1. HLC: You will review the physical conditions and advise him how to keep normal, and build body back to perfect health - mental and physical. You will answer the questions he has presented, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there is much to be desired in the physical way and manner as related to this body, yet conditions are such that if there would be taken those precautions as we have so oft insisted upon for this body, and the adherence to the habits and the activities that have been indicated, there would not be these flare-ups at this time.

4. Many warnings have been given the body. And there should be those considerations that the body is not the exception to others - that when there is disobedience or nonadherence to those things given, there must be those results or reactions of which the body has been so oft warned.

5. When under stress or strain, by overexertion physically or a high or excess mental activity, if the body consumes foods that are the least tending towards those things of which the body has been warned, then much more easily there are the tendencies for the disturbing conditions.

6. Also this is true if there is the neglect to take the proper rest. This is not a thing that may be done in spasms, or work overtime for a period and then promise self to take the rest when it is more convenient. For, the body has reached those conditions of which it has been so often warned in the years past, and which - as is understood - allowed such accumulations of disturbing forces as to bring about growths that hindered, and brought distresses to the body.

7. Then, there ARE STILL those inclinations and tendencies for such accumulations! For, by merely removing the effect of a condition and then continuing to live and act so as to disregard the body-disturbances or the chemical forces which

257-228 Page 2

brought about same, you DO NOT prevent the forming of the accumulations, or the system from giving warnings concerning same from time to time - as we find has been indicated in the system and is at present! [Cancerous tendencies. Both parents died of cancer.]

8. It is true that there may be indicated, now, those elements - or the use of activities - that would assist the body in creating such influences as to keep a better balance. But if there is to be a disregarding of the manner in which sufficient or regular periods are to be observed for rest, owing to the apparent physical or material necessity for the moment, little may be accomplished from same! And eventually there would come still greater disturbance.

9. For, each period of exhaustion to the body - physically or mentally - does undo, or brings such conditions as to lesson the vital energies for the body; making it more subject to these tendencies, these inclinations. For there will be produced those conditions that are as warnings, - the burnings in stomach, through the intestines, puffiness in the areas about the wound or where incisions were made, itchiness in the lower portion of the rectal area, a burning through the eliminations especially of bladder, and the bad taste that arises.

10. But if there are the precautions, if there is - again - the budgeting of the time, these may be prevented. This to the body appears at times to be inconsistent with its material desires. But this inconsistency is that which stands between the body making or keeping itself physically fit, and that of soon - as the warnings have given - of so undermining the vital energies of the body as to become so dis-eased and diseased as to be a burden to itself, and an anxiety to others, bringing discouragements that would be VERY disturbing to the purposes and aims the body has set before itself.

11. Know that this is being given to AROUSE the body to the realization that he must CONTINUALLY be on the guard; not just for a week, not for just a month! Not so much as to attempt to throw off on others, or to use the condition as an excuse, but rather to use the condition as a means to form those tendencies, those habits, those precautions which have been indicated so oft for the body. For, the warnings have been given again and again as to how to keep the body fit - as to the foods, the diets, the exercise, the recreation, the rest, the building of the mental body, the time to play and the time to work, the time to recuperate the mental body, the time to make holy and the time to pray.

257-228 Page 3

12. All of these must be observed, if there would be a well-rounded, a well-centered life. Not the stress in the one so much more than the other, but DO be consistent, DO be fair with self, with the warnings, and take those precautions necessary.

13. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) What is condition now of colon? (A) This will of necessity be a very general answer. For, the condition changes, and has changed even since this question was written - or asked here. In a general manner - if there is the keeping of a balance in the diets and activities - it is in that condition where it may adjust itself.

15. (Q) Has it healed back perfectly? (A) It is in that state where it may keep in a perfectly normal condition, if those things are adhered to as we have just given. No, it isn't at present perfectly healed back! It can never be what it was, of course!

16. (Q) Why the burning feeling occasionally? (A) The warning of the condition, as we have just given! A disregarding of the activities, the diets and the exercises necessary!

17. (Q) What effects did California trip have on body? (A) Very good in some respects, when he behaved himself! Not so good when he didn't!

18. (Q) Why the puffed spot at times on side above where operation was begun? (A) Just as indicated, the overtaxation to the body - the lack of the proper rest and relaxation!

19. (Q) Should any Sal Hepatica ever be taken? (A) This will depend upon circumstances, to be sure. As we find, this is rather severe on the body. For this body - if such is desirable - ENO SALTS is much more preferable than Sal Hepatica. It is a fruit salts, you see.

20. (Q) Will a strict diet prevent blood from showing at times? (A) As we have indicated, a strict diet of itself - no. There should be precautions against any liquids that carry any form of malt, or the carbonated waters - these are bad, and may be more severe even than the mere diet. But the adherence to activities physically, and to the diet, AND to what is taken as drinks, will incline to make for the body much BETTERED conditions! Not wholly of themselves will they prevent the condition, but they will make the tendencies less.

21. (Q) Considering the body now, what foods would be best? (A) These have been gone over and over and over and over!

257-228 Page 4

These don't change!

22. (Q) What will water from potato peels do for body? How often should it be taken? [For baldness. As in 257-227.] (A) This carries a combination. It depends, of course upon where the potatoes are grown, how the peelings are prepared and how much is used, and how low they are boiled, how much, etc. But the tendency is to add the elements that produce the right stimulation for the growth of hair. Thus the activity is to the glandular system - a part of the thyroid activity, you see. Now these are tendencies. The peelings of potatoes don't of themselves make hair grow if everything else is done to prevent it! But it tends to stimulate, to keep the activities in such a manner as to be beneficial. For this body, or any other body - if it desires to use it - though it's rather late for this body to undertake to grow back hair, when it might have followed this procedure some twenty years ago and prevented the loss of the hair; but for most bodies, about an ounce of the potato peeling juice taken every few days is beneficial. It also carries the salts that are helpful in stimulating an activity for better assimilating forces in the body. For it tends to keep a balance. But remember, much depends upon the manner in which such potatoes are used - where and how they are grown, and how prepared. But in general, these are beneficial in the manner indicated. Of course, there might be a great or full discussion given on this, as to where it is best that the potatoes be grown for this body or that body or the other body. But these are general, see?

23. (Q) What amounts of Atomidine and how often to use on hair? [As in 257-227.] (A) Here again, we are rather late in bringing about a stimulation that has been neglected. For, we have given the conditions for the hair of this body before. When these were kept, consistently - those things indicated for stimulations - there were benefits. But when these were neglected - like many other conditions in the body - there became rather the hindrances. For, as given in Holy Writ - it is best that one not put the hand to the plough if not going ahead. It is best that one not begin with something that is to be creative, and then turn that creation into destructive forces by neglect,

257-228 Page 5

over-indulgence, self-indulgence, or any of those things that make right wrong. As for this body - occasionally, put half a teaspoonful of Atomodine in the water when a shampoo is given or taken. This will be beneficial in stimulating a healthy condition in the scalp; and a healthy scalp tends to prove beneficial for the growth of hair. It will keep down also the tendencies for any form of dandruff, or prevent falling hair. Put half a teaspoonful to at least a quart or quart and a half of water, see? DON'T have too strong, nor - of course - too weak.

24. (Q) Is there any way to heal the intestinal tract so blood will not show up? (A) This will necessitate the conforming to the habits, the activities, the diets that have been indicated; and then adding to the system those influences that tend to create an equal balance in the elements necessary for body-building. To satisfy the body (though we might give that as might be helpful) - have a smear made; have several made of the blood, the stomach chyle - and indicate from same that negligible or lacking in the system. Then have that given, or take that as will PRODUCE those things necessary in the body-forces!

25. (Q) Should body travel in 1941 for any purposes? If so, where? (A) As we have indicated, it will be well for those trips to be taken if they are done in such a manner as to bring recreation for the body, for the mind, and for the general well-being of the body. If during such trips there is the breaking away from a uniform diet, or the habits that are to be the beneficial things, it becomes detrimental.

26. (Q) Why fullness in spot below center of ribs occasionally? (A) Read what has just been given here. Digest all of that, and you will see all the whys and wherefores, and those influences necessary - for the body to keep and build and maintain the better conditions.

27. (Q) Why occasional pain over heart? (A) An unbalanced circulation.

28. (Q) What chemical reaction caused the growth which was taken out by Dr. Babcock, so I can if possible see it does not reoccur? (A) Why not take those things that have been indicated, or that may be indicated from the tests, that will prevent same; rather than trying to build back and make for a fear,

257-228 Page 6

or a scare that keeps the body unfit? This was a chemical change, see?

29. (Q) Will any part of intestines need to be removed further for better health of body? (A) This will depend upon what is done about same from now on. Go and be looked over. Go and give some of the blood, some of the chyle, some of the stool; that there may be tests made. And then let the diet and the activities be given from those findings; that will satisfy the body; and the body needs to DO - not just know about such!

30. (Q) Are there any other threats to the body's perfect equilibrium? (A) Much might be said as to this - but it depends upon the consistency in the body activities!

31. (Q) What are now the conditions of the eyes? (A) They need attention, and glasses when close reading.

32. (Q) What daily exercise can body begin to take on? (A) How OFTEN have these been gone over! That which is consistent, that which makes for rest of body and mind. Do those things.
