Time of Reading Rm. 1904, 3:40 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body & enquiring mind, in regard to his mental & material well-being. Questions.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257], and those conditions circumstances, that surround the body in the mental and material things.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) What was the result of Mr. Gilbert's visit with Mr. Mandle? [In re [900] & [137] & [3734] suit?] (A) This, as we find, while leading towards definite understandings, is still very unsatisfactory. As to what is to be the result depends upon how well the impression is that the conditions are of a hopeless nature. Yet there is still the decision that it can be forced. As to the results, then, they are negligible as yet, as we find.
4. (Q) Please describe the faces of those whom I could not call by name, yet with whom I was dealing, and tell me what the advice or warnings were in my dream at 3:00 A. M. Monday, 6/12/33. Why was K. [Julius Kahn?] trying to smother or chloroform me? What has he to do with me? Why was he in the picture at all? Why did I handcuff him? Why did I attack him physically afterwards and give him a thrashing? Is all this for warning or from an overtired brain? Who else figured with me in all these mix-ups and why? Please give detailed significance and advice. (A) These, as we find, are not of necessity a portion of the warning; nor are they of the nature of a warning. Rather the presenting of conditions in the experience of self in relationships to the individuals that were the principals in that visioned. Those faces seen represent rather a condition than individuals. For, there were the attempts on the part of the principals to make for an unsympathetic reaction to the body of self; or an urge in that direction to prevent the reactions or activities of the body. Then there were the resultant activities in self to repel. This is as one given in those suggestions as to the associations of individuals when, and before, this
257-111 Page 2
connection was made; that there should be the satisfying of self as to the ability of the individuals to fulfill- through their offices - their portions of agreements, and that there should be on the part of self the meeting of all requirements for the fulfilling of self's own part of agreement. These having been only completed in part, and not wholly satisfactory to body, the conditions in the present that arise are the inefficiency in part, the inability in part of others to supply the products in the manner and way that has been understood; yes, understood - but so set in such a way and manner as to not to be compulsory on the part of either of the principals! Hence the conditions that have arisen. And the vision is rather the presenting of the facts as they exist, rather than a warning, were they reduced to physical - PHYSICAL - manifestation, see? This is not understood by self here. That is, the vision is a representation - in a manifested form, were it reduced physically, to the existent conditions that are between the principals in that visioned. The cause is as we have outlined. The correction is to get all of these portions straight; for the abilities are there - in both parties, see?
5. (Q) In regard to Monday meeting in N.Y., [with lawyers in re lawsuit?] should I consider #1 or #2 plan for immediate adoption? That is, (#1) settlement of about 2% with a stock promise to all creditors or (#2) complete bankruptcy? (A) These have been presented in so many ways and manners that it seems unnecessary to reiterate that which has already been given. To accept #1 on a settlement of an interest in, through stock issuance, will continue to make the continual nagging, the continual attempt to delve into all the activities, and will continue to keep the body in hot water. The conditions in complete bankruptcy are to self a very unsatisfactory way and manner, but unless they may be settled without strings tied in such a way, as we find these would be the better.
6. (Q) Considering attitude of LeRoy Mandle, [3734]'s atty., 36 W. 44th St., N.Y., for what further attacks by Mandle should I prepare myself? (A) The delving into all the connections, all the associations, all the activities in every field of endeavor. For, he will continue to nag until there is some definite
257-111 Page 3
settlement made. Either make it on the basis of this is this and it's done forever, or make it so there is no reaction from behind in any way!
7. (Q) Could Mandle do me any further injustice or harm after petition is filed? (A) If filed properly, and as given. If this is the decision, and the correct proposals are set up - Make all connections, all conditions in ORDER, see? Then file petition as soon as all are in readiness, if that is the decision! It's not that desired, but to make settlements in other directions and have strings to them would be very bad.
8. (Q) From what address should petition be filed - office or home - for least publicity? (A) There will be little publicity to such in either way! Only file in such a way and manner that there may be no questioning, either from government authorities or from any that the petitions affect.
9. (Q) What day of week best to file same? (A) As soon as it is absolutely ready! It doesn't matter about the week or day either!
10. (Q) What further embarrassment will I receive from income tax people, caused by [3734] and the priest? (A) Depends upon what is the attitude! If it's taken through the bankruptcy, that ends it also - see?
11. (Q) How long will it take to be discharged from bankruptcy on present plan? (A) Thirty to forty days.
12. (Q) Should meeting be called first of creditors, or file petition first and then call meeting of creditors for final settlement? (A) That should be the decision as to what is best. This is dependent upon what type of bankruptcy proceedings, which should be advised from the attorneys' standpoint, according to the law that governs same, see?
13. (Q) Where can I make the quickest turn to make money for needs of my own and Cayce family? (A) In any of those connections or associations, which would have little or nothing to do with the proceedings as to the filing of petitions. These channels that have been opened, that are opened, may be carried on through - see? Not in speculative; rather the actual activities. These are saner; these are safer.
14. (Q) Considering that I will follow the full plan and make a new start, please given resume now of my future success, giving the things to which I should attend first - (A) Attend first to that in the hand at the present; for remember - throughout those periods when there is the
257-111 Page 4
adjustment - there should be the rest period by self, mentally and physically - see? Let this first be set. If that is the decision, that it is to be filed, then rest that period. During THAT period may there be given that outline, manner and way which would be better - but don't reach those before it is the proper time; for it would then be hindering the very attempts that are being made to clarify self - see? It is well for every individual to always be prepared, but there may be such a preparedness as to cause so much animosity, so much curiosity, so much activity, as to cause criticism and even suspicions that become destructive to all in their activities. This will apply in life in any of its phases, and especially in business relations.
15. (Q) Who is the soundest and best advisor among the lawyers I now have? (A) The Olvany company.
16. (Q) Should I include the assets of Kentucky estates, or leave them where they are in the company to which they belong? (A) They should be left in the company to which they belong, UNLESS they have already been filed against - and they have been looked up, to be sure!
17. (Q) How about Wood & Metal Corp.? (A) It's the same. If they are clear, leave them where they are.
18. (Q) Should I include indebtedness of Cayce Hospital as endorsed to Definite Contract Co. of Norfolk by me? (A) This should be included.
19. (Q) How much of an asset is it? (A) It's a liability, not an asset!
20. (Q) How can Paris Medicine claim be further protected from attack? (A) Let it be included, if it is so desired - or is attacked; for, as we have given, unless it was closed at the time outlined for it, there will be required a new deal.
21. (Q) Is it properly handled now by Olvany office? thru Berliner & Oestr [Eicher]? (A) It's very well handled.
22. (Q) Will it be open to attack later by [3734]? (A) As given, if it is desired - and IS attacked (and it's been approached), let 'em include it! Let THEM fight it out!
23. (Q) Any other advice for [257] at the present time? (A) First decide within self, see - what is to be accomplished, see. Take the time to rest, to recuperate - and during that period lay the plans, set the plans for that which may be accomplished.
