Time of Reading 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Body & enquiring mind, associates, associations, etc.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257] - this we have had before; also many business and material associations.
2. In the physical forces of the body, these we find somewhat better than when last we had same here. There is more ability for relaxation, and those conditions that are affected by such tautness show that this mental and physical relaxation has been beneficial. If these are kept in more accord with that as outlined for the body, these should keep the body more physically fit.
3. In the spiritual and mental relationships, these - as we find - the body is on the right track; yet, as will be found necessary, be as persistent in keeping those appointments with self as the body mentally or physically is desirous of gaining the good that may come from such continued actions on the part of self; for these are compliances more and more with spiritual and natural laws. Do not allow self, or the activities in this direction, to become mere rote or routine; for one will not find lest they seek, nor will one have the door open lest they expect same. As has been given, when such periods come, be consistent and as persistent as results are desired; for these will gradually bring those periods when in the meditation, while secular things may present themselves to the physical-mental, then when the answer is yes or no present same the second time - not to the mental being; rather ask the spirit; for "Will ye be my people, I will be your God" saith the Lord of hosts! Keep, then, that thou hast vowed unto thy God, to thyself, to thy neighbor.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Give body principle to follow for daily meditation as advised, so he will know how to do it. (A) As has been given, when thou prayest enter into thine chamber, relax the physical body, repeat - not as rote, but as sincerity:
257-87 Page 2
LET THAT BE MY ATTITUDE THAT THOU WOULD HAVE IT BE! MAY MY THOUGHTS, MY ACTS, BE IN ACCORD WITH THE USE THOU WOULD HAVE OF ME! This repeat every few seconds for the first fifteen minute period. Then, if the body loses consciousness - all the better.
6. (Q) Reclining or sitting? (A) Reclining will be the better, especially in the beginning. Shut out everything else as far as possible. This will be more and more possible as this is made in the inner being, to USE ME AS THOU SEEST FIT, NOT AS I WOULD - AS THOU WOULD HAVE ME GO! Then, when there are presented those various contacts and associations, as was said of old, in the selfsame hour will there be given thee what should be said or done - but obtain this as from Him. The body then grows, physically, mentally, spiritually. The law is sure, the world may pass away - as He has given, "but my word, my promise, will NOT pass away!"
7. (Q) What should body do to correct conditions in teeth, so no recurrence of trouble will take place? (A) Do that as is necessary as the emergencies arise, and - as has been given - as there IS the proper reaction from the correcting of the diet, that there is the proper assimilation and balance kept in the physical body, these will care for themselves.
8. (Q) What will cleanse this cavity in the upper teeth? (A) Laudanum and aconite used in the roots, adding iodine occasionally with same. This will be done locally, of course.
9. (Q) What proportion? (A) Fifty-fifty.
10. (Q) Regarding Paris Medicine Co. of St. Louis, Mo., please advise body what to do to bring about the proper condition to see the final sale consummated? (A) This we have had before. In the present status of conditions, as compared to that which has existed in some times past, this would appear on the surface to be almost a hopeless proposition, were there not many changes in the attitudes of individuals who have been interested or involved in such conclusions. However, as we find, there are some channels that are seeking such consolidations, or cooperative consolidations, that would be interested in the acquiring of such holdings; not only as an aid but rather as a nucleus about which other propositions might also be brought at this time. There are also changes in the mental
257-87 Page 3
and physical aspects of many that are involved in the transfer of such holdings of Paris Medicine Company, for the fear that has entered in, in the acquiring of properties for the manufacture and distribution of such products, is to be more and more affected by taxes and the international transfer, or the tariffs that are being involved. So, there would be, in the next six to eighteen months, a period where there might be the better opportunity for [257], who - seeing, knowing these situations - could bring about an exchange of associations and ideas that would make a consummation of such an exchange or sale. In those various groups that have been interested, both from the buyers' end and those that would sell - there have been some conditions that make for a portion of the buyer end an impossibility of their carrying on, yet associates - and those interested with them in other holdings - may be interested, as well as using the situations in the selling end for a consummation.
11. (Q) What companies should we use as a basis for the beginning of this amalgamation? (A) Those who are seeking to make a united effort in consolidation of such products that may be distributed directly to the public. As we would find, these would require something of a combination of outside influence with some already established in such a distribution, as the National Products, as the United Drugs, or like distributors.
12. (Q) Would Lehn & Fink be one of them? (A) Rather those that hold the greater portion of this stock, or McKesson - these are well. While these are at an advarience one with another, McKesson & Robbins would be well to consider - they own the greater portion of Lehn & Fink!
13. (Q) Who would be the man in McKesson & Robbins to work with? (A) This would rather be through the regular representatives, for the opening up of negotiations. These may be sought out.
14. (Q) Has he contacted proper people in Cowan & Denzer Advertising Agency, 25 E. 45th St., N.Y.? (A) Those to whom this may LEAD would rather be the proper type of people. This is not discounting the abilities of Cowan's, or of their field of endeavor, but the NEWNESS in some respects, the lack of the broader vision in others, would be that hindrance - yet THROUGH these, as we find, the greater expanses may be had.
257-87 Page 4
15. (Q) What advice for my associate Albert Haase, who is handling matter? (for branded products) (A) That there be that approach to the legal end, or phase, of McKesson - and also of National Products.
16. (Q) What advantage in seeing Lee Bristol? (A) Be well for the contact, and the use or the advantages that may be had in this direction as conditions develop.
17. (Q) What can Fred Seely do now to cause deal to be made? (A) This, as we find, would be of greater advantage as there is reached rather that condition when there is the consideration for the advantages in the contacts necessary for the manufacture and distribution, under a little different environ.
18. (Q) Can Fred Seely control the deal through his wife? (A) At this time and for several months he will be able to.
19. (Q) What might change that condition? (A) Some relationships that have to do with others that are involved in same.
20. (Q) What is the condition of Edwin Grove's health now? Will that affect it? (A) To an advantage, if any effect.
21. (Q) How much can the business be sold for? (A) As the proportions as has been given, that multiply the net income - or gross income - from a period to a period - by ten, and these will give something like that it may be sold for.
22. (Q) Cash and stock, or cash? (A) Cash, or cash and stock. This may be worked with the proper conditions both ways, and concessions made in the various channels. This would involve that condition which has been referred to, as to where and when Seely would be of the greater advantage for not only as a manufacturer but as a financial advisor in some directions, see?
23. (Q) Where would Seely's business ability be to the best advantage? (A) Both in the concessions that may be obtained through his efforts in the restrictions in distribution of products necessary to be shipped IN, as well as in the manner of distribution of products as manufactured. Don't confuse these! The product that is made requires the shipping IN or products outside of the country, see? Here the efforts and abilities of Seely may be used to advantage, for the CONCESSIONS that may be made by that upon which has been builded much of the product itself, as an advantage to a public in a general manner wherein concessions may be made. There are plans to set these at naught. Hence conditions
257-87 Page 5
may be taken advantage of. Also there are activities of the body, and abilities, as to the various distribution points in the disposing of the product.
24. (Q) Will new management of Paris Medicine be a hindrance? (A) Rather an advantage, after a very short while.
25. (Q) Will Goldsmith be successful in his present plans? (A) To a point, and then not so well.
26. (Q) How can [257] be of assistance to the new plan? (A) Reaching out for those to whom it may be taken.
27. (Q) Should he endeavor to do that at once? (A) When there have been those connections made through that representative to those outlined. Go back and read what we have just given!
28. (Q) What arguments should [257] use with Isaac Orr of St. Louis to put the deal over? (A) When there have been made those proper connections, and a proper set-up that would be effective through those channels as suggested in either direction, then there will be given - that is, if the body will follow very closely that which has been outlined - as to how to apply himself, that that should be said, or the circumstances and conditions will so have SET themselves that - what may be termed from some - common JUDGEMENT would direct the situations, see? or, to be viewed from that as SOME would see, the little brownies come along and tell him what to do! or, as may be viewed from another, there is GIVEN that comparison within self and associates as to how to meet the situation.
29. (Q) Will Gen. McRoberts be necessary in present deal we are working on? (A) He should not be left out, but rather kept as one that would make for a balance in WHATEVER direction it would be necessary for this to be used in.
30. (Q) When shall we discuss the matter with Gen. McRoberts? (A) When there is the time ready for a definite proposition to be set up.
31. (Q) What month, considering world and market conditions, will deal be closed and moneys paid? (A) This too far ahead, and too MANY changes to set date or time - but work on these, and we will go farther with it.
32. (Q) When should we begin working on it, astrologically? (A) There's already been things set in motion. These, as we find, will show the greatest period of culmination in August, or first of September.
33. (Q) Is there any individual steps that [257] should know in addition, so as not to make any mistakes? (A) Prepare self much in the manner as has been given, and
257-87 Page 6
move along in those ways, opening up those channels as outlined. Do that.
34. (Q) In what way would Isaac Lande be of assistance? (A) There will be rather counsel, as we find here, from many of those or some of those - and later more that will be as CONSULTING with, rather than any special condition or place to be filled in the immediate time. As it advances, then this may be necessary - or not necessary to be used, other than as an advisory capacity.
35. (Q) Why does Lande keep putting [257] off? (A) Inability to make those connections that will allow this to be done.
36. (Q) Will he be successful on Monday, as he promises now? (A) Much nearer to it than he has been before, and be partially ready at least.
37. (Q) Should [257] do anything to insist on getting this money at once? (A) Press it, but not in a manner as to cause any criticism from Lande for the SLOWNESS, see? but be rather insistent.
38. (Q) Should I go to his firm and discuss the matter? (A) Better with him, and firm when he agrees to it!
39. (Q) Is there any danger which exists to this money, considering the insurance policy and contract? (A) No real danger, other than delays.
40. (Q) Is the principal fully protected? (A) Protected.
41. (Q) What has happened to Edwin Grove Jr. in connection with the affairs of the Paris Medicine Co? (A) The activities on the part of some in association with, that the desires of the body have been interfered with - and, as it may be termed, the Grove temper is asserting itself!
42. (Q) Where is he now, should I want to approach him? (A) He's abroad right now!
43. (Q) Is there any address I could write him? (A) The Riviera.
44. (Q) Is that all that's necessary? (A) That's all necessary right now.
45. (Q) How long will he be there? (A) Three to five weeks, though this may be changed, of course, then - but there'll be plenty of time.
46. (Q) Reference the sale finally, what will Grove's attitude be - considering present affairs? (A) This is going over and over, and around and around with the same thing! Carry these things to the position where there may be a proposition presented, and it will be carried through!
257-87 Page 7
47. (Q) Reference chance meeting of [257] with [900] in Washington, D.C., how did it happen, and give [900] reaction to same? (A) This was as an opportunity for each to manifest that which has been claimed by each in reference to THEIR action in relations of one to another. These activities are but the NATURAL reactions that must come from those various associations that have builded much in the hearts, minds, even the souls, of each. These they must conduct on their OWN idea of an ideal. [See 900-465.]
48. (Q) Should [257] have taken any other attitude than he took? (A) This should be answered in self, as to what is the ideal of thy relationship to thy brother. This one, [257], and every other one, should know - he that approaches the Throne of mercy, and knowing the brother has aught against him, can only rise to that attitude as held in relationship to that as the ideal. Or, as has been given by Him on the Mount, he that has aught against his brother and brings his sacrifice to the altar, FIRST leave the sacrifice and make amends with thy brother - THEN may thy sacrifice be acceptable unto Him that is the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. [Mat. 5:23--24]
49. (Q) On Washington trip, reference the Kahnstant Kooler - what should the next move be to get a successful start in Washington? (A) Follow up that which has been set in motion, in the manner as in keeping with GOOD business, and these will be carried to a successful - ending? Not an ending, but an OPENING for LARGER, better associations, in not only this particular field but others that will arise from time to time, that may be used in the same manner, or be presented in the same manner and through the same channels. Even as was given at the burning bush, use that thou hast in hand - and, as that is used properly, there will be given that which will lead on to higher and better things. [Ex. 3:2; 4:2]
