1. GC: You will have before you the body & enquiring mind of [257], who is at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, Ill., and you will answer the questions he has submitted concerning his mental and material affairs.

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [257] - this we have had before, in many of the changes that have come about, and are coming about. Will there be seen in same a clarification of the consciousness of the body, of those things that so easily beset, then there may be an awakening that will bring that as has long been sought; at times partially, at others wholeheartedly.

3. Ready for question.

4. (Q) Please advise me whether I would be most successful by becoming a partner with I. S. Gaines, President of the Saginaw Furniture Shops - and who owns factories in Michigan, or with the owners of the Carolina Wood Products Co., or with the present associates - who are the receivers of Chicago Title & Trust Co. (A) As we find, there have been associations in a mental manner with Gaines, yet there have been the needs for those carrying-ons or developments for both, and in the present these would make for the better association in carrying on that part of the work that is of the nature of the woods, or the metal and woods products, that the body would be associated with.

5. (Q) Would Gaines be able to finance the operations of Carolina Wood Product Corp., for and with me, and be able to take over company from present owners? (A) That as the attitude that has been assumed by self too often, that the other fellow to do in the actuality and self only in work, labor, or the like. With the combined EFFORTS, in a COOPERATIVE manner, this might be accomplished - but the associations would be well. GOOD for all.

6. (Q) Why did Gaines want me associated with him?

257-79 Page 2

(A) The mutual associations would be well.

7. (Q) Why did the Forces advise me not to join Gaines in 1927? (A) It wasn't the right time!

8. (Q) Will I be able to work harmoniously with Gaines in every way? (A) Provided it is a cooperative and not one expect the other to bring something that is not agreed upon! It should be COOPERATIVE, or each give and take.

9. (Q) Will I get a 100% square deal from Gaines? (A) If it's given! What is given will be received!

10. (Q) Could or should I take over Carolina by myself and run it without a partner? (A) If you have the money!

11. (Q) How could I finance myself until orders begin to be shipped? (A) Be very unwise to undertake it, under the present situation and condition.

12. (Q) Will I be able to get the Stewart-Warner of Chicago business at once? (A) No. Portion of it, will.

13. (Q) What is best procedure for me to insure getting the business? (A) On the line that has been laid out.

14. (Q) Who will be the best man in the organization for me to work thru? (A) Through that one that's already been laid out.

15. (Q) What shall I do or say on meeting Mr. Smith, the President? (A) Same line that has been laid out.

16. (Q) What is best approach to Mr. Zucker? (A) Same line that's already been laid out. All these have been given, in the various approaches to individuals, that that makes for the ability of a body to meet the various situations. When their ideals or purposes, or aims, are set aright, is as the development of an individual - and SHOULD NOT be pointed in each individual case, or else the body loses its own individuality; and PERSONALITY is certainly something NOT to be paraded or boasted of! Well to have, and necessary! if used properly! WITHOUT INDIVIDUALITY, you are nothing!
