Time of Reading 6:45 to 6:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body & enquiring mind - Ques.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]; this we have had before, those associations and relations that are indicated in the present.

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) What can [257] do to induce Dunning of G.E. to visit Showers Bros. Co. with him? (A) Presenting the necessity for such, not only for the patterns, designs, finish, but for the better general conditions; not only for the activities and associations of [257], in his assurance for the carrying out of the obligations, but also for the price range and the arrangements for all the various models and associations of same.

4. (Q) How much will prices have to be reduced on the - (A) (Interrupting) About four percent. [EC said "Fourteen percent" but [257] insisted that I write it four percent. GD.]

5. (Q) (Continuing) to get G.E. business? (A) On some models.

6. (Q) On the consoles? (A) On the consoles.

7. (Q) Will Dunning give Showers the business? (A) If Dunning is present, yes.

8. (Q) Will Showers take the order? (A) Take the order.

9. (Q) Will [257] have to go to Bridgeport again before going west? (A) Not as we find.

10. (Q) Should [257] place all the orders through G.E. with Showers? (A) This would depend upon whether the activities with Dunning or through which the orders are coming are acceptable as well to those in authority for receiving of same. As we find, it would be better for the smaller

numbers to be placed elsewhere.

11. (Q) Would it be advisable to place them with Morgantown Furniture Co.? (A) With Morgantown, the smaller numbers.

12. (Q) Will Showers Bros. build proper quality to please G.E.? (A) As we find, it is their intention. As to what will happen, of course, this is speculative. As we find, yes.

13. (Q) Will Showers Bros. thru Mr. Guy Burnett give [257] a fair opportunity to build a future with them? (A) A fair opportunity to build with the association or organization.

14. (Q) Will they continue through the years to allow him to work with them - (A) (Interrupting) Will through the next two years, at least. Then there will be changes.

15. (Q) What contract should [257] have with Showers Bros. to protect him and that no misunderstanding will arise? (A) That his business will be taken care of in the manner in which it was first set out by the first associations or connections through Williams and other connections.

16. (Q) What are [257]'s possibilities with the Showers Bros. connections? (A) Very good. It's much preferable, as we find in the present, to make for these activities to force issues as in connection with the Carolina activities than waiting or depending upon them for the activities with any of the other associates that have been contemplated. And through the same association or connection, or with Thompson - or with some of the others - there may be had a portion of their business which may be placed with the connections that [257] is making with Showers.

17. (Q) Will Saturday be a good time for [257] to start with Dunning to Showers plant to spend Sunday and Monday? (A) Very good.

18. (Q) Will Monday and Tuesday of next week be good days for [257] to meet Isaac Orr at St. Louis to discuss medicine situation for a new sale? (A) [257] should never meet Isaac Orr until there has been with the attorneys of [257] worked out the correct agreement. For to undertake to sell or to make contacts with Orr, proposing to sell, until there is the proper understanding or agreement with all those associated and connected, would only make for entanglements. Do THIS first!!
