Time of Reading Chicago, Ill. 11:30 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. (..., N.Y.) (Body and enquiring mind in regard to his various associations and business affairs. Ques.)

1. EC: We have the enquiring mind, [257].

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Review meeting [994] today, advise procedure and advisability. (A) As we would find, when there have been the activities that have been - and then to consider re-enactment or reconsideration - well, these had best be met on individual terms and individual consideration, and neither individual judged from these sources or channels. Work them out yourselves. [See 994-3 Reports and 257-160 Reports.]

4. (Q) Advise procedure with American and G.E. after today's meeting. (A) These as we find may be carried on through, if there will not be a dividing of interests of [257] in the associations.

5. (Q) Discuss best plan for success in radio. (A) This has been given so often. If that will be reviewed as was given in '28, yea in '26, it will be found to be applicable in the present. Honest consideration, honest endeavors; consideration from the seeker or the organization desiring cabinets and the organization desiring to manufacture same; and this shall be upon an equitable basis, with consideration for all concerned. These are the same as ever.

6. (Q) What are the prospects for me in 1937 - financial improvement? (A) This depends upon not only the activities of the body and its associations with its connections in the varied fields of endeavor but as to the general trend of conditions. These as we find should be, yea will be, commensurate with the endeavors in the correct directions by the body.

7. (Q) What factory should I concentrate on for best source of Radio Cabinets? (A) American.

8. (Q) Can I improve myself with my factory now? (A) This is not a question, or should never be a question within the mind of the body. There has been given how the factory's policies are in accord with that as is not only good business but in keeping with policies that are ever constructive. If the body-mind and the body-activities are in accord, then it may not be improved. If the body's activities, the body-mind, are NOT in accord, the closer in accord the better will be then the associations with the organization. They should be as one. The policies of one not by word only, the policies of the other - but in fact and in truth; and these make for the closer associations, and dependability from each that makes the greater and the more satisfactory associations. Whenever there is by word or act a question mark put, this destroys much of the trust, much of the abilities for either the body or the associates to do the best in any direction.

9. (Q) Should I again do business with Acme? (A) We would not.

10. (Q) Sam Rappaport of 41 Vesey St. factory? (A) We would NOT!

11. (Q) Considering conditions with Gen. Elec. in 1936, what can I do to insure my doing business with them? (A) Meeting those terms and those policies and those prices and those qualities as necessary for the correct associations. These have ever been. The study is within self and self's activities. The policies of the organizations are in keeping with good business. Make thy associations one.

12. (Q) Should I push my case against Segram of Montreal for my commission in the liquor deal? (A) This also has been given so oft. We refuse to answer, unless something is done. It has been given that this should have been done last July! It'll soon be July again!

13. (Q) Will I be successful with the linen business with Wort & Scheidling of Bern, Switzerland? (A) Depends upon the associations to whom the actual activity and contact are entrusted. Some associations in these directions are good. Some have many question marks after them.

14. (Q) Is there a market for fine linen for trousseaus for the U.S.? (A) Not in the present. This may be builded.

15. (Q) How best to proceed to develop into good income? (A) As has just been indicated, in meeting all of those policies, all of those activities in a way and manner that the thought of the manufacturer, the thought of the

purchaser, the thought of all concerned is not the advantage one of another but as an aid one to another, in obtaining and in fulfilling and in meeting the conditions necessary for the advancement of all parties, all conditions concerned.

16. (Q) Regarding Paris Medicine suit: Considering Reed & Buder, and the Court of Appeals of Missouri Federal Court, what chances have we for increased verdict? (A) This as we find is rather scant. However, in view of or in reviewing all of the conditions as regarding same, this is in the greater part in the present OUT of the hands of [257]; and must be determined by the attorneys that are involved in a division of the proceeds from same. And these then should be [257]'s activities: Insist that there be a meeting of all parties concerned and a definite DECISION reached, and then the proper activities begun. Reed naturally is to be the leader, but Reed will NOT be the one as we find that will cause the greater amount of trouble in reaching a decision. But insist that this decision by the attorneys be reached. And [257] will necessarily have to abide by their decision.
