Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C. (Body & enquiring mind, seeking further information, advice and guidance, as to his mental and material welfare. Questions.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257], and those conditions in the mental and material affairs of the body.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Considering my former advice and associations, has my waiting to carry out Forces' instructions been a detriment or benefit, as to clearing my personal business of worries through bankruptcy? (A) As we find, this has been rather a detriment; because that activity which becomes necessary in the affairs of the individual makes for such mental unpreparedness, as it were, or unstability in the activity of an individual, as to prevent the best from being put forward. In considering all conditions that exist in the present, while the associations that have been made through the delaying of clearing self from those obligations (that have become worriments all along) have in some respects made for better understandings, in some directions; the delay has - as we find worked for a detriment to the better mental and physical welfare of the body. These things, then, are to be taken rather as a whole. While entering into bankruptcy, as we find, will make for the conditions in some directions to be still worriments for the time being, and it will be necessary that the position of the entity or body-mind be classed as inactive at the present or for the time being, if the conditions are handled properly through those legal channels through which such action must take its course, such proceedings will not work (save for a very short period) to the detriment in ANY manner to the body, but rather make for the ability to feel, to know, there is the FREEDOM of activity in such a way that
257-110 Page 2
would make for better conditions in every manner.
4. (Q) What effect on my future standing in the commercial world would a complete bankruptcy have in the month of June, 1933? (A) This act does not prevent an individual from meeting and arranging (after passing through such procedure) all obligations that are just and right. And, as we find, other than making - as suggested - rather a standstill in the activity for a short period, there would not be ANY hindrance in the commercial field or commercial activities of the body! And WE would give that such action should be taken at this period, that all those things that may be taken advantage of - as the changes are coming about - may be had.
5. (Q) Please give month and day best to file petition, and from what address. (A) It is necessary that this require those activities through the channels in which this is to be carried on, from the LEGAL transaction - see? from those that are to handle same; and, as we find, this had best be set by whichever one of the legal representatives is chosen - as to the address, time and date for filing same.
6. (Q) With what firm of attorneys is it best to work this; Olvany-Eisner firm or Wm. DeLacy? (A) Olvany would be the better, as we find; for these have those associations and connections that would be the most beneficial, when considered from all angles.
7. (Q) Please advise what I should do to properly prepare for it? (A) All conditions of whatsoever nature and character should be presented to the legal representative, that there may be no questions arising as to the validity of all things included in, and all positions in which the body is interested - see?
8. (Q) Is it now the honorable thing for me not to go through the bankruptcy court? (A) Under the circumstances, all things considered, not to go through with it would be doing an injustice to self's abilities, to self's position, to self's family and relations.
9. (Q) How would I feel ten years later, better or worse, if I do not go through the bankruptcy proceedings but fight the thing through to the time when I can settle up in full? (A) Such proceedings do not hinder anyone, as we find, from settling in full ANY claim the body may desire to settle; but prevents those who are aggravating - and who are producing all the worry and dissension - from FORCING issues, when the body is even MENTALLY UNFIT to meet all of
257-110 Page 3
them, with the worries that arise! Hence we will find, as we find here, that ten years would merely mean - without going through the proceedings - that the body would be broken in spirit, broken in ability, and still there would be the haggling over many of the things that would accumulate. On the other hand, with taking the time to go through the court (while it would appear that in some quarters unkind things might be said), the body would not be prevented from setting an ideal and hewing to the line of right and justice and doing the proper thing in EVERY quarter! [GD's note: 10/15/64 Mr. [257] told me: "I never accepted the advice - continued in business - paid everyone in full - kept my name as my father and mother before me did - CLEAN."]
10. (Q) Considering present conditions, is this a safe time to invest in stocks on the big boards? (A) We do not find it such; for while there will be through the month of June considerable activities in certain commodities, grains, and various conditions that go to make up market changes, and considerable change in many of the models - as in steel, and copper, as well as in various other industrial activities, these do not offer a good time to invest for speculative interests - in which an individual is dependent upon such speculation being positive. If one has sufficient capital to take chances on it being thrown away, this would be a very good time.
11. (Q) What stock could I buy to make a quick substantial turn to help present conditions? (A) We would not advise speculations at this time, as indicated.
12. (Q) Is the [257] Corp. in position now to sell the 10,000 units as set by the Forces as the number to sell in 1933? (A) Would it not be better for a clarification of [257], before there is the very DEFINITE end taken in this direction? While there will be activities in those of associates and connections during the period of change and transition, the activities of body itself will be MUCH better mentally and physically - if the body will go into almost absolute retirement from activity personally, during the two to three weeks necessary for these changes to come about, save through that which may be accomplished in the directing of others in various quarters.

13. (Q) Where largest possibility for [bro.-in-law] [1565] to make the quickest sales for large sales? (A) This is rather a contradictory position, unless it is considered as to what are to be the channels in which the activities are to be engaged in by [1565]. As we find, those centers where changes are to be made most, would include - rather than the eastern or northern and western - the central and northern southern portions of the country; as in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and the like.
14. (Q) Will I get order from Wright's field, Dayton, Ohio, for 21 coolers, from Lieut. Holland? (A) As we find, this has already been placed.
15. (Q) Why hasn't order come through, as promised by Daniels on dyeing of uniforms for reforestation? (A) Because there has been, as we find, some hitch in the manner in which these were to be handled; but this will, as we find, be consummated - and may be handled.
16. (Q) What is outlook for June, July and August business, considering conditions of country, and number of units required each month? (A) There will be an advancement in all fields of activity, of which this organization - and associations and connections of the body may enjoy its portion.
