Rear office Time of Reading Southern State Bk., 3:20 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. 120 Patton Ave., Asheville, N.C. (... St., Apt.14-W, New York City.) (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his material affairs and mental well-being. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]; this we have had before, those associations and conditions mentally and materially that present themselves as problems in the experience of the body at this time.

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Please review papers mailed Charlotte, John Campbell Reconstruction Finance, Co., and advise when we will get results from him and Washington. (A) Should have a report in ten days. A report from Washington will require that there be some information regarding the numbers of people that will be aided by the opening of the proposition. This point, as will be seen, was that stressed in that given as to making the application; the great NUMBERS that would be touched by the activity of the proposition. As we find, unless there are some hindrances or curtailments in directions that are not seen in the present, in the two weeks - two to three weeks - they should be ready for activities. From this direction.

4. (Q) Is written set-up in my hand good one for both companies? (A) If it may be lived up to! And, as we find, the general conditions may be so improved by the middle of April that there should be the activities such as to make it a more or most satisfactory arrangement.

5. (Q) For my proper development, physically and mentally, please review the past 30 days and the effects, advising me

257-128 Page 2

for the next 30 days what steps to take and procedure. (A) This, as we find, will require considerable consideration, as given, considering many varied activities of the body. That which may be most helpful, as would that which would be what to do under the present existent conditions, ALL things considered in the way of health of self, of family, the financial straits and conditions that exist in the present, the requirements and the time that will be necessary for the beginning of operations in the general activities (that, as we find, have been very well chosen in the present, for the activities for this and the next two years, or for '34, '35, portions of '36, at least): First take thought that there is not such a straining of self that the physical breaks under the strain that is being produced in the body; and that resorting to temporary reliefs for disorders and disturbances in the physical and mental body, that have been warned respecting again and again, will not bring that which will make for the abilities of the body to perform in such a manner as to make for the very best in the experience. Then, take the warnings and do not be overanxious nor let thine zealousness for the material successes overshadow those things that will make for peace and harmony in the inner self and its relationships with the spiritual life as well. Make those arrangements through the connections either in the association with Jonus or with those in the other bank for those loans necessary, through the stock of the Pick Company, that may make for the tiding over for the present. We would not attempt to keep an office in the way and manner as set in the present, unless there may be the better arrangements made with the individuals where that the disruptions have arisen owing to the present conditions, but change to these to more in keeping with quarters that will be necessary under the changes to arise in these, or more in keeping with quarters where there may be more of the products that will be necessary now for the showrooms and for the activities in these directions. And also make for those changes in the associations and the environs; that all those things that have been going at loose ends are not given so much of the time as to overlook the more important things in the present, but be insistent that these are closed as soon as possible. And you'll have your thirty days of good work!

6. (Q) From whom can I borrow $5,000. (A) Through the channels that have been given.

7. (Q) Considering Carolina Wood Products Co. at Asheville, and my association with my partner Gilbert Morris, are the figures now complete enough to submit thru channels to Washington? (A) This has already been submitted! Those variations only that we have given, as to not sufficient evidence shown for the advantageous conditions for those that have been out of work, and as to the great expanse of country that may be aided by the activities in this place. Were this used with some of those propositions that have become as it were, rather the pet ideas of those in authority in Washington, as to those who may be aided in such a factory of this kind may also be aided in their own home, such that they are sons of the soil as well as of the factory, it'll go through a heap better!

8. (Q) What effect has David Goldman, representing the owner of the property, had on the situation by visiting Asheville and Mr. Morris over the weekend? (A) This may be best seen by that which transpires in this afternoon's conference, and those things made as propositions respecting this; and, as indicated, consider these things along with - not that there be recallments, but that these be worked out also for homes and soil, in these connections or grounds roundabout.

9. (Q) What can or should I do now for the furtherance of the success of the project? (A) Do not be overanxious. Do not by word of mouth or by the activities in the general associations overstep self as to what is going to be accomplished until there is word received as to what may be done. Then, as is chosen as to what fields of activity in which that as is in hand (the character, the kind, the position of the machinery, the necessary elements for this in this particular vicinity for the woods and the like to carry out that best) must all be considered, and these may be worked on by the body as to what are the lines that are to be the more prominent in the activities if they are successful in carrying through all the desires to become very active the first of April or 15th of same, anyway.

10. (Q) Would it be advisable for me to plan to spend month of March in Asheville to get plant and plans laid out for production? (A) After the 15th, the rest of it may be spent, when there is then the rest of those things necessary - but it'll be necessary that some trips be made for the closing up of those propositions that have been indicated as needing

257-128 Page 4

attention also.

11. (Q) My plan is to be on advisory board of management of factory and spend my entire time directing the sales organization and public contacts, Mr. Morris to handle the financial set-up and finances of the factory with management reporting to him. Is this a proper set up of a Board of Directors chosen entirely of Asheville citizens, the control of business being between Morris and myself on a 50/50 basis, sales on a commission basis through me? Please criticize above for improvement. (A) This is very good.

12. (Q) Please advise me how to again gain my equilibrium and financial independence to carry on my responsibilities? (A) Just as outlined in those things to be set up for the activities of self, concerning and beginnings; there must be the basis and the foundations in the next thirty days.

13. (Q) When will the tide change for the better for me? (A) Depends upon the activities and upon how these are carried forward, as indicated so oft for the body.

14. (Q) I have decided to devote my time to furniture and turn over my other interests to other associates. Is this the proper procedure and proper decision to make? (A) Be very good under the existing circumstances and the changes made for the body in other associations and connections. And, as indicated from the first regarding this proposition, it should be made so the handling of the conditions do not come from the worriments but rather the sales and the contacts going through the hands of the body - this is much better.

15. (Q) When will country's condition improve sufficient to enable me to find ready sale for furniture for my factory? (A) April 15th.

16. (Q) What date should I be in position to start the factory working, considering government aid and labor conditions at Asheville? (A) This depends upon the general conditions that have been indicated, and what becomes necessary for making the proper associations and connections in the line as indicated; that if these are carried out in the manner given, eventually it would work to the body's advantage, both as to labor and as to general conditions that would exist in handling an undertaking of this nature and character.

17. (Q) Have I now developed sufficiently thru my experiences to be able to again be successful in selling large quantities of furniture and wood specialties? (A) Provided there is kept sufficient of the activity in the way as to not put too many question marks after the

257-128 Page 5

activities in relations to individuals and groups and associations. The abilities are there; they only need to lay the proper plans, have them founded in those policies that have been indicated for the body so oft, and then work the plans!

18. (Q) Where can I get an immediate order on barrels, since Croft of Boston still holds me off? (A) As we find, the better plan will be to push this with Croft, and in the next few weeks get this carried through.

19. (Q) What can I say or write to Walter Croft to get a release to the order of 5,000 barrels? (A) That the necessary for this and the demand coming for same with the spring changes, makes it imperative that such be carried on, or be known at once so that you may plan for the general activities in same.

20. (Q) When will I ultimately get these barrels shipped to Croft? (A) When they are ready for 'em?

21. (Q) What attitude does Walter Croft hold for me? (A) Don't the activities tell that to self?

22. (Q) Has the situation changed in any manner with Jack Lewis of Washington as to finally getting the water cooler order for me? (A) Still being held up by the curtailment of those expenditures in the various fields, but it has NOT been abandoned as yet.

23. (Q) Is there anything I should do at this time in regards to same? (A) The only thing you can do is to wait!

24. (Q) In what manner can I further improve my spiritual development? (A) This has been outlined so oft; you only need to look into self and be honest, fair and square with self, as self would have thine fellow man be with thee!

25. (Q) As to Geo. Trommer brewery association with the Foreign Vintages, Inc., or Charles Wanser of Rockefeller Center, what is next move for me to bring this to a consummation? (A) There only can be a waiting in this until there is the assurance from both of these that the there is not a further investigation to some of those questionings that have arisen respecting the position of the distillers and winers in the relationships to the general conditions. For, as outlined for the body, that has been passed over a bit too lightly, there will in the early spring be many changes in the various states where the activity is going to command and demand that there be some movements on the part of many of these. If these are studied aright and proper, then these situations may be presented to Trommer and to those others, or Wanser, in such a manner as to make it show for the

257-128 Page 6

better activities on the part of each, that their joined forces may be better able to meet the general situations in these directions. These we would point out, but be sure you know what you are talking about! For, as indicated, it is a study in the various states and their associations with the whole.

26. (Q) What basis will satisfy both parties to induce each to go into partnership in Trommer's brewery? (A) This has already been set up. They've already agreed to it in part! Only needs to be able to see and know where and how these united efforts may make for the handling without too many questions coming up.

27. (Q) A letter was sent by Wanser to Trommer that their group was interested, on his return form South America they would resume negotiations. (A) Then carry it on out, as indicated!

28. (Q) What should my remuneration be for bringing parties together? (A) On the basis as outlined, and a portion of the activity in the stocks as indicated, in the way that would be efficacious to all.

29. (Q) Would 50% of common stock of Trommers be too much for Wanser to ask, if they put up enough finances to carry Trommer operation? (A) Fifty percent of that may be taken in stocks, yes!

30. (Q) Should I plan to retain my offices at 501 Madison, considering present conditions? (A) This has been given. Unless there may be the immediate changes such that will enable the body, why jeopardize so many of the positions and conditions by the constant turmoil. Be better to be changed for quarters for those things that are to come about.

31. (Q) Have I handled my personal debt situation properly during past several months.? (A) Not so good. Not so good.

32. (Q) What should Lande do for me in reference insurance policy against sister's loan, as policy lapsed? (A) He should carry out those things that have been promised, irrespective of the position he has allowed the thing to get into on account of the general distressing conditions and the necessity on the part of self to curtail any payments in that direction. These should be handled in an equitable way and manner. He should make both of these show those things necessary for the handling it in the proper way and manner!

33. (Q) I now request advice and constructive criticism for me again to be able to meet all conditions imposed by God

257-128 Page 7

and my fellow man - (A) This is the greatest trouble of most, my friend, in saying that conditions are imposed by God when they are the demands of errors committed in self! The command has always been to show ourselves worthy not only to the natural laws of the Creator of God, but "If ye will be my people I will be thy God." This has always been shown through the associations of the laws given thy peoples; that if the manifestations given to thee in trust as to the world's forces are used in the manner that thou givest out peace and harmony, then the fruits of the spirit are the result; not imposed by God but the actual results of the endeavors in self, as to what thou doest in regard to thy relationships to thy God and to thy fellow man. Are these different? Are these from a different basis? Are these founded in the truth as of the spirit, and ever in the ways "as I would have my fellow man do to me," then that's the way and manner in which thou will be acted towards by thy fellow man! That is all the command of God. Do that.
