Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: We have the body, [257]; this we have had before.
2. In giving the disturbances in the present, as we would find much of that which has been given same should be reviewed by the body.
3. The applications of those things suggested in part have been made, and localize now more of the conditions.
4. The body should not, if there will be the proper applications, be overanxious regarding the appearance of a little blood at times in the stool.
5. Now we find these conditions have localized themselves more through the lower portion of the second sphincter muscular centers and in the anus itself.
6. Hence if there will be morning and evening the exercise, not the stooping but the bending - raising the hands high above the head - as these are slowly raised, rising on toes, drawing IN the deep breath through the nostril - as the body is bent forward, with the fingers toward the floor, exhale through the mouth - doing this SLOWLY, consistently, for a minute or such, morning and evening - we may find conditions on the mend.
7. Also begin by taking internally two to three times a day Pure Olive Oil; not gobs or spoonfuls but half to a teaspoonful should be sufficient.
8. After each stool, and there is the cleansing, then use Tim as an ointment and an injection. This having an astringent and a curative and an allaying reaction to the inflammatory conditions will, with the exercise, with the food for the intestinal system, tend to eliminate entirely the disturbance.
9. Keep, though, towards the diet; that there may be the better reaction through the system. There may be taken at times meats but no great quantity of condiments or of pickles or of those things that produce an activity upon the flow of the lymph through the lower portion of the abdominal
257-172 Page 2
area - or hinder the flow as such do.
10. These kept, with that as has been indicated, should make for the removal and correction of the conditions in the present.
11. In the other general forces of the body, the mental attitudes, these we find very good. Anxiety has caused and does cause those disturbances at times, but these come and go with the changes in and surrounding the body.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) How large are the hemorrhoids? (A) They vary according to the protuberances.
14. (Q) Does the blood come from these or from further up? (A) From these.
15. (Q) Why do the membranes show through the instrument that the body is anemic, and also in the test tube? (A) Because they are taken from portions that are. And as has been indicated, food for these will be supplied through those influences that have been indicated for the body.
16. (Q) Are there any external hemorrhoids? (A) At times.
17. (Q) Please describe the condition of the protruding, after action, and reason. (A) This is as has been indicated. Hence not only the injection, but the Tim as an ointment externally, after the stool.
18. (Q) Are the hemorrhoids growing, or will they remain the same size? (A) If it will do as has been indicated, they will be eliminated!
19. (Q) What is the condition of the rest of the intestines? (A) As has been indicated, much improved.
20. (Q) Is the body generally anemic? (A) No, not generally so. The intestinal tract, from those strains of the activities as indicated in that given - which should be reviewed shows indications of same.
21. (Q) What is the direct cause of the membranes appearing anemic? (A) Because they are anemic, owing to those strains as just indicated - that may be seen by reviewing what has been given as to those conditions that exist through portions of the colon area itself.
22. (Q) Is there a spastic condition in the intestinal tract? (A) Only at times.
23. (Q) Should the Sun Lamp that I have in my office be used? If so, how often and what part of body? (A) So far as this condition is concerned, it will be only when the body is tired or overstrained, overworked, that it would be of any particular benefit. If it is desired to be
257-172 Page 3
used, it may be used. If so, use over the central and lower portion of the cerebrospinal system. But we would not use too often or too long a period. A minute and a half to two minutes should be sufficient.
24. (Q) Is white oil good for the body now? (A) Preferably use that as has been indicated. White oil is good at times, provided there is NOT the use of same too copiously.
25. (Q) Is Dicalcium phosphate compound with Viosterol helpful for the body? (A) At times when there is the need for the breaking up of the conditions through the system, but if the exercise and the Olive Oil and the diet are adhered to, these should produce rather in the system itself the effects of these so that the activity of the glandular system and the peristaltic movements through the intestinal system, the flow of the lymph and emunctory activity through the same should be sufficient and not prepare or make for the system depending upon free production or activity of such in the body. The body can prepare, in most instances, as with this, the proper activity of same rather than their induction through or from foreign sources.
26. (Q) The body has refrained from red meat, and still the condition continues. (A) As has been indicated, these arise from - now - localization.
27. (Q) What diet should he now follow? (A) Refrain from rather those things as has been indicated.
28. (Q) What benefit has he had from moving to the country, if any? (A) This will depend upon the use of the activities of the whole of the general system; but the outlook, the natural resources of the air, the change, the environs, make for helpful forces for the body.
29. (Q) What can he now do to take advantage of the conditions in the country? (A) Apply them in the experience, in the associations, in the use of the time and the things that may be better used to budget the self to those activities as has been indicated so oft would be well for the body; to keep a mental and physical and spiritual balance by making for recuperative forces in each by the application of those influences to each portion of its whole make-up.
30. (Q) Does the Sunday morning exercise in the garden aid the body sufficiently? (A) When it's needed, yes. When it's not needed, then it may become a taxation. So long as the exercise is as a
257-172 Page 4
recuperation and not a taxation, it is helpful.
31. (Q) What about the ability of Dr. Lowenberg of 175 East 79th St., N.Y.C., who is interested in the work of Edgar Cayce and this patient? (A) If he desires to apply those things as may be applied, well and good. If he will apply those things as indicated, it'll be eliminated. The abilities are there.
32. (Q) What can [257] do now to make the visit of Edgar Cayce the most advantageous one he has ever had in N.Y., personal and for the sake of the Work? [See 254-91 Reports.] (A) Make for the contacts that are of the nature that they as individuals seek, and are seeking, and not as "I'll show you." Not as of that which is attempting to prove, but to supply those needs of individuals who are in need. Those that are already sufficient unto themselves, leave them there. Those that are satisfied with their conditions, leave them there. Those that are in need, those that are seekers - and NOT the curious.
33. (Q) Is this a good time to see Dr. Carrel? [Alexis Carrel, M.D.] (A) It may not be arranged just at present; it may be in the Spring.
34. (Q) Who will make best approach? (A) Those that are the real seekers.
35. (Q) To Carrel? (A) Those that are the most seekers.
36. (Q) What about the giving of readings to the new people in Scarsdale, so we can serve the most the best? [Work:E.C.] (A) In the way and manner as has just been indicated.
37. (Q) Any specific advice for [257] regarding this trip? (A) That just indicated is very specific, if it will be applied in the way and manner as it has been given and indicated.
38. (Q) Edgar Cayce? (A) Be willing to give that which is in keeping with the ideals and purposes.
39. (Q) Hugh Lynn Cayce? (A) The same.
40. (Q) Gertrude Cayce? (A) The same.
41. (Q) Gladys Davis? (A) The same.
42. (Q) Please review proposed trip of [257] to Martinsville regarding Radio, and give procedure. (A) This as we find is a very good period, at the time of the proposed trip, to make for those proper considerations. For as has been indicated, if that which has been given will
257-172 Page 5
be reviewed it may be seen to coordinate with the conditions that are arising. DO NOT FORCE these upon the organization, but rather show from present and past experiences what may be gained by their engaging in this department of work. For it requires due consideration, the proper machinery, the proper surroundings and environs, that becomes of a different nature to be sure from any of the regular routine for which the plant has been so adequately and efficiently planned. But this should all be taken into due consideration. And if [257] shows all of these - the good points and the bad points, the necessity of the preparation, the patterns, the samples, the necessity of these being supplied in all of the various phases of same, as has been the experience - then it may make for a good opportunity for [257]. If these are attempted to be pushed over and then blamed later for some of the service rendered, it will work to a detrimental condition for the factory, [257] AND the purchasers.
43. (Q) Any further advice for [257] at this time, regarding any of his affairs? (A) Keep in the way of constructive forces, ever.
