... St., Time of Reading Apt. 14-W, 10:05 to 10:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind, in regard to Gilbert Morris, Wachovia Bank & Trust Co., 15 Patton Ave., Asheville, N.C., both of whom are now planning to carry out the instructions given by the Forces and ask additional guidance in face of the new law signed recently allowing Federal Reserve banks to make loans. Please advise us what changes Morris and [257] should now make in their procedure to get finances to open the factory, and then answer the questions that may be asked.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257], and those associations and relations with Gilbert Morris and others respecting their attempt to obtain loan.

2. It has been given the body [257], and for the instructions [257] should give to Morris, as relating to the activity and the meeting of the requirements necessary for presenting a proper application before the Board of that vicinity, as well as to the Board of the Federal Loan Association. All of these conditions, the rulings and all, have been taken into consideration, and are as we have given. First it will be required for such a loan, for such a purpose, that there be sufficient subscribed by Morris and associates, or by those of the immediate vicinity, to insure that the people, the business associations and relations, are interested in such a project and consider such activities as being helpful and beneficial to the immediate vicinity. Not only as for financial returns but in alleviating the loan or extension of Government activities in varied projects that are necessary in each and every vicinity that has been handled heretofore, and the affidavits or the indications from such groups that have interested themselves that there will be sufficient numbers of individuals who have been dependent upon these various activities for their affairs or associations in meeting the requirements and the needs of these THROUGH the opening of

257-134 Page 2

this to JUSTIFY the Government in diverting or changing such expenditures to meet these needs; that it, the Government, is itself making a loan that JUSTIFIES these changes. As has been indicated, this CAN be accomplished; for unless Morris and those of the immediate vicinity believe sufficient in the operation of the manufacturing plant, how can they make or induce the Government in ANY of its channels to believe in it also? And when such is done, they can get loans - ANYWHERE; and that's necessary for them to do!

3. (Q) Should I go to Asheville, if Jonas does not? (A) If, from the activities of Morris, the needs are such; that is, that the self will give more confidence and enable those interested with Morris - or may be interested with Morris - in producing such a position; then would be well, either with Jonas or without. If this is required, it would be better without Jonas. If Jonas is to be interested, but is necessary that he be impressed by the activities or the enthusiasm of the local business men, then be better with Jonas.

4. (Q) Will Wachovia Bank be within the law to lend the money, provided Federal keeps 20% deposit there? (A) It has to be made in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Federal Reserve, and 20% isn't sufficient, nor is it within the law.

5. (Q) What branch of Federal Reserve should be applied to? (A) Through the regular channels, as we have indicated again and AGAIN. It isn't the application that is important, but the correct form of application - as we have indicated. Why does he not see it? There are at least three different channels through which the Federal Government has been expending money in this vicinity, you see, without ANY return. If the activities are to be opened for the individuals, by the money being lent, to make positions where the various phases of the different channels through which the Government has been supplying the needs of the individuals, and to continue so, then it BEHOOVES the Government to do that which it has set out to do in these various channels, see?

6. (Q) Should Morris and [257] get letters and affidavits and petitions from Mayor, Governor, and other prominent organizations, or will it be necessary? (A) We have been telling it over and over again. Those who interest themselves personally, of the business associations, and then all of those OTHER channels that are necessary to indicate to first the BOARD - Federal Board, in and about this vicinity. Don't go to Washington with these

257-134 Page 3

things when you haven't presented them to the local Board! For the Federal Government, the Federal officials, do not want to consider propositions where individuals are attempting to use "pull" or what not to ride over anyone - or over those they have appointed to do their job! Don't you see? Then follow it in the right and correct channel. First to the local Board, then all the rest of these; and carried to the Federal then makes the correct associations and connections. It will NOT be accomplished without it!

7. (Q) Will it be necessary or to their better interests to continue with Ralph Jonas of 115 B'Way - (A) This may be carried, if the rest of the thing is carried also. You can't do the one without the other, as we have indicated. You may have either, if it is prepared and set up in the proper form. But you can't make short cuts. How has the law been given? "Ye shall pay every whit. The heavens and earth may pass away, but my word does NOT pass away, and ye shall pay every whit - until that law has been fulfilled." This applies in spiritual things, in mental experiences in the material things of life. You may take short cuts for the moment, but you'll pay for all the rest.

8. (Q) When is best time for [257] and Morris to meet at Asheville to prevent further delay, yet assuring them of accomplishment? (A) When Morris has at least gotten the situation in the shape where [257] may aid in completing same, or aid in being a party to the association to insure those that are interested that the activities for which there is the opening of the plant are to be carried forward by [257]'s association and activity. [257] makes a necessary factor for the distribution, see? as also the necessary factor of the other associations for giving the strength, the background, the stigmatism, for the activities in all the various associations. They are not just a wheel within a wheel, but they are the working out, the coordination, the cooperation of the combined efforts of all together; and when such is made, such is set, either from Jonas associations or from the Federal Government, or from both, there may be obtained the necessary funds for such activities. Not until it is made clear that this is to be accomplished. And then, as it has ever been, it is the faith, the confidence individuals have one in another in their abilities, and not so much their financial standing as to the MORAL conditions, the MORAL loan as it is. Hence the necessity for all the activities to be in order and in their regular channels for such relations. Sad day when it is attempted to be done otherwise. Individuals who attempt to ride over in such an association hurt THEMSELVES; not

257-134 Page 4

others!

9. (Q) What advice for Gilbert Morris personally is needed to guide him to success in financing the factory? (A) Do RIGHT! Just as he would be done by, all the way through!

10. (Q) To [257]? (A) Same.

11. (Q) From present conditions of country, what are the prospects for the successful operation of this factory by [257] and Morris? (A) That depends upon what is to be manufactured. As to how far ahead it is to be planned; but less than three to five year plan would be foolish. In that form or manner, there may be chosen any of those things that are as in constant use, constant replacing, and be well.

12. (Q) What are the prospects of Pres. Roosevelt with present policies to redeem country from depression and return prosperity? (A) The POLICIES are right. The individual activities of the close associates, or the ones in power are well. As to what the people will do with same depends upon the PEOPLE, as we have given; and a sad day for all unless they do!

13. (Q) Is there any other message on this subject for the waiting world and our associates? (A) Much has been given respecting these conditions here and there. As to that which would be helpful; most of which have sought for first personal gain, personal rehabilitation in the activities to that of an extravagant age and period. But all must come to the knowledge that "I AM my brother's keeper." And until the world, or those in authority, those in power from the angle or standpoint of that which is the exchange medium between individual groups in their affairs, socially, commercially and spiritually, recognize that this is true, and that each group is dependent one upon another, little progress of a lasting nature be made. Here and there, to be sure, there will be those places, those individual vicinities, where such are imminent. What cities are in the the greater position of returned prosperity for their people? Cincinnati? Why? For it in many channels long ago adopted what? The Golden Rule, as that manner in which many of those in authority in the various groups would deal not only with their employees but with those whom they served. Those in other places are in the same way and manner, and these are the bases or the backgrounds; for thou ART thy brother's keeper.

14. (Q) As [257] goes thru Washington what departments should he call on to aid in getting the water cooler

257-134 Page 5

contract thru which Lewis has been handling? (A) Through those of the commissary.

15. (Q) Please advise [257] as to further improvement in his physical body, since pain has left his foot? (A) As we would find, with the use of those properties that will make for the gland activity, and using same in a diluted form for injection for the glands where disorders have disturbed the body, will be the better way to use and to assure self of keeping a cleansed system. Atomidine, then, three to five drops twice each day; morning before any meal is taken or upon arising, and evening before retiring. And at least twice a week use as injections, three to five drops in at least two ounces of water.

16. (Q) Any special summer diet best for body's full recovery and equilibrium? (A) Beware of meats and of too much of very COLD food or ices and sweets that are chilled too much.

17. (Q) Will body be able to go west in August, considering present conditions? (A) Should be.

18. (Q) Would it be to advantage and aid of all concerned if Edgar Cayce went to Asheville with [257]? (A) Not unless those situations demand that such be; no, would not be well.

19. (Q) Is it a good time for Cayce to answer invitation of Ungerleider by going to N.Y. now? (A) Provided this is in the nature or form wherein it may be made for the better associations and connections in line with the needs and requirements of the activities of the Association, very good. Without these, or under strained conditions, never.

20. (Q) When would be best time to go? (A) When they are not strained conditions, or when they are normal.

21. (Q) Any other advice for [257] at this time? (A) Thou knowest the way. Do not try to climb up some other. RIGHT, not might, will succeed; in business, in the mental activities, in the social order of things; for whereunto the Lord has called individuals for an active service in the material world in such channels, in such relationships that make for the closer understanding and relations for the carrying forward of these things, is the field of activity for individuals in their service to their fellow man. Though the surroundings at times may make for the appearances of that which cannot be borne in body or mind, He has not called thee unto a service where He will not guide thee and direct thee at all times. So, in the

257-134 Page 6

activities of the body, keep the faith thou hast in thy God, and know that ye see same reflected in thy fellow man.
