Time of Reading 10:30 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you the body of [257], present in this room. Please review the mental and physical conditions and advise him how to keep his mental, spiritual and physical body attuned to God and man for his best welfare. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, the general physical condition is very good. There have been those warnings as respecting the manner in which the body should conduct itself as to diet; the more often using those foods or vegetables grown in the area where the body is residing, when practical. There are seasons that this becomes impractical, to be sure; this should be understood. But through those periods especially of the fall and winter, be mindful that there is not the overloading nor the tendencies of neglecting to have sufficient of foods of every nature to keep a well balanced body.

4. There are those things that are as hindrances also, as we have indicated; as too much of red or rare meats, or any of those things that are the product of hops or its derivatives, to which the body is allergic.

5. That there are those tendencies for unbalancing the chemical reactions has been indicated, and the system - through the plasm of the activities in the lacteals as well as in the glandular system - tends to make for an irritation, or the segregations.

6. Hence the needs that there be kept, consistently, the hydrotherapy treatments, massage, oils, lights, as has been indicated. These should be kept especially through the next three to four to five months.

7. And with this consistently done, we should find the body emerging into the spring with greater hopes, greater vitality, greater resistances; and with the abilities

257-236 Page 2

physically to manifest the spiritual and mental attitudes which should ever be that relationship of man to man, man to the Creative Forces.

8. Know, ever, that inasmuch, or in the manner ye treat thy fellow man, with what judgments ye mete, with what condemnations ye make upon others, ye condemn thyself and thy Maker.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) Considering present treatments at Reilly's, is there anything else I should do to restore perfect health to body? (A) As we find, these should be sufficient - if there are the precautions as to obtaining sufficient time for recreation, for resuscitation, and not overtaxing nor taking great chances as to cold or congestion or the like.

11. (Q) What recreation is best for me during the fall? (A) Any where there is the activity out in the open. Golfing, walking, riding, bicycling or the like.

12. (Q) Is there any way to heal the body where blood comes through occasionally? (A) The use of any suppositories that are not too astringent, but that are soothing in their nature. These used regularly will aid in healing and will prevent the disturbances being so reactive, unless there are the non-adherences to those directions indicated, or the breaking over in the diet and the like.

13. (Q) Are Pazo Suppositories good to use? or is there a better one? (A) These are very well. They are very good. We would use these.

14. (Q) At home would electric vibration across small of back be helpful, in addition to lamps thru green glass? (A) This would be very good. It will rest the body very well.

15. (Q) How long at a time? (A) 15 to 20 minutes.

16. (Q) What causes pain across the small of back, especially on arising? (A) The general tiredness and overtaxation of the body; and the tendency for the system to adjust itself and making strain upon the organs of the pelvis - or the genital system in general; the glands as related to same. All of these, and the electrical vibration as well as the light treatments will be beneficial.

17. (Q) Is milk at noon good for me? (A) This is very well, if it agrees with the body. There will be times this will agree and others it will not. But this might be found by the using of same regularly, and then

257-236 Page 3

when it is not desired don't take it.

18. (Q) On returning to Arthurdale, West Va., about Oct. 5th, what treatments, exercise, etc., are best for me? (A) Those that will be as near to those indicated as practical. Exercises as much in the open air as practical, - walking or riding or the like, as indicated.

19. (Q) Should I take the Mercury-Quartz Lamp I have at home with me and use it in Arthurdale? (A) If the residence there is of sufficient period to demand this, but do not use it without a green glass.

20. (Q) What does the green glass really do? (A) Breaks up the rays and rather than being of destructive natures, as it is in the destroying of tissue, it enlivens the good tissue and destroys the bad.

21. (Q) What is nicotinic acid? [See 257-234, Par. 17-A.] (A) Nicotinic acid - it is that found especially in green leaves of lettuce, celery, cabbage and the like. It is a product of the B-1. It is that element which in the system aids in production of the leucocytes in the blood, or their element of activity.

22. (Q) Should B-1 be taken at the same time? (A) This depends upon whether the foods taken carry sufficient quantity of B-1. B-1 is a vitamin not stored in body, but it is necessary that there be the consumption of such each day. While A, C, D and G at times attempt to take the place of same, the B-1 activity is much better taken in foods than in the segregated pellets or capsules. When it is impractical for obtaining the foods with sufficient quantities for the daily needs, very well to take B-1. But to overstress same may at times cause the reaction of the VERY distress that is attempting to be aided! All foods yellow in their nature, that are naturally yellow, carry B-1. Re-enforced flour, and especially whole wheat, corn flakes, most cereals - if re-enforced with same. So, a normal helping of such each day is about a FIFTH of that necessary. Also it is found in orange juice, citrus fruit juices, the juice and the pulp of grapefruit and the like, and in ALL cereals, and in bread; and especially the GREEN leaves of lettuce - not so much in the beautiful white pieces. The green pieces are usually thrown away, and the hearts of lettuce kept that aren't worth very much as food for individuals. Hence lettuce of the leafy variety is really better for the body, carrying the greater source of the nicotinic acid.

23. (Q) Yellow peaches in the can? (A) All good. Yellow corn meal, squash, and every food

257-236 Page 4

that is naturally yellow in color. Carrots, raw and cooked - all of these.

24. (Q) Considering conditions nationally and internationally, and my religious standing, what are my next moves to make for my best services to aid the government and myself? (A) Through the channels as may be opened from time to time. DO NOT ever attempt to pose as this or that. Be the natural self, meeting the natural conditions as develop. For, as there are the disturbances more and more, and the drawing closer and closer to the actual warfare, it is necessary that each one - and especially this entity - be itself.

25. (Q) Shall I offer my services at this time, in the Army especially? (A) As we find, as it stands the body is on call. Let it come naturally, not attempting to urge or push. For this of itself causes question.

26. (Q) Please advise me what to expect as to outcome of the war conditions as affecting me and my country. (A) These as we find are being met. There will eventually be exceedingly strenuous times, especially through '42 and '43. The greater outflow, the greater income will begin after those periods - for a period of three to five years, especially.

27. (Q) What can I do to prepare myself for that period? (A) Keep in the right channels, or in the way that is opened day by day.

28. (Q) Through what channel can I make best contribution: Thru Bryan and his Dept., Odlum and his Dept., Guillion and his Dept., or Roosevelts and their depts. direct? (A) As we find keep on the open call, through those channels that are already opened, whether in one department or the other. DO NOT over stress same, see?

29. (Q) At Arthurdale, West Va., am I progressing as I should in the manufacturing and sales of the furniture and radio products? (A) As we find, it is at present very satisfactory.

30. (Q) What will be attitude and result of visit of Mr. Argy who is at Arthurdale today with Steaveotter and Johnson? (A) As we find, there will be one or two questions, but in the main the reports will be satisfactory.

31. (Q) Should I go to Arthurdale Sunday night to meet Ford there, to make up statements? (A) As we find, not particularly necessary. For all will be satisfactory, as indicated, save one or two questions which will come later.

32. (Q) Will Arthurdale be able to pay promptly for Radio and Equipment it has ordered for Brunswick?

257-236 Page 5

(A) It will be able to pay promptly.

33. (Q) Have I overextended this operation of factory by ordering over $100,000 in material, considering their assets, and the fact that most of the merchandise is already sold? (A) There may be some questions, but if there is the delivery and the payment of the merchandise as it goes through, this will clear satisfactorily.

34. (Q) What work can I take over now to manufacture at Arthurdale so we will have work for Jan. and Feb.? (A) As indicated before, it would be well to offer services in those departments where there are defense products that CAN be made; as gun stocks, as carriage parts, as any of those things that go into the equipment of such. These may fit in at this particular time, and would also insure their activities carrying on.

35. (Q) What divisions, Army, Navy or Marine, best for me to work with? (A) Army should be the natural sources for the entity, though we will find there will be parts that may come from the Navy also.

36. (Q) Will Paul Hoffman, Pres. of Studebaker, be of assistance, since he has received large money grants for materials for the Army? (A) Be a good channel and a good source or contact.

37. (Q) Would it be best to proceed with Hoffman now or later? (A) NOW!

38. (Q) Based on present development, will I be able to take over factory by Jan. 1st as agreed with Dept. of Agriculture? (A) As we find, it should be closer consummated about the 2nd of February or thereabout, or taken over as agreed.

39. (Q) Will I be able to finance the 3 plants at Arthurdale? (A) If it becomes a source of Government supply, yes.

40. (Q) How should I proceed now to accomplish it? (A) In carrying out those first orders as already indicated. Clear the activities thus far, you see. Then this is not only insuring the activities for Brunswick and other activities, but also will aid in the increase that will come with the general conditions for Brunswick as well as other outlets where manufacturing of same may be carried on in these plants. But keep the Government in such a way that there's never a question with their orders, see?

41. (Q) Considering Edw. Ridgeway has severed his relations with Skandia Furniture Co. of Rockford, should I go to Skandia with Bahr of G.E. next week-end to see bankers, Mr. Herman Goldwyn of 32 So. Clark St., Chicago, and Pete Nordby of the factory, to keep alive my connections. (A) By all means.

257-236 Page 6

42. (Q) What should be my attitude with the bankers? (A) That of keeping in touch and of their supplying through their regular channels those products that have been and that are a part of the due for the body. Just see that it is carried on out, as it has been agreed to do. Approach them with the attitude that these will be worked out, and because of their needs for the activity in and through this connection or through this plant, if they keep up the proper manner of connection and association.

43. (Q) Will the Skandia fill orders of G.E., Emerson and DeWald? (A) Provided there are the proper connections and proper understanding reached by the meeting as suggested.

44. (Q) Should I endeavor to take over my part of Skandia management or ownership of factory as suggested by bankers? (A) Do not get too many on hand at once. This would be rather as a last resort.

45. (Q) Should I discuss details with Baker of G.E. or Andrews first? (A) Baker first and then to Andrews, for these come through their regular channels and will not make disputations between these two.

46. (Q) Will I need lawyers to help me at Rockford or better handle thru customers and myself? (A) It will be safer through customers and self. If there are the needs for the legal advice, because of entanglements that might or could arise, this would come later. But holding open the idea of the management as well as the connections is good for the bankers.

47. (Q) What warnings do I need to guide me? (A) Remember the first injunction as given: Judgements, decisions, all - as ye put yourself in that attitude to be a helpful influence, live to it.
