; for fear has entered, yet the stress is in more than one direction, and even in THOSE surroundings, while this would change many of those agreements and understandings, yet this might be negotiated - with patience and work.

3. (Q) Through what channels should [257] go now to consummate the deal? (A) Either one. 4 (Q) How long will it take to consummate so [257] can get money? (A) Depends upon which one, which channel, which activities are set in motion.

5. (Q) Why hasn't the deal gone thru as Forces suggested it would? (A) The change in the status-quota of conditions, or financial situations of the country, is the one cause. The change in the attitudes of individuals as respecting the activities in various groups interested; inactivity as respecting that last one to whom or through whom interest

257-75 Page 2

was to be made or aroused again.

6. (Q) Advise my next move, and with whom? (A) This has already been outlined. The move hasn't been made yet!

7. (Q) What should [257] say when he approaches E. F. Hutton? (A) This isn't the one to whom that the most may be obtained, but in approaching - or should this be approached through these channels, then find first an equitable basis upon which some consideration may be made as respecting same - see?

8. (Q) How can I get Gen. McRoberts to act promptly to aid me? (A) That depends entirely, too, upon which ONE of these channels the activities would be carried to. In the one with Hutton, this would be rather that of holding back in the first portion, and yet once AROUSING the interest would be carried on to a consummation. Through the other channel, is that these are to be made - as it were - an access for the associations OF others WITH this direct channel - see?

9. (Q) What is condition of Edwin Grove's health? (A) We have the medicine company, not Edwin Grove's health!

10. (Q) Who is proper person to see in St. Louis on Paris Medicine deal? (A) This has already been given, that it is necessary to go through these bankers.

11. (Q) What would happen to [257] if Grove should pass away? (A) That has nothing to do with [257]. As far as the deal is concerned, would be left out - unless it was considered by those of the estate as to the manner in which disposition would be made of same; for the contract is a contract, and should be considered.

12. (Q) Would I be successful in charge of the business? (A) Be successful.

13. (Q) When should [257] consider becoming affiliated with it? (A) When conditions are proper.

14. (Q) What combination or merger would be best for Paris Medicine Co. for quick sale? (A) Just in the present situation there are not MANY to be considered, unless there would be an expansion to many various things that are of only kindred nature - then these may be considered.

15. (Q) Will I be compelled to bring suit to get my commission from Paris Medicine Co? (A) That depends, upon the circumstances and conditions, and the activities of the body. There are many questions in the negotiations that, while they are BINDING in some directions, yet there are many loopholes open in same also.

16. (Q) What steps should I take to protect my rights, if any?

257-75 Page 3

(A) None in the present, unless there's some move made!

17. (Q) What should be said to Mr. Orr when I go to St. Louis? (A) Depends upon which way, and the manner in which the approach is to be. Through whom, for whom, and what about!

18. (Q) When should I go, to best advantage of deal? (A) When you HAVE a deal!

19. (Q) What medicine company needs Paris Medicine Co. merger for its earnings? (A) None particularly, in the present. These may be combined with many of even the larger concerns, that are getting more and more to those of the activities - Warner in Memphis would be very well to consider. This is also portion of another, but through its combination.

20. (Q) How could [257] increase the earnings of Paris Medicine Co.? (A) Greater distribution.

21. (Q) Who is best banker or lawyer in N. Y. to help and advise [257] on this deal? (A) He already has one! Why change?

22. (Q) What shall [257] now say to Bulova reference the Chronogram development, to get the manufacturing to begin? (A) There's necessarily the wait for the whole development, as to the decision by Bulova, as to whether this is the time and the proper manner in which to put such a commodity on the market. Also as to whether which of the ways as has been outlined, or as has been suggested, is to be chosen as an outlet for same. The natural inclination, as has been, to be of more of a conservative nature, or appealing to a different clientele, or different line of distribution entirely. Now, whether these are to be broken to go into a broader field, and these are to be taken up in this definite way and manner, has to be decided by Bulova himself.

23. (Q) Advise me how to aid my mother to live many years in health and happiness. [GD's note: Par. 23-A--31-A below have been included in Reports in his mother's reading, 325-39.] (A) Keep those suggestions, and aiding in bringing about those things that prevent the worriment of those conditions that cause this unrest or distress to the body. These may be done best by the little courtesies and considerations as may be shown in the various ways and manners.

24. (Q) Does body need Radium treatment for breast condition? (A) We do not find so. Too severe would be in the present. The increase in the ash, with those of the ultra-violet, taken properly, has stayed the conditions - and is the best elements FOR staying same.

25. (Q) To what should the dose be increased, or in what manner? (A) Heavier dose just before that of the treatment given.

257-75 Page 4

26. (Q) Has condition of breast progressed to detriment of body? (A) It's always been a detriment, to be sure, but the progress has been very slow, and only when there were worriements, or the breaking down of tissue by the lack of keeping the proper precautions, has there been detrimental advancement of the condition.

27. (Q) What will stop her cough? (A) That that will remove the pressure. That will remove the pressure by those treatments and those active forces in the system as related to same, as has been outlined for the body.

28. (Q) What tonic is best for body? (A) This has been given.

29. (Q) Can the condition of the breast be permanently stopped? (A) This has been given so often, that these SHOULD be open to those considering same. It is progressive in its nature, as it is tumorous in its activity. Unless there can be that which would destroy the tissue itself - see?

30. (Q) Should body travel at all? (A) When it so desires, it may.

31. (Q) Would a visit with [daughter 459] be helpful? (A) If it so chooses.

32. (Q) What manner best adapted to bring Norman Alderdyce into the work of Edgar Cayce? (A) Through the channels through which this is being attempted to be done.

33. (Q) Would Alderdyce Senior be able to get money for Atlantic University? (A) We haven't this association with [257] or with Alderdyce at present.

34. (Q) How shall I proceed to get Torridaire stock promised? (A) Through the channel as has been opened for same.

35. (Q) Who should I see first? (A) The attorneys.

36. (Q) In what way should Ike Lande help me get the stock? (A) See that it's issued!

37. (Q) What should my new contract with Lande contain on [459] - [257] stock, and what guarantees should I get? (A) Same as has been heretofore.

38. (Q) Is the insurance policy sufficient guarantee for [257] to hold? (A) Sufficient in the present, yes.

39. (Q) What merit is there to the hosiery clocking machine? (A) There are periods when this will be a very meritorious activity. Just as there are changes from periods to periods, so will the activities of such a machine, and the abilities to deliver in the various ways and manners, be

257-75 Page 5

most helpful - see?

40. (Q) What would be the proper set-up for newly financed company? (A) That should be in accord with good business, good judgement, and understanding of the conditions and situations as are existent with the various hosiery companies that might be interested, or would be interested in same.

41. (Q) Who would be best individual in N.Y. to finance proposition at once? (A) One that's interested in that type of investment, that expects to make same in the next two years, or three years, and then be through with it.

42. (Q) What will be most valuable field for these machines? (A) Where these that are products, or where the products of the machine are the most acceptable to the public.

43. (Q) Reference Lauterstein, what are his present feelings to me, since Saturday's telephone call? (A) These are in about the same manner as has been in the past, as respecting the GENERAL conditions. As respecting the INDIVIDUAL activity and association of same, these are rather of the expectant nature. No definite decisions, or definite way of meeting, or of approach, as yet set out.

44. (Q) Have I handled my affairs as Forces advised during past few weeks with Lauterstein? (A) These have been very good.

45. (Q) What should I say to Lauterstein on next meeting as to our future associations? (A) That depends upon circumstances and conditions under which the next meeting is called; for in itself it should make for that which will be the word to say.

46. (Q) Should I follow Lauterstein's advice and devote most of time to Pittsburgh Chemical Corp. affairs and to selling its product? (A) As has been outlined, there is one of the propositions that needs the IMMEDIATE attention, and get it out of the way - or get it to making something! While the Pittsburgh Chemical will require a CONTINUED study and activity, while the other - ONCE set - is a PRODUCING thing, WITHOUT any material activities on the part of the body! But where production and distribution are a part of the labors of the body, it means a continued activity. If the body chooses to set in this direction, this is all very good.

47. (Q) What basis should I work for the Pittsburgh Chem. Corp? (A) Rather say where you are going to work first! and then we would be considering - This is too far a leap in the dark! You are not really seriously considering it. Then why ask through THESE channels for a way to approach?
