1. GC: You will have before you [257], present in this room. Please go over the body - mental, physical and spiritual. Tell him of the present conditions you find, giving any abnormal or defective conditions in his system which he should know about, with the treatment and cure for same. You will then answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257], present in this room.

3. In the physical forces of the body we find conditions very good in many respects. There are weaknesses and tendencies existent, not only from the conditions which have heretofore arisen in the body but from the general changes that are normal in this period of the system's functionings.

4. Hence there are those things concerning which the body should be further warned; not so much in manners other than that corrective assurances be made that there are the proper coordinations between the supply and the distribution of energies and of drosses from the body.

5. We find that precautions must be taken, especially, as to the activity of the kidneys; particularly as related to the heart and the liver circulation. These will cause or produce those tendencies for formations of a character of acid in the system; that may produce at times catches, or muscular contraction, unless proper eliminations are kept in the system; also those conditions as related to the functioning of portions of the sensory organism - as from same to throat, to the nasal passages, to eyes, and to the general nervous system.

6. Then, the conditions which have existed in the unbalanced chemical forces of the body need precautions. We have indicated those things and those elements, in the main, to which the body is allergic, that must be kept low in the system; else these tendencies will also make for an irregular condition in the nerve forces as related to lymph

and emunctory circulation.

7. These, as we find then, become rather the habits and the precautions, and the diet, and the regular routines for the body.

8. As we have so oft indicated for this particular body, here is one particularly that should - more than the ordinary - budget its time for recuperation, for relaxation, for the improvement of mind, improvement of body, improvement of its spiritual and mental relationships. These should be a constant reaction, just as it is considered necessary that food be supplied the body for the resuscitating of energies, so also for the mind, so also for the reaction in all its relationships with its physical, mental and spiritual being.

9. These should be the main conditions, then, for the activities of the body. As to just what, or how - these should be kept rather in a regulation to meet the various emergencies. For in these periods, while there are times when great stress comes about, these should be taken into consideration and sufficient time be given for recuperation, for relaxation, for improvement of physical, mental and spiritual welfare.

10. These we would do.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) What is causing the itching sensation in various parts of the body from time to time in the past two weeks? (A) An excess of a chemical reaction that arises from some characters of the fruits and vegetables that have been taken. Too much potash in the system. Thus, as we find, not too much but a little iodine in the form that may be soluble so as to be assimilated by the body will keep or make a counterbalance - once a week, or some two to three times a week take those foods that carry quantities of iodine.

13. (Q) How is the best way to take the iodine? (A) As indicated, it may be taken in those foods rich in iodine - as sea foods - or it may be taken in the form of Atomidine, which is soluble iodine. Preferably the foods, - for this is the better manner, of course, of assimilating same.

14. (Q) What is the condition of the intestinal tract, especially where the operation took place? [4/23/40 Surgery for removing colon tumor.] (A) This is very good considering the whole conditions. As we find, it is very satisfactory. There are still those tendencies in the sphincter muscular forces to give some disturbance at times, but these only come under periods of stress or strain. These would then respond not only to the

257-243 Page 3

well-balanced foods and diets but also to the better eliminations and assimilations.

15. (Q) Is there any sign of the condition returning or of any other sac formation? (A) Only at times there are some tendencies in the lymph circulation for the forming of nobules. These have not as yet taken on ANY form of this nature that causes greater disturbance. But these are conditions that necessitate the keeping of better normalcy in the diet and in eliminations.

16. (Q) Is there any form of beer that the body can take without injury? (A) You can take any of it you like, but you have to pay the price for any of it you take!

17. (Q) Is there any alcoholic beverage such as gin concoction which can be taken without injury to health? (A) As we find, only some wines might be taken without injury to the health. Gin may unbalance, though there ARE some forms of redistilled gin, of course, that are very good to aid in kidney disturbance; but these should NEVER be taken to excess.

18. (Q) Why does the body once in a while feel a little drawing of the lower lip at times? (A) This as we find is merely a normal contraction of the muscular forces by changes being wrought in the glandular forces, as we have indicated, owing to the age and the activity. This will disappear with the keeping of the best activity.

19. (Q) Why does a slight heart flutter once in a while affect the body? (A) As indicated, this disturbance comes from overtaxation of the circulation between heart, liver and kidneys. Hence the need to keep a good balance; by the periods of rest, periods of relaxation, periods of recuperation and periods of specific activities; as the massage, the hydrotherapy and all of these should be consistent. Not that they should be taken always, but keep a balance. When they are needed, take them. They are needed when there is the feeling of depression. For, as indicated, these are the periods when the habit or the sufficient training of mind, of body, should warn or make the body aware of the needs for specific things or changes through the body.

20. (Q) Why does the left side above the incision sometimes feel a little sore? (A) This is a general condition that exists from contractions, or periods when through the intestinal system there are the needs for the discharging of accumulations that form in lymph pockets; which discharge takes place if

257-243 Page 4

there are the effective forces through the system. This is a sensitiveness that naturally arises in those who have had abdominal operations.

21. (Q) Also end of rib is sore occasionally. Why? (A) Same reasons.

22. (Q) What is the condition of the heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, stomach, organs? (A) As indicated, these show changes coming about; that is, the age, the activities, the desires, the hopes and the fears affect the body-physical, each bringing about changes. For, in a body - the formation of a body from the first concept - there is first the formation of brain, heart and liver, then the kidneys. These then become the organs of the central system - as to the blood supply, as to nerve energies. Then as the mind forces function, or those activities governed by the creating of glandular centers that control functioning, these change according to the natural developments of a physical organism. This particular body has reached those periods and that age when there is becoming more and more the awareness of the effect of these organs in their activity upon the body; by those periods of the glands becoming dormant or non-active or over-secreting at times. As these become active, they make the awareness to the functioning of the central organs of the body. Not that these are diseased - they may at times be at dis-ease, but if there is kept the resuscitating in the manner indicated these will come back to normal again.

23. (Q) Will the body be permitted to eat steak or roast beef in the future? (A) This may depend upon what may be the supply or demands of the body. As the body should realize, from those things indicated from time to time, when there are those activities such as to cause an upsetting, and the body is allergic to foods or certain activities, it is necessary to adhere to certain restrictions; and if it isn't willing, it must pay the price, and then meet its own self coming back!

24. (Q) Are clams a healthful food for the body? Cooked or raw? (A) Very good in most cases. Cooked OR raw, but preferably raw.

25. (Q) Asparagus and canned tomatoes? (A) Asparagus is very good. Tomatoes, excellent.

26. (Q) Would bicycle riding and golf be advisable for the body this summer? (A) By all means!

27. (Q) If the body takes a vacation this summer, would he

257-243 Page 5

enjoy it in the West on a ranch as the family desire? (A) This should be very good, would give MUCH of that need for body recuperation - especially as to location; or those special environs would be good for the body.

28. (Q) What location would be best? (A) Where the altitude is sufficient to give a bracing effect to the body, but be close to some fresh waters.

29. (Q) Arizona, Colorado or Missouri? (A) Any one of these, if the areas are such that there is sufficient altitude - that is, don't get down in a bottom somewhere!

30. (Q) Is there any other place that would be better for a complete rest of the body this summer? (A) ANY of these will be correct.

31. (Q) Would the eastern seashore be equally as valuable? (A) Not as good.

32. (Q) Considering his mental development and considering the undertakings as suggested in his Life Reading, how can he further the cause not only of his religious associates but of all other minorities? His Rdg. stated that in his later life he should be a political figure in a national sense. Is this the time for that consideration and if so, please advise and guide him. [See Life Rdg. 257-10.] (A) It is the time for the PREPARATION of same. For remember, these are to be considered, especially through those changing periods that are coming into the experience of this land, as well as of others. Then, to be in the associations and in a position to be helpful to the needs of its own faith in the various lands - rather than a political factor to aid in a CONTROL, be in the position of acknowledging the needs AND the control needed in the various periods or various lands. Thus may the body make itself able to aid in filling those needs and in carrying forward the activity of those of its faith to the glory of God and to the honor of its own people. DO NOT put the wrong thing first!

33. (Q) What is the wrong thing first? (A) Read what has just been given - to the GLORY of God and to the honor its people! not to the honor of the people to the glory of God, but to the glory of God and the honor of the people!

34. (Q) I bring up the Jewish question in all my dealings with my fellow men, to be sure they have a better understanding of the Jew. (A) Then you should - you SHOULD - better acquaint yourself with the needs of the Jewish people in the various lands!
